Hello, from Arcade-In-A-Box (10% Off Coupon SRK10)

god damn 0_o

there is over 30k on that list o_0

30K. LOL, too bad that isn’t profit huh?

Rent, Employees, Parts, Utilies, Small Business Loan, Etc… It’s not as wonderful as it may seem

Still, one hell of a fun job. Someday I might actually pay myself. I did actually build myself a stick a few weeks ago.

I actually hack Madcatz pads for ps2 as well because they are easier to come by. I have tested them with the Joybox to Xbox, EMS to DC, Pelican to PS3 and a cheap no name to USB PC adapters and it’s worked fine on all of those.

Ed, just wanted to say you’re doing an awesome job. I love your sticks. I’ve been meaning to order one… I’ll have to wait until I have some vacation time!

Keep up the great work.

Wow, there are more than 120 people ahead of me, does not look like I will have my stick before SF IV arrives. I suppose I have time to think about adding artwork customization before my order is processed. Reading from the earlier posts in this thread, I know Capcom characters are barred from using due to copyright infringement, anyone know if it is OK to use logos from sports teams?

That site seems to have logos from every team and allow people to download them, so I suppose there is no restriction?

Thanks Ed for updating your site. Relocating a business is always a pain since I have been through it a couple of times before, but hopefully the process goes well.

Not according to their FAQ and common sense. I have a hunch NFL teams might just copyright their logo, call it a hunch.

I looked at the site’s FAQ and saw my answer, I do not think I will get permission from either the Los Angeles Lakers or Angels without paying royalties. Thanks for the quick reply and heads up.

I will just settle for something simple, more bold typeface button labeling (X, O, L1, L2, etc.)

I will resize my art according to the dimensions of the layout you sent. I won’t have the holes on it of course but I’m assuming you don’t need that, just an image sized to those dimensions. The holes are just there for me see where they lie in relation to the art.

I’m confident that your business should spike with sf4. I think the game will be more popular than projected. I believe there are a legion of fans of sf2 from the arcade days who lost touch with gaming. SF4 will bring many of them back, and the good thing is they are both familiar with american style sticks and have the disposable income to pay for aiab.

I was just about to order a stick from you… but before I have a couple of question. First of all, I didn’t see any place where I can write about the color of the buttons, sticks and contour of the box ?? Is it only when you by the custom 1 that you have these option ? I taught that custum met having a design(pcture) on it ? thank for update.

Ed will email you after you place the order and you can fill in the details. You need to select the “custom” stick.

The non custom sticks mean you get the default black overlay with your choice of color theme. Red, Black or White. This allows me to buy those colors in large bulk.

The custom stick will allow you to choose every button color, t-molding colo, and joystick color.

Hopefully that makes sense. Once the new website is done the custom form will be online as well. The new arcadeinabox.com will not only be an information site for my products, but also a community server to create groups, communicate and plan events from. That’s the plan anyway.

I don’t think its been mentioned yet but, the order que is a nice addition to the website I highly recommend anyone that’s ordered to check it out clicky. Second on the list… getting hyped.

Actually they are pretty dead on accurate. The illustrator files are taken directly from the DXF cad files. Now of course there is a little bit of slop, but the fact that the buttons all have a lip on them will cover up the white 99.9 percent of the time :).

Thanks bud.

woohooo top of the list.
excellent addition to the site.
excellent communication throughout the order.first class service and very helpful so far.two thumbs up.
just a couple of more weeks to wait and then 3 weeks to practice before sf4 launches. (crosses fingers and hopes).
can i just confirm you got my request for the button layout to be as follows???
X-Y-RB
A-B-LB
i sent it as a seperate email but didnt include it in the order notes.

Make sure you all post pics of your stick when you get it.

will do.
finalised the artwork yesterday so just gotta wait for that to be ordered.
extremly happy with the layout and all the questions answered by ed.
pics he sent over are first rate, just hope that it looks just as good in the flesh and even better when the buttons are added to compliment the artwork.being as i could not use anything sf4 i just went for something simple and pleasing to look at.
i keep looking at the layout and thinking wow!!!

I got my stick this weekend from Ed. It’s amazing. It’s the best stick I’ve ever played on. It works great on both the PS3 and the 360. The surface area, the weight, everything is top notch. I’m a lap player and I couldn’t be more satisfied. It’s the slim Arcade custom with the octogate JLF stick, seimitsu buttons, and custom artwork. The picture doesn’t do it justice, it looks amazing.

oh man that’s sweet, that looks like chrome trim. can you post a pic of the trim?

Johnny,
I didn’t remember that, probably because of how many emails we had back and forth.

Are you sure about the layout? The default HD REmix is LB on top and RB on bottom. Just want to make sure :).

Ed

It is chrome trim. My cell phone camera sucks.

My coffee table is cluttered, sorry.
