If it was up to me, I would not make a public statement about PS4 compatibility at all until I had something more concrete than preliminary alpha testing.
But Aki shop really let the cat out the bag too soon, and we got this whole speculation bubble over PS4 and Xbox One compatibility nonsense.
Now Aki shop has this growing pressure to deliver a product, we got either people scrambling to buy PS360+ PCBs expecting full compatibility or refusing to buy anything to hold out for something that might not even happen.
Seeing there previous track record of undelivered promises I am take the side of the skeptic. I want VMU compatibility, something else they announced. Its been 2 years now.
It seems to randomly give me a right analog input to the left direction. Its not rare, happens at least once every 20-30 minutes. It has caused me to drop inputs several times, almost like it cancels out any input I do at the same time it happens. It only happens when I’m pressing buttons, usually the Triangle/Y button.
I’m able to tell its a left right analog input because, when in training mode for SC5, the training settting shifts to the left, and the only way to do that is with the right analog on a pad.
I’ve already tried cleaning out the buttons and checking the cables for any kind of damage. What could it be? Is my PCB screwed or something?
The firmware can be checked by pluging the controller into a PC under devices and printers.

Not sure this is actually the appropriate thread for this, but I’ve been using a modified TE stick with a Hitbox panel for about three years now. There are still some things that feel more natural using a stick, yet I have never been able to stand how large and how far spaced apart the default Madcatz buttons are. The 24mm buttons and spacing are absolutely perfect, and my fingers are not short. Does anyone know if there are any panels that use a joystick, but also have the same 24mm punch/kick button layout?
Currently on the market? There aren’t any. You could always make one yourself however. Would you really go back to stick after playing hitbox for 3 years though? That’s longer than I’ve even been playing fighting games!
I am sure we will all have to return to arcade stick or standard controller for a season. Next generation consoles have cracked down hard on unauthorized equipment. I have already tearfully tucked away my beloved two to three year old Hit Box. Remaining hopeful that I do not injure myself again on arcade stick before Hit Box can produce a PS4 product. I am surprised someone like MadCatz hasn’t approached them about joining forces to get more proper controllers into player’s hands. The PS4 arcade stick SOLD OUT signs are everywhere, and the demand is crazy. Anyways, my old Hit Box has been a trooper far beyond any other controller I have owned and I look forward to the future of Hit Box.
Before I bought a real HitBox, my original “hitbox” was a TE with a metal plate that someone on the forums here made for me in the Hitbox layout. Assuming you can even get your hands on one (still “sold out”), could something similar be done with the PS4 stick? Daisy-chaining the ground isn’t difficult, I think there were even people selling premade wire harnesses.
But you could just as easily make that yourself. Getting the panel is a tougher proposition. @“B-boy Tekken” was kicking out custom plates for people until recently. My original project TE was based off the official hitbox layout from him, then I had him do a tweaked design on a TE2 template later on. 100% plug n’ play with the existing wiring + the ArcadeForge harness.
Anyone know if this works on PS4 and PS3 yet? I’d like to get a Hitbox, but I don’t want to shell out $225 and then buy a stick for PS4 compatability anyways.
There are a few motions I cannot do on the Hitbox, no matter the practice. The largest issue are 720 … I simply can’t.
What I would like to know how to do: Guile’s flashkick, FADC, U2.
How in the world can that be done on the HB? I can’t do it on a joystick, so it just boggles my mind on how to do it on a HB. I can do Guile’s super/u1 just fine, but the FADC to U2 is simply too tough. Any tips?
There are multiple ways to do 720s on a hit box depending on the game engine, and flashkick FADC sonic hurricane is really simple once you understand SOCDs which are explained in the videos, and charge partitioning, which is just the idea that you can retain back charge through the forward dash.
What do you mean it’s hard on you hand? Are you experiencing pain or discomfort? I’m not sure what the problem could be, or how a charge move could be any more difficult than anything else. Could you elaborate?
Getting some forearm pain/discomfort in my left arm. Don’t get it on stick. Was just wondering whether other folks have had issues with RSI and the Hitbox.
Fresh windows install. Hit box worked first time I started up SF4. I shut down SF4, and started it back up, and now the Hit Box isn’t responding but is registered under controllers. The hit box works everywhere else, and drivers seem to be in order. Tried reinstalling drivers, tried rebooting, tried restarting steam…
