awesome news ed. Looks more and more like I made the right decision to go with you. IL eurostick option + clear button option. Those were the only two extras I wanted, but I didn’t know if you offered. Only thing left now is for you to email me some image layouts with those pics I sent you, see how well they work for a stick.
Ed is the man. Best customer service you could ever ask for.
Amen. I agree 100%.
indeed he does. he has been so patience and helpful with my custom art. thanks Ed
thx for the quick response - i think ill send the stick back to get the bumps fixed, but is it ok if we do it sometime in february when my sf 4 stick arrives? i dont wanna be without a stick…
how exactly should we go about doing this?
Shoot me an email and we can set it up. Next time I order artwork I will get yours reprinted and just build a new stick. When it’s about ready I will let you know and just wait on getting the other one back and then ship the new one.
I just had a concern about the button placement on the X360/PS3 True Arcade System.
The description states
- X360 Mode - D-Pad, A, B, X, Y, RB, LB, Start, Back, and Guide buttons are included on the side of the box.
- PS3 Mode - D-Pad, Triangle, Square, X, O, R1, R2, Start, Select, and Home buttons are included on the side of the box.
However, the picture on the website does not seem to protray this description accurately.
Which is correct?
I also wish I could enlarge the button layout on that page, I was wondering if the dual system will have “A / Triangle Shape” “B / Square Shape” printed next to the buttons.
However, the main reason I chose the True Arcade System was to get the Perfect 360 stick since it seems to require more height than the other sticks according to the pictures.
Hey Ed, have you got any sticks laying around that you havent put up for sale on the site? (like the one that Mmm Bison will be sending back?)
also, can I upgrade my 360 MK stick into a dual system stick? just curious. For $70, thats a deal:wgrin:
- You can customize the button layout the way you want it. You just have to tell Ed in the notes sections. For example, I customized my Xbox 360 to replicate the controller layout.
X - Y - RB
A - B - LB
I ordered the non-Custom dual system stick so I am probably not entitled to request button placements; I did not want to give Ed more hassles when he got many orders to fulfill.
I was only wondering two things, should have been more specific about my first concern.
(1) Where the PSN/Start/Select + Guide/Back/Start buttons are placed. On top <shown in the picture> or on the sides <shown in the description of the True Arcade Hybrid>. I think I found my answer to this one when looked at the X360 and PS3 solo True Arcade stick. The button placements are on top (I find this more convenient than the side placement) so I just think Ed needs to update the web site at a later convenient time.
(2) Since I got the hybrid stick and with the stock layout, I was not able to enlarge a image that has either the “A/B/X/Y” or “O/X/Triangle/Square” printed next to the hole. It would be good to have a larger screenshot available on the web page of the stock frame of the hybrid True Arcade model.
Same with mine:
----X----Y
------RB
----A----B
LB
:wgrin:
I put my order in tonight. ps3 slim custom. IL eurostick, seimitsu buttons. Ended up being 203 bucks.
No regrets. Usually a decent sized purchase like that creates some sense of remorse but none here.
I have a feeling it’s going to be freaking beautiful too. I gave him a nice piece of art for it.
You could also think of it this way, that you will get your money’s worth after 203 - 263 rounds of Street Fighter IV since arcades charge a dollar per play.
Yeah it’s a childhood dream to be able to play arcade quality stuff in my own home. With the power of the ps3 and custom sticks like this that has become a reality.
I could not have pictured it back in the day.
I’m thinking of buying one of these but I’m in need of some custom art.
I have a few questions:
*****what file should the art be saved under. .jpg? pdf?
***** Can anyone point me to the direction where I can download or find curved-close Japanese Dimensions Layout for arcadeinabox?(Can’t seem to find a big view version on the site and getting some 404 on there.)
*
I’m looking for one because the person I’m going to commission the art for can work around the buttons and Joystick positions.
*
I did try to search for templates but I wasn’t sure if it was the same because it had different names to it.
I hope you can forgive me for my ignorance.
I gave him a jpg. Seemed to be fine.
Any size for the artwork work? I am going to order a stick soon…assuming your still backed up a bit.
Iam waiting for the stick I ordered in december, just be lucky you dont live in Canada as mine cost me $280 without artwork. I still wont regret it. I will also be making one myself , I jsut wanted one that worked for sure before I try to make my own!
I live in Canada, and I was thinking of ordering from Ed. I know shipping is usually a price gouge for Canadians, but I was hoping that it would be the $16 that the site shows. Which stick did you order? And what options? How many weeks you been waiting? If you ordered at the beginning of Dec, it actually makes sense, cuz the website says possibly 2-4 weeks before it ships. At the very latest, it might have shipped the end of Dec, so it should arrive any day now.
I paid $19 for shipping and I am in California which is a neighboring state from Arizona, so it has to be more than $16 to get it to Canada. I ordered the True Arcade Stick for X360/PS3.
