Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

Soreness in your forearm(and not in your wrist) would suggest to me that you are just getting sore from using that area. The fact that is gradually worsens would also point toward that. From playing the guitar for over 15 years and doing years of power-lifting style workouts, I think I’ve developed my finger strength to a point that I don’t even notice this. I do get some pretty serious pain in my hands from typing though, and after seeing that website, I now know why.

Its sad how there is no ergonomic info as it pertains to FGS. Sticks gave me RSI tendonitis and I searched for info and found almost none.

The FGC is already really a niche group. Hit Box users are only a fraction of the total gamers out there.

So there is nothing for ergonomics, plenty of BS for how various controller PCBs “LAG” but nothing for not ruining your wrist for the rest of your life.

Just got a hitbox, it’s fun! I’m playing marvel and many of the inputs I use on a stick I’ve been able to master without much difficulty…except…

Viper! Now, I’ve been able to do combos just fine, and even rapid seimso is just holding forward and plinking back+down, up+M.

On a stick I have her seismo FADC+assist call+laser charge down pretty consistently and also pretty fast. On a hitbox however, rapid seimso fadc, and rapid fadc+other stuff, seems grossly inefficient (and harmful) on a hitbox.

What I do: hold f, d+b, release b, release, d, u+M, up+S+M, M+H, then again and again across the screen. I’m concerned about which thumb should be pressing up - intuitively left should do it to free up thumb for S, but ergonomically, right hand is much easier.

For assist all I do up+S+M+asssist, and holding eye beam, I hold down L throughout all of this.

On a stick I can do this reasonably well, on a hitbox I wonder if the buttons make it harder than a stick. Anybody got any suggestions? Any viper players figure this stuff out on a hitbox?

I mean for any input method, be it stick, hitbox, pad, or other. I tried to look it up when i started having problems on stick, thats actually how I came to use a hitbox and luckily it worked for me.

Whenever I’d ask people about it they would just tell me they don’t know because they don’t have hand problems, or to stretch my fingers like people with carpal tunnel do, which didn’t help.

Can anyone show me the inside of a PS3/PC Hit Box?

-Sold-

Just picked up a ps360 Hitbox. Updated the firmware to version 1.65 and it worked perfectly. However, I plugged it into my ps with the intent to use it for Injustice and no response. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Special set up methods or button inputs needed to get it to work?

Edit: Typo I’m on moble

I thought about that a while a go. Ostensibly, a thing to try would be to build a fitted “accordion-style” all button controller with the wrists and hands in in ergonomically neutral position, but this isn’t the right place for a discussion about that.

Damn, that’s actually a really interesting idea.

check your pms

Hi does anyone know if it’s possible to get 24 mm gamerfinger buttons shipped with the hit box instead of the sanwas? Also I was wanting to get 12 Atk buttons instead of 8 like sakos stick so wanted to see if there is any interest out there? and if there is enough support maybe the guys at hitbox could do another stick with 16 buttons in total (incl directional inputs) for when the new ps360+ drops with next gen support.

I’m curious what you’d use the other two buttons for. Mapping stuff like throw/focus in sf4, or maybe for plinking with select?

Yea plinking with select and mapping a single direction to a button e.g. Up so you can easily do akuma standing U2 or forward or down to more easily Kara cancel command normals or crouching normals into ultra to get combos more easily like sakos eryu U2 combo Or focus for gen to easily do focus stance change or just dead buttons to mash and get reaction from opponent sitting next to you.

I’m trying to figure out if modding a Wii stick into a hitbox is possible, but it looks a bit too small. Anyone have any insight to this before I try to find someone to make it a reality? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51GNWL5m9EL.jpg

You don’t have to keep the same case. Regardless, this thread is for the Hit Box ™, and that question really belongs in the generic all button controller thread or somewhere else.

Hellos! (maybe wall-o-txt here)

So I was just introduced to what a hitbox controller is the other day (er-Monday?), and I got to say… awesome. I enjoy fighting games, but am always on the bad side of input-combos. My 2 favorite fighting games are what everyone plays: Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. I’ve always enjoyed the two.
I was introduced to the hitbox when I was talking to my cousin about getting the MK10 controller (it…is ok). He has and uses a arcade stick, I was never a fan of going to arcades to play fighting games (due to my lack-o-skill with exact direction input).

Yada yada yoda, I’ve now spent the last few days looking into Hitbox and one of the many Arcade stick companies. I keep ending on Hitbox.
I can’t seem to find the exact answers to my questions, so here I am hoping y’all can give me some better infos:

  1. Should I wait?

-I play PC and PS3/4 games. I use to be a console only person, but over the last 10 years I’ve transitioned into more of a PC player. My big lean towards hitbox is the buttons. I PC game with a G13 and logitech’s MMO mouse (buttons buttons buttons!). Picking up a console controller has started to feel weird. I’m not an all thumbs guy anymore.
I read that there is no current ps4 hitbox. I also read that it will however work in ps4’s MK10.
Is there a light at the end of the tunnel for a ps3,4,pc version? It worries me to buy something that may not work for future fighting games on ps4, and I’m not a fan of buying multiple versions of the same game on multiple platforms.
Or I buy a hit box and next week the ps4 version comes out -.-

I keep on wanting to hit buy, but yea… I then stop.

Didn’t notice this until now (your response). I flagged your post because you, per the Trading Outlet rules, do not meet the requirements for selling your stuff on SRK.

Just switched the direction buttons (and direction buttons only) on my Hitbox from Sanwa to Gamerfinger w/Cherry MX Blue and so far so good. Would recommend others giving it a shot.

Here’s a hitbox I modded for PS4 and added LEDs with a Kaimana.

Not really my thing, but makes for an enjoyable video. Nicely done
