Hello, from Arcade-In-A-Box (10% Off Coupon SRK10)

I share the same sentiments as you. It feels almost priceless to be able to relive the 15 years ago with the SSF2HDR and real arcade sticks available; I was too young back then to enjoy SF2 when it was all the craze.

I cannot say enough how grateful I am that Ed and Sirlin/S-Kill made it possible to bring those memories back.

Yeah I would like to know as well.

Is this the right template for the curved-closed and size? blast city template or is this the wrong one…

If you choose custom option, Ed will email you a giant JPG as a template for the layout that you chose. And a link to a form where you can fill out what colors you want for the sticks, buttons, trim color…

I know. As much as some people love this game and as seriously as they might take it, if they weren’t part of that arcade culture back in the day, they can’t relate. Feeling those real arcade parts and playing hd remix is like childhood wrapped up in a box. 200 dollars is a good chunk of change but that’s why I can look at it and say that’s nothing considering what it does for me.

Hit me up for a game sometime if you don’t mind playing a really annoying chun li player.

btw, I’m not really a chun li player, she’s just the only one I can play on a pad. Big reason I’m getting this stick.

Yeah, I figured shipping would be lots, but if it’s over $50, which is what my Hori cost to be shipped from Virginia via UPS, I don’t think I’mma get the stick. It would be nice if Ed could answer this, as he should know.

I really want one of those sticks, but I don’t want to pay like $70 in shipping costs. That’s just too much.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I haven’t been playing with an arcade stick seriously since when I played Street Fighter II in the early 90s at the bowling alley.

Thanks again. Hopefully I’ll get that awesome feeling back then when I was little even though I didn’t play that well.

I was the a hole invisible throwing you in that bowling alley.

Hi ed just to let you know that Ive send you a couple of emails to info@aiabstore.com but im still waiting for a reply

is this email address good or youre just too busy?

Thanks

Having emailed with Ed last month after I ordered, I have a feeling he is a bit busy. Be patiant and you’ll hear from him.

A couple months back, Ed sent me one of his stock artworks, which is a 4500x3000 .jpg, which is 4.5"x3" at 1000dpi. Ask Ed for a template with the holes for your layout, and he should be able to hook you up. Just be sure to tell him if you want a True Arcade or a Slim Arcade, since the Slim Arcade’s Select/Start/Home buttons are mounted on the side of the case.

so do these sticks work alright with a ps2>dreamcast converter?

Okay cool. So it be the right size of the actual controller for the artwork?

Should I draw over the holes or just draw around it?

Spending more than 200+ on anything these days requires due diligence, but everyone knows the quality product they are getting from AIAB and it also goes farther to get the arcade experience at home. I spent 281 on the stick, so I am planning to ditch my cable TV service for 6 months. Other than SSF2HDr and SF IV, I plan on using the stick for GameTap.

I added you on my friends list, I will play you some rounds when I see you on though I am playing with a pad as well. I rarely can beat players who abuse chun-li’s kicks or e-honda’s slaps

It should work since I heard from everywhere there are lagfree converters from PS2 to anything but 360.

Ive seen some sticks where the image is on the buttons. If you want that, I seen in an earlier post to order the Semitsu buttons upgrade in the clear form so the image overlaps the buttons.

I think you misunderstood my question. Sorry about that. What I mean is I got the template from Ed. Where there are white circles indicating where the joystick and buttons are going to be.

So I’m asking should I draw the artwork with the White circles or should I just draw the picture without them.

The reason why I wanted to know if the template was the exact size (which I think it is.)

Is if I draw the artwork with the white circles and it isn’t the exact size of the controller I don’t want my artwork to be cut off or see some white circle edges on the controller.

Do you get what I mean? I’m sorry I think I’m really bad at wording things.

I think what you should do is just draw the picture like it was just a solid image. Mainly because if he does the cut for the button/joystick holes, it won’t have to be 100% perfectly lined up. If you leave the holes white on the artwork, you’re going to see some white when it’s not cut 100% perfectly.

Keep in mind where the buttons and stick will be when you do the artwork, but just draw it like it was a solid image. That’s what I would do.

It’s the exact image I will send to get printed. If you have artwork that you want to come through the buttons (if you are using seimitsu clear buttons) then yes, make sure you go over the white circles. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter.

I need to update the templates, but for now those holes show the actual size of the hole made in the wood, so buttons do have a lip, so don’t put any labels or text too close to the circles or it could get cut off.

I added all of the templates to the artwork page on the site.
I also added a order queue list on the website so you can check it and see just where you order is.

I know I am way behind, and I hope to get about 20 sticks out this week as I also prepare to move. My goal is to be all moved and up and running by 1 week from tomorow (Monday).

You can see the list here. http://www.arcadeinabox.com/orders.html

I was asking mainly because I know the SFAC, though PS2, doesn’t work with converters.

I suppose this will work, but I just wanted to know for sure, but it seems no one has mentioned any sort of problem, so it should be alright

Holy CRAP, Ed! That list is insane! Huge grats on how well you are doing.

AFAIK, Ed used hacked offical Playstation controllers, so you can expect them to work with converters just fine.

Jesus Christ Ed, that’s one hell of a list. Congratulations on the success of your business.

thank you toodles, helpful as always
