Looks like the SHAPE TOOL, use of the TRANSFORM TOOL and then some effects added to it after.
I don’t have the shop at the moment, but here’s a brief explanation that I’m thinkin’ would work.
*Made in MSPaint.
I made custom brushes for the ppl of SRK , should I make them transparent and just make them png, for them to have no bg(like a solid color in background, I need the checkerboard bg) right?
Yes.
so, i was trying to shorten / edit ryu’s hurricane kick animation (sprite was from zweifuss) in imageready:
but, when i saved the gif, the second frame comes out messed up. the “ryu in the back” is actually the first frame of the animation. the other frames are fine.
i have no idea how to fix this, and i’ve tried several times already. i’m using CS2.
anybody know what the problem is?
Quick Tip That Comes To Mind
-Delete the frames that aren’t being used in the LAYERS menu.
If that doesn’t work, I’m plannin’ on hookin’ up my old comp for some avatar work. I can take a look at it then if it isn’t solved yet.
:u: didn’t work.
i’ve even tried opening up the messed up gif and replacing the messed up frame with a new/clean one.
this is the first time i’ve seen this happen.
Inside the red circle there’s an option that says something among the lines of PROPAGATE 1ST FRAME CHANGES or some shit. Try turning that OFF.
:wtf: i don’t see that option anywhere.
when i click the little arrow thing, i see these options:
[LIST]
[]Output Options (non-clickable)
[]Background Image
[]Default Settings
[]XHTML
[]Other…
[]File Info…
[/LIST]
Shit, my bad. Inside the ANIMATION window, click that arrow button that looks like the one in the red circle. It should have that option there.
I’m off today…
Gimme a moment buddy. I’m gonna hook up The Dinosaur.
Slam Edit: Try unchecking that item that’s…er…checked.
:u: nothing.
i just tried deleting that frame, but it still saves with the first frame onto the new “second” frame.
maybe i’ll just start over from scratch or something.
Zoom in a little bit, Evertime colour changes you start the image from original Size zooming in again, If that made anysense, Look at the tip of its legs if you don’t understand.
I’m sorry If I didn’t help, I’m a beginner of this stuff…
So I have CS3 but of course it has no imageready. So I installed Photoshop CS2 to get imageready back, is there anyway to uninstall CS2 yet keep imageready?
Paging Vegett0. Repeat, Vegett0, your assistance is needed on this matter.
Nope. ImageReady doesn’t even have its own programs folder.
@ Sas.
anyone know of a beginner border tutorial? fancy or simple.
Sure!
Create a new layer above your working image [I do this because if you put the border on your image layer and you want to change it, you’re kinda screwed cuz you can’t just mod it, you have to mod the image AND the border…just take my word on this and put it on a separate layer].
Press CTRL+A to select all on the new layer.
Go to EDIT :r: STROKE, then choose a stroke width [1 or 2 pixels is fine].
Choose your color.
Press OK. You should now have a border.
ADVANCED STUFF
Stuff I figured out while I was messin’ around with the Shop.
-You can get a dual color border if you apply an FX to the border layer. Use the STROKE option in the FX menu [the FX icon is located at the bottom of the LAYER window], choose a color and a width setting. You now have an inside color to your border, giving it that two tone look.
-By using the RECTANGULAR MARQUEE tool on your border layer [after you’ve drawn it], you can add a custom look to them. Make sure you’re current foreground color is the same as your border color, draw a rectangular box [using the marquee tool] somewhere on it, fill it in using the ctrl+backspace command [I think? Or ctrl+enter. It’s been awhile]. You’ll now have a box added to your border. You can even cut away at. Also, if you’ve used the trick above [two tone border], the FX Stroke will form around the newly drawn box. It’s a pretty cool trick. You can slap a name or something in them.
That’s all that comes to mind.
