Other than ammy does anyone know any other characters that seem to work well with Joe?
i was wondering if you could stick an assist right after slow - something like trish trap? then combo into snapback. that would be too sick.
I think they do [media=youtube]x4G1eR7mfx8#t=2m21s[/media] granted this was an early build so it might have changed over time but unless my eyes deceive me they stacked in this vid.
Hmm, I’m not sure comboing into snapback would be desirable - the enemy is prone before you, why help him escape?
Because once they are slowed they become next to useless as an assist, but you raise a good point, why not just kill the damn assist that’ll make it completely useless.
it might be situational, where you can just finish off the character if you can before slow runs out.
Ammy’s affects the field, Joe’s affects the character. That’s why they stack, afaik.

While I agree with is range and gun special, we haven’t had the game long enough(or at all) to know what kind of ground combos he is capable of. And even if all he has are good air combos i fail to see why this is a problem, he seems to be able to launch of almost everything. I also agree that not too many people will play him but i doubt it will be because he sucks, because i seriously doubt he will suck. He was good in tvc and he has gotten naught but buffs in marvel 3 so i find it hard to believe he will be worse than he was.
also the most important combo you wanna hit is a ground only one (being ABC xx Handjob)
He may have recieved nothing but buffs but the opponents are now Dante with easy 100% combos right off match start, Arthur, tons of teleporting motherfuckers etc. We will see how he fares in this game but somehow I can’t help but feel a bit diminutive facing off with stubby little punches and kick, against the most ridiculous fucking cast in fighting game history.
Well a lot of the tvc characters were monsters as well, soki had range that rivals any marvel character, tekkeman blade had ridiculously damaging combos with very silly resets. I get your point that it doesn’t work like math since the cast is completely different but either way joe still looks good from the marvel gameplay we’ve seen. But yea we will have to wait and see how it turns out.
Battery duties/don’t have the meter for a DHC or that combo into Mach Speed into launch into Sex Machine Cannon/snap brings in an almost dead point character that got out earlier/gives the opponent more rope to hang themselves with (My assist is useless? Call it and get the slow off! Wait, what do you mean I can’t block anything on reaction now?)
A useless living character will bother an opponent more than a dead one, because there’s still hope for the living.

Joe’s problems will be those who jump away a lot since he lost his horizontal red hot kick.

Joe: With his new tools like instant invisible overheads,safe red hot kicks, a super that launches and can lead to another super, and a super that fucks a character over and basically destroys an assist he looks very solid now.
Plus…HE"S VIEWTIFULL FUCKING JOE!!

Well ok then.
With her Ankle Slicer Assist and Joe’s overhead you can create unblockable situations. Wich means more chances for Joe to lay the hurt on.
