Hello, from Arcade-In-A-Box (10% Off Coupon SRK10)

I received my stick today from Arcade In a Box, and all I can say is I love the thing. Unbelievable quality, and it works like a dream.

Amazingly paramount customer service, to go along with the same type product.

If you are in the market for a stick, seriously check Arcade In a Box out. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve got an Iori overlay that’s almost complete. I’ll probably have him on the right side of the stick. Just need to work on a background to put him on.

Hey Ed,

Those mounting plates you sent me for the Ultimarc sticks, do you have any idea if they will work for Seimitsu LS-32s? It looks like it would but I’m wondering if you know for sure.

tl613,
I’m not sure. I’ve never seen that stick in person, so I’m not sure if the holes line up or not. If it’s something that might be needed, I can easily draft some up and get them cut. I don’t have to cut large amounts and the guy only charges me a few bucks per plate.

And here is a picture of the new lower profile sticks with Astro City dimentions. Let me know what you think. No visible bolts, removed the bottom t-molding, box is about half the height of the previous units (which I will still stock and call True Arcade as proposed in this thread).

Sorry for the dark picture, I’ll try to take some better ones tomorrow.

i think the real deal astro city layout has the stick even closer to the buttons…but all in all this stick is my favorite of yours ed… give the people what they want ftw !!

Hey Will,
I took the dimensions directly from that link. The angle might be a bit misleading. I’ll try to get an image up that is straight on.

And thank you.

Ed, that’s really cool - keep it up

The new style looks pretty slick. Almost makes me wish I had waited a couple months for mine. LOL. Actually I like the old style, but not showing the bolts and buttons slightly closer are the options I would have preferred.

That stick looks awesome! How did you get the bolts hidden without using plexiglass?

Counter sink, wood puddy, sand.

A little more work involved than I typically do, but came out pretty good. I also glue the bolts in so it’s not a chore to remove the stick if you need too.

Ed

Too awesome, good stuff Ed.

Wow, that’s nice, Ed. I don’t regret my stick at all, but wouldn’t turn one of those down haha. Love the clean lines and look of it all.

I should mention, that the box part itself will start coming in a lot of colors. I found some great vinyl sticker product that goes on great with MDF, and sticks way better than I could have thought. In fact, the picture of the above unit has the black on the box. IT’s not melamine like I typically use, making the boxes a little lighter as well, perfect for the lap ;).

Colors are Red, Green, Blue, Black, White, thne a bunch of shiny chrome type things. LIke a blue chrome, red chrome, etc. Blue a fake diamond plate that looks pretty real.

Just thought I would share ;). I don’t have the time or the space to really paint each one, so this is a good altertive to just offering black like I did in the past.

Ed

AWESOME! I’m unbelievable… you did work the seimitsu buttons for project. :woot:

I want Arcade-In-A-Box
I WANT This!!!
-PlayStation 3
-P360

  • button layout curved
    -Seimitsu white/clear buttons
-Original NEO-GEO image or I like Iori overlay. Aryudsoh’s artwork

PLEEEASSEE!!

yes, you’re unbelievable pips :o

I wish I had the money to buy arcade-in-a-box

Give me some time opips, most everything will be available as options through the online store soon.

The other reason I had to switch to an alternative than melamine for this setup is because of the no t-molding on the bottom. Melamine is very sharp, and chips easily. So having an exposed edge on the bottom was not a good idea, especially when wearing shorts and playing on your lap ;).

I’ve sliced my hands pretty good a few times, it’s like a paper cut, only about 2-3 times as wide :).

That’s a great looking stick. I can’t wait to see what the stick looks like from other angles and where you actually put the other buttons. Any idea when you’ll have the new style up for sale?

This one is particular is for PSX/PS2 and the Start and Select buttons are on the right side, towards the back. Nothing really exciting, just red 24mm Sanwa buttons.

I’m hoping to get it up this week.

Looking forward to placing an order for the Xbox360.

Can the buttons be placed on the top again for the new style stick? Also, does the existing art templates match fairly well? I’m not sure if the new style is taller or wider.
