Heroes World Thread (Toronto/York/Markham) CASUALS EVERY WEDNESDAY

Hey alvin, who were you at Hero’s World? The adon player? i faced lol. you grab alot which is fine i guess haha.

naw i wasnt there lol, i main rog and sim

Are you coming this wednesday? we’ll face each other, ill be the guy with the 360 pad lols.

GGs man. I was thinking that you were getting bored at owning my Cody with your Sim =P. I think Cody is free for Sim… doesn’t really have any methods to get in.

But for sure, next time I’m on, I’ll play with Guile to train with you =). Reason why I was using Cody the entire night was because I’m trying to get better with him.

hey how many setups do u guys have for this wednesday?

Probably not, I don’t get home till 6:30 on weekdays, I’ll probably be there on saturday though.

Your Cody was figuring out how to get in after a while, each match was starting to get progessively harder and harder. I’m scared of how your guile is now lol

Is that a HRAP3, or a different one?

should have 4 setups! 2 xbox and hopefully 2 ps3…gotta get a line on a 2nd ps3 and copy of the game…but i think we should be fine

no, it’s a wireless hori stick. Actually pretty good, i borrowed on to test on my ps3. It’s a good casual stick…but not very modable because it’s so thin

hope to see most of ya’ll this week!! I’ve been trying to practice online, but the timing is a little different and it’s a different mentality when there isn’t someone sitting next to you. i find myself doing very foolish things that i would never do in a real match…maybe my brain thinks i’m playing against the computer or something

sorry to hear that, no one played/plays rog there
and at T11 all I fought were rog players
I know zero about the matchup

I might have to train my Cody more with your Sim so I know what options I have to get in on keep away characters. Haha… progressively harder and harder or not, if this were a tourney, I would’ve been out way long ago. =P

I don’t think the vs. Guile fight will be hard or scary. Just really… boring. You’re Sim, THE stay away character. And I’m Guile, the guy who wants you to be away. See the conflict of interest? Basically whoever gets the life lead is the person who’s going to win.

Unless you’re talking about your Boxer… in that case, things will be more interesting. =P.

FA is your friend. Use it sparingly to fish out dash uppers/straights and score crumples. TAP and the armour breaking one (over head) are relatively slow so you can react to it…(in theory anyway…lol). I don’t know who you play, so I can’t really give more help apart from what I normally do against Boxers.

I’ve been thinking about checking you guys out befort but, being such a mission from where I live (by bus at least), I never got around to it. I’m thinking about coming for the tournament this Saturday though, does it start at 1 or is that just the registration?

don’t forget to come out tonight folks!!

also please pay before you play…if there any any issues like i said always come talk to me (example: “yo jon, i only got like 2 games in.”) and i’ll take care of you

possible 5 set-ups tonight! so bring your sticks or pads!

tourney is scheduled for 1pm start time…so just show up then…won’t take long to register ppls…i’ll probably start a sign-up sheet tonight

that’s Radica i think that was playing Adon

adon’s throw is sooo good, if fei had a throw like that i’d definitely be using it alot!

5 stations up and ready to roll! come on out folks!

Thanks for hosting casuals again tonight John.

Does anyone know how to play the Zangief match with Guile? I have a hard time online whenever I get knocked down by one of them.

Thanks

It’s good to know that my friend, the Akuma player enjoyed the casuals, as for my Ibuki, I can’t say the same :stuck_out_tongue:
See you guys there on Saturday~

Yes we actually walked in first before paying, saw Jon playing and then saw the sign “Please pay before you play” haha whoops.

no worries, sign is there mostly so nobody wanders in. Once and a while some kid will waltz in thinking it’s just free games…don’t want them taking time from you guys that are paying

thanks to everyone that came out! we had about 14 ppl total. hope ya’ll had a good time. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to run things better, or ensure people have a good time. I’m wondering if some ppl want some more structured form of play, like pairings or something like that, i’m going to look into how to run ranbats or whatever it’s called to see if ppl would like to add that.

Special thanks to Omega again for setting us up with 2 extra stations and plenty of sticks! Anyone looking for sticks or pads be sure to show your appreciation and buy from us which comes back to Omega!

i didn’t get a chance to get many games in cause one of my guys called in sick, but looked like ppl got in some good practice!

hope to see most of you on saturday!

I’d love to come Saturday but sadly I’m working. If I do manage to call in sick, then I’d love to come in.

You should try a team tournament or ranbat. It’ll bring more people out, I think.

i think u only need to put some structure if there is a lot of ppl. if theres a lot of ppl then u might have to say like everythign is out of 3 and winner stays on or something like that. but all the players are considerate enough to let ppl watching have a turn so its all good

Its nice to have another option in “Toronto” for places to play… Ranbats are nice, But I think a Swiss Style Ranbat would give more value to players, and not feel the pressure from going 0-2.

Structure is important because if its in place, ppl know where they can regularly go to play games. I seems Heroes is doing much better now with the numbers now that there is set days to play.

Hopefully my work and school schedule will align with the stars so I can come out and play guilt free
