Don’t buy it anymore.
When you open of the fridge and you have nothing in there to drink, if you’re REALLY that thirsty you’ll get water.
At least this is what I’m planning to do. I finished my last bottle and I’m not buying any more.

I traded my soda addiction for a cocaine addiction.
What ckrazy said: just don’t buy it. You can’t drink it if you don’t have it.
Also, don’t buy bottled water. Shit is a total waste of money and plastic. If your tap water is that nasty, get a snap-on filter for your faucet. Once you’ve cut bottled water out of your budget, the filter will pay for itself pretty much instantly.
“bad” chemicals lolz. As if there is no such thing?
Yeah Chemicals that potentially cause Bladder Cancer, Destroy your Enamel, and are completely harmful on your insides mid-term to long-term aren’t that bad.
You either just don’t comprehend simple words, or a complete idiot.
Chicago back-drop might explain it.
Start eating more fruit and drinking water. Appreciate the natural flavor
see, now you’re using your brain. somewhat. simply saying it’s bad, or stating what’s obviously in it (artificial sweeteners) is bad only makes you look like an idiot. especially after I asked to go into actual detail.
I figured someone smart would’ve understood from the beginning. oh well. even then, from the posts about the diet sodas, a lot of it seems like “possible” bad things.
I’ll wait for much more concrete evidence (and wait for it from someone much smarter) until I agree that diet is super worse compared to reg.
You damn ape. Are you really this stupid highronman?
Yall are so full of shit. Do you realize that if youre North American and you eat corn products, you are eating the grain of genetically modified seed? Ketchup, Cookies, Candy, Chips, Cereal, fuckin baby powders…it all comes from corn, our corn is genetically modified. The reason African countries and 3rd world communities refuse to accept food from the UN and remain in poverty.
Frozen food is full of chemicals. Anything that comes in a bag or a can or a jar is sitting in a vat of chemicals that keep it from spoiling for an unnaturally long amount of time and discoloring.
You like tomatoes? Red tomatoes arent really ripe anymore, they are exposed to ethylene gas before shipment that makes them turn bright red, but they are still unripened. As a matter of fact I believe most of the worlds tomatoes are spliced with the gene of some type of fish to create what we now see as the “perfect” tomato. We dont even know what the long term effect of this shit is because this stuff just came about the last 40 years or so.
Coincidentally cancer among humans has skyrocketed within the past 100 years.
If people want to be so holy and anti-soda but in turn eat everything else on the planet thats just as bad for you in large amounts, you make yourself into the worst kind of hypocrite. The ignorant one. None of you live on a farm and only eat foods from freshmarkets, nor do any of you know where your meat come from, or the fat that your “all natural” cattle, sheep, goat, lamb, poultry and fish (even the fucking fish) eat the same genetically modified corn I just mentioned. Fish arent supposed to eat fuckin corn.
I’m calling bullshit on every “healthy eater” in this thread who doesnt drink soda because its “not good for you.” Just say you dont drink soda cuz you dont like the taste or something.
Don’t listen to these fools
The government just wants you to drink water so they can track you more easily
There’s something wrong with you if you’re so hooked on soda that you can’t stand the taste of water. Your body isn’t composed of 50+% Rockstar. Mountain Dew doesn’t flow out of your kitchen faucet for free.
And forget water-- if you’re that dependent on ultra-sweet drinks, any kind of food probably tastes awful to you unless you can super-size it. You’d feel less out-of-place in an alien spaceship than at a suit-and-tie dinner. I like soda-- but morning, noon and night? That’s a trashy habit.
I don’t drink soda for health reasons. My family is prone to kidney stones and things like coca-cola have a direct correlation with the kidney stones. I try not to eat as many salty foods or put salt on things for the same reason. I still eat whatever junk food I want tho.
And for some people, not drinking soda and eating just a little more healthier makes a huge difference.
Anyways, up until about a year ago, i was a huge soda drinker. I’m repeating what other people are saying but here’s what I did:
lol @ mno!
^but yes, it’s understandable for some people as not all tap waters are created equal
LOL your high-horse bashing is not necessary. Realize that its HUMAN fucking NATURE to want to drink something flavorful and satisfying. Something psychologically ingrained in all of us.
Especially after a longass day of work. A person want to REWARD themselves at the end of it all by kicking back with a cold soda, beer, crystal light, etc. Something with FLAVOR.
Not lame ol’flat water. Water is only enjoyable to the point the real thirst exists. Otherwise when one wants a drink for the satisfaction its going to be something else.
water is very satisfying and has a certain good flavor to it. I would say you are in the minority with your drinking habits, TG. your taste buds just seem to be a bit outta wack for what’s satisfying. not that it makes you a bad person or anything lol
Minority? Last i checked the vast majority are known to indulge in flavored drinks on a regular basis.
They may not have quite the soda addiction that i did, but they still indulge a good bit.
That argument is ridiculous simply for the fact that damn near EVERYTHING, tampered with or otherwise, could be shown to possibly give one cancer or other health problems if investigated deep enough. Including drinking water.
What do you expect us to do? Eats like monks, farm our own land, grow stuff naturally, collect rainwater, etc lol.
So yeah i’m am being a hell of a lot healthier by kicking the habit on consumption of things like sugared sodas and candy, even though i still consume a lot of the other things that one could argue are not.
^lol vast majority? either way, that’s exactly what I and taito mean, you’re in the minority of having corrupted your taste buds so much you can’t find enjoyment in water.
also, I doubt even living the life of a monk would save us from a cancerous fate. I personally wouldn’t trust our rainwater lol. but I guess if you go monk outside and far from the city then it wouldn’t be so bad?
I could just as easily say your taste buds are, “outta wack” for you claiming water to be, “very satisfying” and has a certain, “good flavor” to it. Water is about as bland as a fortune cookie, honestly. I like it every once in a while, but all the time? No thanks.
I definitely prefer soda though and I have preferred it for as long as I can remember. I’m not one of these really hyper guys because of it or anything, but soda just tastes better to me. I like drinking something with orange in it or whatever Mountain Dew has in it (especially those Distortion or White Out flavors now :P) over just, you know…clear, plain, old water, lol. This is also why I prefer potato CHIPS over eating a plain old POTATO.
While I agree with what you’re saying, you can’t refute the fact that soda is not good for you. Simply put, it doesn’t provide the vitamins and minerals that your body needs, while adding in calories and sugars etc. Maybe it’s no “worse for you” than some of the other genetically modified things that we eat, but on the opposite end of the spectrum, it’s still doesn’t provide as much benefit as some of those things either.
The primary factor that I credit my weight loss to is switching sodas to water, with the occasional Crystal Light mix when I want some flavor. I don’t care about getting chemicals in my body, because I drink tap water and eat livestock. I’m not a closed-minded idiot that likes to pretend that because something is labelled “Organic”, that it’s chemical-free. But at the same time, I’ve cut sodas out of my life, and am a healthier human being because of it.
Having not changed my diet very much at all, just began more MMA training and dropping sodas, I have gone from 280 pounds to 210 pounds. It’s impossible to refute that sodas do not have any beneficial nutritional value, and have a negative impact on our health.
That’s what I’m saying, kind of in response to YYB-- I don’t give a shit about water’s health benefits. I drink water because it’s enjoyable and actually tastes good. And I like how different coffee and teas taste even when I don’t add sugar to it. If you can’t appreciate food in general without a ton of salt/sugar in it, that’s too bad.
It’s also too bad that so many are opposed to something that’s free and you literally can’t live without.
No ones opposing that its free or we can’t live without it, just that a lot of us would MUCH rather drink it when there is something added for flavor.
Enjoying my Crystal light pink lemonade lately btw.
Wait a sec… whats the difference between Lemonade and PINK Lemonade anyway?!
