All using the beta Assists (Samurai Edge for Wesker, Groovy Upper for Joe, Dagger Toss for Arthur)
As soon as game starts I go gold with Arthur and switch to Joe. I use Arthur’s assist to aid Joe’s slow walk speed so I can get in and use the God Hand slow hyper. If I’m facing a, say, Sentinel I normally save meter so I can loop the Bracelet for an easy kill on a giant nuisance.
Wesker is the last hope of the team. Good damage and insane mixups. Normal magic series into OTG Samurai, XFC into Level 3 solves so many problems.
DHC’s are kinds of meh on this team unless I have someone cornered while I bracelet, then I use Joe’s Mach speed for a free Launcher into air combo into Air Desperado.
You know thats really funny as i just started to play with this team i just tried to play and really liked it. I do like all of those characters as doom seems meh to me and didnt offer much but like you said dhcs are really a meh on this team. I might start playing this as i have been practicing joe and rocking spencer/dorm/ironman but i would like to know what loop are you talking about. I will be playing wesker until shuma comes out and i never though about switching out arthur first after doing the super i always put joe on point damn good thinking. If anyone has the link to the loop post it here or ill just check in the arthur thread.
The loop is only possible on Sentinel (I think).
That Arthur loops is possible on anybody, it’s more like a link. Requires strict timing.
Dunno if this has been discovered, but I found a much easier way to kara airdash. Instead of pressing:
:l:+:m:, :l:~:m: to double dash, press :l:+:m:, :l:+:m:+:s:
It’ll have the same double airdash effect, but doesn’t require plink timing.

If you DHC Viewtiful god hands, Will it still slow the person?
You can’t DHC out of Godhand, but you can DHC into it.
Just wanted to note that if they fall out of Mach Speed you can still superjump cancel it. Dunno if peeps know that.
ATM I run Joe/Pool/MODOK. Very nice DHCs. Joe’s groovy upper mach speed combo leads to exchange, leading to Cuttin’ Time, which leads to God Hand if you time it right. Round’ trip ya’ll.
Hey guys, I’m copying this from the combo thread because it might deserve mention as general strategy with Joe
Right now, I feel like Air Joe can do for air combos what Groovy Uppercut does for ground combos. I think this can strengthen the damage and possibilities Joe has by learning to mix in Air Joe this way during air-to-air situations.
I’m thinking of Going Joe/Zero/Arthur just to be that Midget Team.

Yo josh wong was running that viewtiful joe on the 8 on the break stream and he was actually doing pretty well. He busted him out as a counter to sentinel(called it), the only problem with the way he played was he acted like joe had sentinel health and was just taking hit after hit. Hopefully they upload the matches tomorrow so we can dissect some of his gameplay.
I Really like using Deadpool with Joe but I have to work on a third member don’t really have a person per-say but I do like using Spencer as point he builds meter so fast for me and he’s easy to DHC into.

Any tips on implementing his bnb combo (with the groovy uppercut)? c.H doesnt give enough time for me to hit confirm in the uppercut even tho i can do the combo with ease!
I agree, great Voomerang play. It’s looking more and more like Joe doesn’t have that hard a time getting in by himself…
I almost always start the BnB with a j.:s:. Use kara airdashes and Voomerangs to help land that first hit. Once you do, it’s easy to confirm a j.:s: hit into s.:h: > c.:h: > BnB.

SJ charged vroomerang is sooooooooooo much better in this game. Locks down so well it’s not even funny. And it’s a lot faster/safer to use.
