does this really not work on mame? what stops it from working?
thats the only thing holding me back from splurfing and getting a nice $250 xbox360 stick from u guys

What?? I bought mine for mame (killer instinct!! - sorry but i love KI) - it works great. The fact that it works on 360 is just a huge bonus for me.

Also, Ed, I know you use the new art so you don’t get in trouble with Capcom. But I gotta admit, even the new art looks VERY similar to the original capcom characters.
I created some new arcade overlays for Ed’s 360 arcade sticks. They should be available at arcadeinabox.com within the week. What do you guys think?

i love the silhouette style! Hadoken ryu is probably the most defined, and guiles flip kick looks good as well. The blanka design took me a second to recognize, but overall i think the idea is original and well executed. i take it the silhouettes are from SF4 models?
Thanks, I’m glad to hear you like them. Yes, they are based on the new models. They are also ALL color-customizable. The background, outline, silhouette texture and logo color can all be changed.

I would like to reply, and first start out by saying, I do NOT work for Ed. (Yes, I just registered, and can see how people could misconstrue it as such)
With that out of the way, I spent all day yesterday emailing back and forth with Ed. The guy responded to my plethora of emails/questions all day long. (Around 15 emails lol) He worked with me every step of the way. In other words, amazing customer service.
I finally ordered my stick last night, and can not wait to get it in. Here is the graphic.

Yeah I was pretty surprised at the amount of questions Ed can tolerate. I had even changed my mind on something (an overlay) through the process and he had no problem satisfying my request.
That’s why I like to contribute to his business - I just had such a damn good experience and I’m insanely satisfied with my stick (pictured above on this page). I love doing graphic design here and there, so I figured “why not?”

Did you request the button names printed?
I had found the image online (i did not create it) and thought it was awesome. I tweaked the image’s color a little and I added the graphics and text for the controls.
One question: the MK layout is accurate to the arcade?
Quick question… what materials do you use for making the actual overlays? Is it some sort of adhesive sticker type thing?

Dimensions are taken directly from the UMK3 manual, so you bet :).
And it feels perfect with UMK3. Also handy for all the 2D MKs on MAME (and Wrestlemania the arcade on MAME :lol:)

I’m usually obsessed with mk2, 3rd strike and Alpha 3. Of course killer instinct 1&2 never get old for me either.
(3rd strike and the killer instinct series became extremely valuable to me after going through the nightmare of finding all of the necessary MAME files to run them!)
