Hello, from Arcade-In-A-Box (10% Off Coupon SRK10)

Hello Ed.

Well all the good posts in this thread has convinced me to buy one of your sticks. I sent you a email in regards to some artwork I wanted on it. But after reading more of this thread I see that the image I sent you might be a problem so If it’s not possible I’ll just use the artwork you’ve gotten artist to make. Expect to see an order from me sometime in the next 2 weeks.

Chris.

Have you seen this Ed?

good call, have you ED?

Love the new Av, Etotheng.

I highly doubt that was Ed that posted that thread. My guess is just an overly happy customer. After many many emails to and from Ed, I just don’t see that sort of behavior coming from him. Heck, he has even scolded some users here for positive comments about AIAB, that have come some a slanted angle (Ex. “your stick sucks, you should get an AIAB”).

Ed is always straight up with the community with updates, cancellations and any other news that involved his business. This just doesn’t fit the bill for his personality.

Woah!
No, I had not seen that. I promise that’s not me. I’ve been kind of vacant around here for a few weeks trying to get caught up. Though I did notice a steady flow of traffice from SRK, and I couldn’t find out where it was coming from. I guess I know now.

Thanks for pointing that out guys, I really have no idea who the poster is. I wish the thread wasn’t locked so I could jump in there and say something.

Imitrex is right. I try to stay away from cheap advertising tactics such as that. I use this thread to help promote my products and it’s all I really need. I stay busy enough :). I’ve also contact SRK in the past about doing some paid advertising, but nothing came of that so I just stick to this thread.

I wonder if LaunchPad is some kind of bot that posts information from news releases or blogs or something. I don’t think my marketing guy put out any kind of press release recently, but I’ll check with him. Especially since that blog post is at least 3-4 months old.

Thanks man, Muffin made it for me. and yeah i think the same thing, just another happy customer, but, Daamn he is waaay to happy.

Ed, I’m about to place an order and have a quick question.

If we want to customize the button colors, do we just select “X360 Slim Arcade Custom” and put the button colors and layout in the comments section when we go to checkout? I’m interested in the standard Xbox360 button layout.

X - Y - RB
A - B - LB

Toker,
If you order a custom, you will get a link to the post order form to pick the colors. In the comments there, just write that you want the buttons wired like you did here.

You will get the link after the order is fully processed.

Hey I’m trying to see if I can save a bit extra money to pick up a stick, do you have a template for the artwork size? I was thinking of making something original to put on there, which I suppose would be okay, right?

  • If you click on one of the joysticks, there are templates at the bottom of the description.

Ed, is there are reason that you don’t offer wireless joysticks as an option? I’m no stick builder, so I have no idea how complex it actually is.

Thanks tokerblue, I just plain missed it.

Toker,
Not really a reason other than the cost would turn people away I think. I may revisit the idea when things quiet down, but I really want to get a ps3 stick done before I move onto wireless.

Oh, and I ordered 4 Madcatz Dreamcast pads (New) so I will have those up on the site soon. I will only have 4 available at first.

Ed, I’m going to be ordering one of your slim sticks in the next couple weeks (and im really excited!), I have a dilemma though. I play all my fighters on my modded xbox, as it keeps them all centralized. This way I’m not switching consoles all the time. Thing is you don’t currently make them for the original xbox, just xbox 360. I would be in a perfect place if there is a known way to use a wired 360 controller on an original xbox. Must not be too difficult since they’re both just USB cables. I’d be able to use it on my modded xbox then over to the 360 when SF IV is released. Im sure its not going to go that smoothly though. What is your suggestion? I was thinking maybe buying the PS2 one you make and using a ps2->xbox adapter. That just seems like such a pain though. :frowning:

Whipp,
Actually the PS2 - Xbox adapter is probably the best way. However, I have had a few requests for xbox controllers so I will probably add a small supply of those to the site as well just to feel out the market.

I will order some pads now and see what I can find.

Just wanted to give a quick note to everyone waiting on a stick. There seems to be a shortage of white sanwa buttons going around. I’ve made a large order of buttons from Japan that should arrive later this week or early next week. So those of you waiting, please be patient. Hopefully this order will keep me in stock for a while.

Hey Ed, you know what never mind about the lexan covering.

i just want a empty box

i got all the parts for it, just need that box i mentioned. i’ll just take that black overlay top you been using

please let me know asap, thank you :china: :china:

NO. You could put a happ button in a sanwa hole, but it will be pretty loose.

I draw and cut them at a radius of .60

Sorry to sound like a nag, but are there any updates about the possibility of that 360/PS3 stick? I’ll really need one by February 2009 at the latest for SF4’s release.
