Thank you for that answer. I am going to be placing an order at some point. Not in any kind of hurry so I don’t care how long it takes for me to get the quality that these sticks are.
We do charge credit cards within a few days. Since what we do involves a lot of custom artwork, we have to cover ourself incase someone bails and we are stuck with artwork that says something like “Jim Bob’s Arcade Stick”. However, be at peace with the fact that we cancel all orders in a timely manner if requested. We don’t ask why, we just do it.
Artwork, copyright, blah blah. The biggest issue is with competing companies. Capcom didn’t have an issue with what we did until they decided to make a stick. Same goes for other companies that have finacial interest in a stick. (Namco, Sega, Tecmo) etc.
Any artwork besides that is usually OK, though we stay clear of SNK too. Movie stuff, actors, actresses, whatever. I’m not using these images on the website to promote my product and try to get people to buy it. It’s for your personal use. Sorry if this wasn’t made clear before.
Working on the updated order queue now. We will have at least 20 sticks ready to go out early in the week, possibly more. 5 are already wired an ready for shipping, the remaining will be wired Monday and Tuesday and shipped.
A good sign that shows people that the AIAB is not greedy to allow such a thing.
Though the FAQ is on the front page of the site, there is no link to the FAQ if people go to the store site directly (http://www.aiabstore.com), the web guy has a lot of work cut out to do.
Yeah he does :). It’s all functioning at least, that is all I could ask for right now. One less thing for me to worry about. Initially we were going to move the store back to arcadeinabox.com at the same time the new site went up, but I had fears of doing that just as SFIV launched. I am so glad I didn’t haha.
One more quick thing to mention that I don’t think I have mentioned before. Of course with so many sticks going out now, and so many different hands in the building process. We are seeing some problems popping up. We take care of all the customers that have an issue and typically their stick will ship out fixed the day after we receive it. Repairs do take a top priority. We also encourage help over the phone. We have fixed a number of problems over the phone with the customer. No worries of warranty getting voided or anything like that, just contact us first.
You may want to change the date to 3/1/2009, instead of 2/1/2009 it is now, so that people who ordered don’t freak out.
Edit - apologies if this is posted before in this huge thread, but for the SlimArcade PS3 version, in what configuration (right/left sides) are the Start, Select and Playstation buttons?
The order queue looks updated, with an incorrect date of 02/01, it should be 03/01. Looks like the production is moving faster than usual.
In regards to the repairs, saw this post on the community forum, it gives people a scary thought or a bad impression. Perhaps that person should have contacted by phone rather than posting, the person would not have known what to do without it being on the FAQ.
The web guy should get around to post information about the repairs should be on the FAQ, as well as all the questions you answer on this forum since not everyone sees it here. Lots of questions answered = lots of work for the web guy = less calls/email for the staff.
Ed since you guys are probably working on mine soon, 1493, could you tell me which trim i should get, black, chrome, or even white or something? I ordered chrome, but I can’t see exactly how the artwork is so I would appreciate your opinion on it.
