I’ve also tried the ChillStream some wacky logitech controller with a fan in it that blows on your hands. I don’t remember the issue, I will have to find it and look again. I think it was no common ground either. Might have to revisit it.
Ant,
I don’t have access to a mac so I can’t say for sure. If there are drivers for Wired Xbox controllers for a mac, then it should work with those same drivers.
I’m looking for some good vinyl for a stick project I’ve been working on. I’ve bought some off EBay but needless to say it wasn’t very good. Where do you get yours from? I don’t need much, maybe I can buy some from you? :karate:
The stuff I get is from a place called MetroDecals. They are on ebay as well, I wonder if it’s the same company. I haven’t had a problem with their stuff.
It works great applied directly to MDF. You just really need to make sure it’s dust free.
Also, I don’t use it on the tops of the boxes where the controls are. The stuff looks great, but can get dinged up pretty easily, which is why I only use on the box itself. I don’t think it would last very well on the top where it gets a lot of use
Thanks for the link. Yeah I’m only using it for the box sides. It’s a MAS mini though meaning all the sides are already put together, I think thats maybe why I had so much trouble getting it on nicely. I don’t want to go through the trouble and taking the box apart. I’ll buy some and try it out.
Edit: I also tried a wire-less bluetooth headset for the 360, and it doesnt work with my stick. Do you know why? And which head set exactly works with it? (pic?)
Dang, I just noticed this. I put a diagram for one of these pads on my website yesterday. I saw this, tried it out, and sure enough the left direction went dead in 3 seconds each time. So I took it off my site. Sheesh, Mad Catz should have done a recall or some advisement on this (I dunno if they did or not); they should have caught this when making the product to begin with too. I hope you didn’t buy a bunch of these Ed.
Luckily I only bought 4 of them. I can always sell them on ebay if I need to get rid of them. It is pretty lame though. I wonder if Toodles has any idea of a possible fix.
I don’t believe that Playstation accessories have ever been region locked. I know that a lot of users imported Dual Shock 3 controllers from PlayAsia before they were available here.
The only controller that I know of that was region locked was the Sega brand lightgun for the Dreamcast. Even then, the controller itself wasn’t region locked, the US version of House of the Dead 2 simply locked it out. If you imported the Japanese version of the game, you could use the Japanese lightgun.
