Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

Just tried this and unfortunately it didn’t seem to improve on it either. I’ll try to see if it does it when in PS3 / PC mode too, so far I’ve only tried it on Xbox.

Alright, I just tried testing it in forced PC mode and it does indeed seem to be a problem exclusive to the Xbox 360 mode. I will try writing the PS360+ guys and ask about a fix, since it’s quite clearly then something to do with that.

That’s pretty awesome. Do I have to pop it open to add in a RJ-45 cable? I’m not seeing any connector anywhere…

Yes you would. You can either replace the Neutrik connect with a RJ-45 one or you can route your cable some other way. The only things you would need are a RJ-45 to USB cable and another small RJ-45 cable to go in your case, and of course the adapter itself.

 I was scouring the thread to find a template for custom art to put on a Hitbox and ran into this. I think the logic that he uses for pads works as well for the Hitbox if you consider how PC Gamers used to use keyboards to play emulators T_T

With that said… Can someone please link me to the template? =P

Odd question (I don’t have my hitbox in front of me), How exactly do you remove the top plexi?

I need a hitbox that is compatible with ps4. Specifically I want to use it to play GG Xrd. This game will be released in late 2014. Will someone please tell me if such a product will be available by then?

If not, I am willing to pay top dollar to have one made/modded for me. This is a product I cannot do without while sustaining my current quality of life.

I searched the thread and I know the current hit boxes are not compatible but that is not my question. I want one that is and I am willing to buy an upgrade if need be. Money is not the problem. I just need to be able to play GG Xrd on a hitbox on ps4. Hell I’ll buy a ps4 hitbox if they make one. I just wanna know because HB is all I’m comfortable with and I’m not going back to stick.

They are releasing Guilty Gear Xrd on the PS3, though. Why not just buy that version?

Finally finished with the first try at modding the hitbox to my liking, but ran into some problems. While stripping the original artwork off (seriously, it was much harder than it should have been), I dropped the plexi and scratched it to hell. Tried to polish it off, but they were much too deep to remove. I contacted the guys at hitbox last week and have yet to hear back from them about buying a replacement. Hopefully it comes in soon.

One thing I really wanted with this case was a handle of sorts. I didn’t feel comfortable wrapping the cable around the case like I have seen others do, so I found this cabinet handle at home depot and drilled into the case and mounted it. Works for carrying it and for wrapping the cable around it when I am not using it.

Will the white hitboxes with the green buttons ever be back in stock? Those looked so awesome.

Are there any pictures of internals somewhere? I can’t find any. The PS3/PC one.

Time to wait for clear plexis

Its a PS3/PC Cthlhu and some wire going to the buttons

Hey, i just ordered a Hitbox last night, and the first thing i want to do is replace the art, i read here someone said it was harder than it should be to remove, could you expound on this, you said the art is printed to the plexi, so what type of chemical remover should i use? Been searching Deviant Art for a while now trying to find that one epic print.

Long time HitBox owner here, I have the version that has the detachable wire. It has served me remarkably well up until now. I have run into the inevitable problem of the detachable wire coming loose and causing games to pause. I tried a quick fix and threw some duck tape around it but it doesn’t seem to be helping much. Even the slightest movement will cause disconnection.

Is there any kind of fix for this problem? I understand that the developers have done away with the detachable wire and made it always connected.

Edit: It appears now that my computer is not recognizing the HitBox when connected, even though it used to with no problem. It either says ‘Device not installed correctly’ or ‘Device not recognized’. I’ve tried 2 different USB cables, same result.

Is there instructions anywhere on how to remove the top plexi? Also I’ve been unable to locate a PSD template for this? Can anyone help?

Update on the USB problem:

After all the messing around with the USB cord, the solution was to just use the RJ45 input instead. I initially thought the RJ45 only worked for PS/PS2, but it works for all the systems.

For those with the detachable cord model of the HitBox, I would recommend switching over because the RJ45 connector has a locking mechanism and is much more secure. The guys at the modding booth at ECT last weekend were able to just change my USB cable to a RJ45 one in no time. I initially thought I would need to have them solder the USB cable to the PS360+.

RJ45 is nothing more than a connector, it is whats wired to that connector that counts.

What kind of connector you use is arbitrary as long there enough connectors to get all your lines connected.
RJ45, DB 9, Mini Din 8, with the exception of the DB 9 they all have 8 pins for connections. Obviously the DB 9 has 9 pins.
There all different Just style connectors, Technically you can get away with 4 BNC connectors but that would be inefficient.

Your USB cable only uses 4 of those 8 pins.

Any tutorials on C.Viper Seismo Spam for HITBOX? SSF4ae

Do you have a sku # on that handle? I went to home depot and the only bar style ones like that they had were silver :’(
