Joe relaunch combo, potentially a loop?

I tried every day to get another rep off of that, but never managed it. I’m guessing it might work on Sent, though.

Then again, I wasn’t trying constantly… Somebody should try it next Fight Club

Am I the only one who noticed that Joe’s dive kick is completely safe on block, all versions?

Also that relaunch combo did exist in TvC but it was very inconsistent. Maybe it’s easier in MvC3.

C version of his RHK seems to be punishable, not sure, though.

Wow that dude rekindled my interest in joe, despite his presumably terrible normals that dive kick looked intense, hopefully you can TK it. But a question, his gun super, is it still chargeable? Because i think it was chargeable in tvc, and it doesn’t look like it does much damage here.

Regrettably it is not chargeable. Just an instant shot.

Also it looks like Joe has no Level 3, which makes me sad. Viewtiful Forever was a great super.

Yeah I was really hoping for the same level 3 from TvC

Well ill take the slow super over viewtiful joe forever, it actually utilizes his time control abilities(something that i found its exclusion from tvc very annoying) and only costs one bar, plus, outside of seeing joe with is visor on i never really like it to begin with. And I am very disappointing they took out the ability to charge the shot, makes it seem pretty useless wouldn’t you say?

I was hoping they would show his dive kick but w/e he still looks like a beast up close.

Yep, I watched that video. Slow is probably the best effect Super in the game. Ridiculously easy to land, makes overheads unblockable (hence the chained overhead nerf on Joe) slows assists down hardcore… Can you imagine snapping back a character that you slowed down? Sure the setup takes two bars, but you’ve effectively killed an assist. Jesus krispy kreme on a pogo skateboard.

And I wish Joe had FOUR SUPERS, yeah you heard me, put Viewtiful Forever in there so I can style a bit.

And I agree with you about charging the shot. But what’s done is done I guess. But they’ve done so much more for Joe than a lot of people realize I think. Having safe multiple dive kicks made him one of the best characters in TvC:CGoH. I’ll even forgive the devs for not using this theme:

lol, that has to be one of the funniest lines ive read in a while, didn’t even think about snapping back a slowed down character, that would be intense. And what did they nerf about his overhead? Because it looks vicious dude, talk about an invisible overhead.

In TvC you could “chain” the overhead as part of your magic series. So you could go jab -> overhead right away. MvC3 has removed that chain, so you have to throw it out raw.

A real bad nerf would be that the overhead is no longer special cancelable.

Yea that would have been rather unfortunate, btw is joes dive kick an overhead? Plus can he TK it? Oh and if you get a point and an assist in one combo can you slow both at once? Just wondering.

Slow is single target. Mist is everything on screen.

So what would happen, if you slowed then mist a character? Super slow?

iirc they do stack…so yeah. iirc.

I don’t think slow moves stack. If fast moves can’t, then neither can slow moves.
