Go to the replay channel under PSN/XBL in SSF4 and there should be a item called “battle log” you can save your replays from there.
Ok just to help you guys out I found out something interesting , I’m reposting this just to show the people that have NOT seen this yet
You’ll see it and you’ll know what I’m talking about

It’s some crazy input. 214921 I think? Going to test it. I know that’s the way to get really low EX axe kicks, and [should] make axe kicks go lower.
edit: I was doing 214963214 or something for the really, really low axe kicks.
Is that some kind of OS with wakeup? jHK and input the ultra?
any untechable (back throw in this case)
forward+strong
neutral jump
qcf+roundhouse (neutral jump roundhouse) (Do this when you will get a meaty)
qcf+3K (U2)
If jump roundhouse touches: no ultra, go into whatever
If jump roundhouses whiffs: do ultra
Looks like in the video, he did back throw, whiff forward+strong, neutral jump, down+roundhouse, and then buffered the rest after the roundhouse.
I’m starting to have a lot of trouble finding a place and time to use hayate feints. Most of the time, I would simply imagine that I don’t use them because the opponents I’m against don’t require me to use them. I guess what I’m asking is that I want to use feints more often but I don’t have a safe way of applying them against, say, a c.lk mashing Chun Li or Dictator.
My typical action of feints go cLP sLP sMP > feint > kara-throw using LK~LPor whatever other options I feel.
or any sMP sLK > feint > throw/choke/c.lk etc
or cLP sLP sLK > feint > whatevers.
In a lot of games I feel I have no need to use feints and after so many of those games, I get into a groove in which I end up never using feints for that night. Do a lot of you feel this way when you play? Maybe it’s just my scene of players I’m against locally or the opponents I get online? I’m finding rare occasions to even bother with feints anymore… Advice?
I really only use Hayte feints in 4 situations:
-FFS
-after a blocked c.:mp: or s.:hp:
-s.:mp: HC Karakusa
-(corner) combo into EX Hayate, Fukiage, whiff j.:hk:, whiff c.:lk:, (meaty) s.:hk: (blocked or not), s.:lk: HC, s.:lk: Blockakusa(?) (VERY DANGEROUS but purty :))
I dont’ think they are as important in block strings in AE due to f.:lp:… so any other time I would’ve used a HC in Super, I use a f.:lp: now…
EDIT- I dont’ have to use the s.:lk: HC on some characters. But most characters, especially if they are crouching, the (meaty) s.:hk: (blocked) to s.:lk: blockakusa doesn’t reach. It looks like it should but it doesn’t for some reason…
is smp os hayate possible? i cant even do it. it always cancels on hit. I just sweep os or chk os or dash os.
it does “work” but as you probably already knew, sMP is special cancelable, so obviously you will get a Hayate regardless
wow i never knew that i thought there was a special timing
This link doesn’t work any more, do we have this info somewhere else?
Which Option Select is this? There are several of them…
I believe you’re right, but I’m not sure how many situations there are where you’d want to option select a hayate off a st.mp rather than off of jab chains or a neutral jump attack or something.
cr.lk hc is good after a jump in if you want to stop your block string but stay just outside of throw range.
Is there any setup after forward throw? The throw is ass, but, you know, Kara-throw and all that. Lots of people hold up, and I guess you can dash up and buffer Fukiage or U1, but that leaves you open.
Maybe something like forward dash, c.LK buffered EX Hayate, OS LP Fukiage afterward? To the training mode!
Edit: It works, and it’s sick looking. You have to essentially just do a *very slightly slower *c.LK xx LP Fukiage with PP added after the 236 to stop it from being a Fukiage. So, 66, c.LK xx 236+PP, 236+LP, fast.
I suppose you could do dash up, c.LP, 36+LP, 236+PPP as well to OS Ultra!
Anyone have any other setups?
That sounds NIIIIIIICE! I like it a lot! I will definatly be adding this to the repertoire.
I would condition them with f:mp: first though, to protect your dash. Most people will show their hand after a good headbutt (esp. after Hayate). The good thing is, after forward throw, f.:mp: beats or trades with damn near anything they can throw out. Beats jump. Beats mashing. I dont’ know if their timing is off but it almost always beats SRKs due to the great range. Also sets up Kara EX Karakusa (all types). Once you are sure they jump or back dash every time, I say go for your option select. That shit is hot.
EDIT- Damn they dont’ let you like your own post anymore lol.
Just figured something: forward throw, f+MP OS negative edged MP Fukiage at the end.
Beats lots of pokes and even SRKs as you said, hits neutral jump and forward jump (!!!), and f+MP is in range to be blocked, so the OS won’t come out if they sit still. Loses to backdash, walk back, and jump back. In the corner, the opponent is quite fucked! I’ll be honest, I’ve been doing shit like forward throw, j.HP pre-emptively in the corner to 50-50 a jump. This is waaay better.
I think the theory for these OSs should be the c.LK OS mid-screen, f+MP in the corner.
Agreed. It covers more options and gives her more control over the opponents movements. Really can’t wait to get home to try this stuff out lol. AHHHH WORK!!
It seems like f+MP hitting your opponent is character specific. On Fei Long, f+MP OS MP Fukiage works wonders. On Makoto, f+MP whiffs, and MP Fukiage doesn’t even hit her neutral jump. Gonna check this out when I’m done with my lobby.
I dont understand. If opponent blocks your crLK, makoto will perform EXhayate (or fukiage) no?
or maybe you meant “crLP”?
I meant c.LK. If you dash up and do a c.LK xx EX Hayate, and they’re there to take the hit, it activates, and the next inputs don’t matter as you’re doing an EX Hayate at the time. If they’re not there (hopefully due to neutral jump), the extra 236+LP comes into play and OS LP Fukiage comes out.
