The move is done using S and ATK. It is FULLY invincible expect it has end lag that is not invincible, but the move can be hyper canceled. (tried it out today at comic con)
I see. So it was an :s::atk: move after all. Seems great. I’d really like to see if Capcom decided to give Joe anything else.

There is no way they would let that move cancel into groovy upper. I mean, that would be awesome, but also pretty ridiculous. Like break the game ridiculous.
Hyper canceled at any time. Cant be canceled into anything else but hypers. Cept maybe X Factor, didnt try.
I don’t know how long the dodge’s recovery is but it could be good for punishing supers like Spencer’s bionic arm. If you can recover in time you can just start a normal combo and not have to worry about using a super immediately.
True, this is a good point. I was trying to think of situations where I would use Slow Dodge first, instead of just going straight into Mach Speed, but I couldn’t think of anything really. I hope they didn’t give him this move because they nerfed Mach Speed invincibility…
yeah I’m afraid of a mach speed nerf as well. Only time will tell.
Slow dodge may be able get you out of some tight situations without using meter. Let’s say that Joe is your last character and you are about to die. The other player has Sent and does HSF to chip you out. If Joe did Mach Speed to pass the Drones and punish Sent, he would most likely eat a counter DHC right there. If the recovery permits, however, Joe could slow dodge each wave 3 times and still be in the fight.
Hey guys thanks to a lot of the stuff you posted I was able to use Joe in my newest video, it’s not the flashiest stuff and it’s mostly recycled but it’s a bit of a roundup of what he can do. Hope you like it.
With Gustaff Fire assist nerf, it seems to really hurt Joe. A lot of my old set ups dont work.

coming back to regular mvc3 for a second…
Ive discovered that if you TAC any direction into Joe, you can mash Light Air Joe, and it will continue hitting them all the way until you land. I only got like 5 min to play around with this, but if you have good timing you should be able to relaunch.
now, you people who have techskill and a copy of the game (looking at you zoog) go take this information and make something amazing out of it.
I’m pretty sure you can do this with the H version, then do st H into relaunch as well. The H air Joe also works if you start it straight after a launcher. It rapes your damage scaling though.

Cause the hit stun doesnt really take effect untill your character touches the ground.
Did anyone try messing around with the Slow Dodge.
Like baiting an attack then dodging and smacking a debuff slow on them?
Did anyone see if we could still control the detonation of the Shocking Pink Bomb?

So can you cancel any normal to Slow Dodge?
Cause if so I can already see Joe with even more dangerous mix ups in the corner.
The Slow Dodge (input = Attack+Special) is only special and super cancelable. Without following up, the Slow Dodge has a lot of recovery and will leave Joe open for punishment, so it be best to cancel into something, preferably 623B or Mach Speed super.

What I meant is that since Slow Dodge has start up invincibility I was going by…(Its Special Cancel-able? O_o)
Say you wiff a normal cause s.H or s.M wiffed on a small character. Can you cancel that to make it safe or even bait by using slow dodge?
Or after a corner combo you drop in with a M/H Voomerang an try for an overhead.
If you messed up usually you would have to cancel to Groovy Upper/Mach Speed.
Now you can have more options to bait things and “troll” the opponent.
Back to vanilla MvC3. I know you can cancel Groovy Upper L/M to Mach Speed if you fast enough.
So did any mess around with the H version by using this on the second part of it.
Or does push blocking mess Joe up to much and gets punished before he even lands?
if you can special cancel it into any special. that will make him one of the best in the game at fireball fights.
other guy gets his fireball out before you? dodge it, cancel into voomerang, start offensive pressure with iaD voomerangs.
