Hello, from Arcade-In-A-Box (10% Off Coupon SRK10)

if that is the best layout for hd remix and sf4 then can i please go with that.
tell me about the emails, just spent 45 minutes going through them to see if i mentioned it.
at least the order is near completion, these 2 months have flown by.
so glad i decided to order from you rather than wait for news of the official sticks in the u.k.
thanks for your help.

The chrome trim and your customization looks sweet. Thanks for sharing the pictures Jiu Hook.

I was wondering how the bottoms look like on those AIAB sticks.

don’t they just let you map the buttons? how can one layout be better than another.

Yeah it looks sweet. I’m vacillating between chrome and white now.

i dont want to have to change the buttons via the menu everytime i take the stick to a friends house, so if i can keep it as close to the default as possible then it just makes things easier.

Flawless Victory. Bad ass stick, ftw!:lovin::lovin::lovin:

These 2 sticks might be my two favorite AIAB sticks I’ve seen (aside from my MK stick:wgrin:)

I’d give my left nut for this first stick, but True Arcade & Dual System. Wow.

One thing I am going to try and do a better of is taking pictures of all the sticks I make. There has been a lot of really cool looking ones.

I need to post a picture of my RedSox stick. It’s for personal use made by me so it’s ok :).

Seriously Ed, I almost feel guilty posting those photos, because the stick really does look worlds better than the photos make it out to look. That RedSox stick is pretty rad, I love the red battop. If you were feeling extra nerdy, I’d say find a baseball bat colored battop.

My stick especially is going to be awesome. Ed, do you think I should do chrome or white trim?

Ed,

I’m looking to order a stick at the end of the week. Bobsmack told me to look you up. What’s your current wait time on sticks?

It says on his site 4-6 weeks. sorry.

Ed I can’t find the weight for the slim and true arcade listed anywhere. What are the figures for that? It would be useful info posted on the site.

Good suggestion for the new website, there is at least a description that states “Light weight and perfect for lap players” so I would imagine it will not be heavy. It better not be the same weight of the PS3 console

i actually hope the slim is pretty heavy or at least stable enough for violent table action. Because that’s where I want to play it.

I know, the truearcade is heavier and maybe I should have ordered that, but the slim just looks so much sexier.

I know what you mean, not going to be good if it slides and moves around around the table.

I prefer the home/back/guide/start buttons to be on top, but I know there will not be enough room to place them there on the slim. I had to order a true arcade to get the perfect 360 stick. Yet there is another incentive to go with the True Arcade: stability.

For any of you that are considering ordering a stick from Arcade-In-A-Box, this has been my experience so far:

I ordered my stick on December 4th. Tomorrow will be six weeks. I have tried contacting them by e-mail and phone twice; once on January 5th and once on January 13th. I have yet to get a response.

I am not trying to get on their case because I understand they are swamped with orders right now, but I paid them a lot of money a month and a half ago and I still have nothing to show for it, AND I can’t get ahold of them (I wanted to find out how far along they are in the build of mine to see if I could still upgrade).

I was caught up on all the my emails 2 days ago, so you should have got at least one reply.
It may have been blocked. As for phone calls, I am sorry. If you call when I hear the phone ring I answer it, I have not been so good at returning calls.

I know I am behind and trying to work through this. I am trying to make as much information available on the web as possible to keep the phone calls and emails down. On any given day I get 15 or so phone calls and 50+ emails. Many of those calls are people asking for status on their stick. Problem is, that adds up and takes hours out of my day of building sticks.

I am just now tackling orders from Dec 1st. Let me know what you want to upgrade and I can tell you if it will delay it further.

Ed

Look for an update of the order queue tonight. I have about 12-13 sticks going out tomorrow.

The the catch up should start to come into effect over the next week or two. What happened is between Nov 27 and Dec 1 I was averaging 8-12 orders a day. This was about 4 times what I was used too. So over a span of 5-6 days I had the same amount of orders I would typically get in an entire month. That bottle neck is just about done.

Again all, I am so sorry for this crap. I know it’s poor business and I will be much more prepared in the future. The timing of the move really isn’t helping speed up the process, but it is very muh needed. I don’t want to turn into the company that takes 2 months to get a product out(even though that’s me right now). I want to turn it around and not be content with taking that long. 2-4 weeks will always be the goal once the ship is righted.

I was aware that release of SSF2HD remix and the upcoming SF4 would spike the demands for arcade sticks and knowing that the business is relocating, it is the biggest growing pain, it does not happen in just a few hours.

Even with the warning that it would take 4-6 weeks, I still placed an order earlier this month (though I wanted to place it earlier - but I had to pay off credit card debt from the holidays). I know everyone has their own preferences, but I am mainly concerned about the end result. I put up with more than a year delay on games like Half-Life 2, Warcraft III, and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time; in the end those games were masterpieces and well worth all that wait.

As a consumer looking for a stick I did my research on AIAB: I saw much praise from people that received their stick, a great review from IGN, I like the craftsmanship of the stick from the pictures I saw, and Ed is a person who takes accountability for any shortcomings with good customer support and always strives to make the product better (taking advice from stick builders and spends time with customization). For those reasons, I am confident that going with AIAB was the best choice for me.

Off-topic, I was wondering most of the stick builders at the Trading Post usually close off requests for a period of time if their queue is full, I suppose they do this so that they can meet the 2-4 week wait time so customers do not get disappointed?
