Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

theres no way to use headset on xbox for it?

So I placed my order for a hitbox multi-console on Friday. Anyone know what the normal shipping turn around time is? Super excited to get mine!

Finally got around to putting art on my stick. It’s my first time and cutting the art and adding holes to it was a scary experience. I also learned how to drive stick today.

Too sick. Asuka was always my favorite.

my jelly levels just rose 1000x

Your box should be in the mail. You should have received a tracking number in your email, if not hit me up over at hitboxes@gmail.com and I’ll help you out.

That custom artwork looks really cool Haku. I love it when I get to see what you guys are doing with your Hit Boxes.

I was at Megacon this weekend. When I went into the game room and sat down coincidentally there was another hitbox player. ā€œMy hitbox bretherenā€ He looked confused as hell until I pulled out the Hitbox. Good games were had and I won a headset in the tournament that Microsoft had going. That was second place. This was first place I think. So many people had questions. One guy even tried me with ā€œOh you’re Full Schedule status?ā€ Lols were had.

I’m trying to decide which version to buy.
So what are the extra step to getting the PS3/PC version to work on a 360? At home I can just use it on PC. But all the tourney use 360.

Also how does half circle motion work on GGXX: AC (arcade emulation on the PC). I can’t properly pull it off on a keyboard unless I buffer it into a normal. Will that be an issue on the hitbox? That’s my biggest worry to be honest. I know it fine for the like of AE and stuff, but it seem input leniency is stricter in guilty gear.

For a PS3/PC Hitbox to work on the Xbox 360, you have to do this one modification we around here know as a Dual-mod.
A Dual-mod is when one controller PCB (printed circuit board) is piggy backing of another PCB to extend how many systems a controller will support.
The PS3/PC version of the Hitbox is powered by a Toodles Cthulhu which is perfect for a dual-mod. You need a v2.0 Imp board (or a DPDT switch) and a Xbox 360 controller PCB preferibily a Mad Catz Fightpad as they are easy to pad-hack. The other easy way to do this is just replace the Cthulhu with a all-in-one PCB the PS360+

You can save your self the hasle and headaches of modding if you get the Multi Console version of the Hitbox which comes with the PS360+.
The PS360+ has the added benefit of also working on PS2/PS1, Dreamcast and the Original Xbox (RJ45 cables sold separately)

@Husser_Brianā€Œ
I just revisited the store
I though the Hitbox is made out of wood, when did you guys switched to metal.

We switched to metal about 3 years ago. The wood boxes were very early prototype builds that we really didn’t even want to sell, but people were excited to get in on it early so we put them out.

Also, Akishop is reporting that PS360+ has a beta firmware working on PS4, so those of you who own a multi console Hit Box might soon yet be able to enjoy next gen without an upgrade.

Thanks John for the clarification and the news about the PS360+

Order #2288 here.

Just want to make sure there no artwork printed on the Plexiglass on mine, if it at all possible. Also hoping some quick clarification here:

And lastly before I forget, what colors are the buttons going to be? If possible, can I get red movement buttons and black attack buttons?

I can’t wait till it get here.

I don’t know anything about GGXX, and I don’t know if this answers your question, but I figure it couldn’t hurt to mention:

Hitbox features a SOCD cleaner that, among other things, makes half-circles easier (this cleaner is controversial, but that’s irrelevant). It makes left+right=neutral, and up+down=up (the latter is also irrelevant to this tidbit).

Here’s a normal half-circle input, going by keypad notation: 4 > 2 > let go of 4 > 6 > let go of 2 > atk

Here’s a Hitbox, SOCD cleaned half-circle input: 4 > 2 > 6 > let go of 4 > let go of 2 > atk

That might not seem like a big difference, but it makes half-circles much easier to input, just by what comes naturally to your fingers. It’s a ā€œlazyā€ way to do a half-circle, but the Hitbox cleans up your input and makes it into a legitimate half-circle.

Again, not sure if that answered your question, but hopefully it did, if you were unaware of this before.

Also, while I am 80% sure Hitbox button colors are not set in stone and it depends on stock, I will let you know that mine did indeed come with red movement and black attack. I believe that is the go-to, if they have those in stock.

The button colors are pretty standard now. I haven’t really deviated from the standard colors you guys see on the website for at least a year and a half. In fact, those colors are most all of what I have been stocking now, so it’s a bit tougher to do custom button color orders then it used to be.

As long as folks let me know in the comments section of their order, I can generally re-arrange the 3 stock colors pretty easily for their Hit Box if they want it.

Did you guys see this crazy Strider stuff Dustin has been coming up with?

Ah, does the multi-console hitbox support systems like the PS2 and Dreamcast? If it does, it’s an instabuy!

Well it’s the PS360+, so yes.

Hey guys. After installing a PS360+ on my controller I’ve had a problem with multiple button inputs giving me each one for itself at seemingly random. I never had this problem before, sometimes it won’t happen for a bit and other times it’ll happen several times in a row. I linked a video so you can see that I’m pressing the buttons at the same time each time yet it will give me LP and MP on their own out of nowhere (not even a plinked MP), making any EX move and all feints very unreliable. If anyone has any idea what the problem could be please let me know!

If I had to take a guess it’s the wiring, in that either something is shorting out or something is touching something else. Without touching the box myself or being able to look at it it’s hard to say, that’s just the impression that I get.

Thanks for the reply. I opened it and checked both wires weren’t touching anything and made sure there was enough wire and it’s still doing exactly the same thing unfortunately.

I checked with other buttons and it’s a universal problem, so I assume it has something to do with the PS360+. Still not sure what the problem is or how to fix it though.

You can always start with a fresh firmware update on the ps360+
