Hello, from Arcade-In-A-Box (10% Off Coupon SRK10)

JLFs are designed to be mounted about 7-8mm below the control panel (look at the HRAP sticks and Astro city panels). If the JLF is mounted level with the panel, then it starts to feel weird. You should switch the mounting plate if possible. If you can’t, then just put a Seimitsu LS-32-01 in as they are ment to be mounted level with the control panel.

Hey Ed,

I have a lot more questions about getting some boxes from you. Would it be faster to e-mail you?

I find it better to email him throught the store. Go to the site and ask away! Somebody very knowledgable will answer all your questions, if it isnt Ed himself.

Just a FYI…

That’s what I figured. It’s just that I already sent him a pretty long PM and don’t want to spam him with long-ass messages :looney:

Nah, Ed’s cool. But just don wait for him to come hre to get your messages.

Sorry guys, got this back log of orders I’m trying to knock out this week and next week. If I don’t respond to you right away, just know that I haven’t forgotten you :).

FYI, a lot of new artwork is up on the site now if you want to check it out. Just scroll down a bit, and click the image for a larger size.

More coming as well.

I don’t like all artworks, look crap but I like one the " Darkness " . :lovin:

I agree. The akuma artwork entitled Darkness is the best. The lightning kick one is also ok.

Sorry guys, it’s kind of hard to make something look like something, but not be that something ;). I actually like them all. I am so bad with anything artistic, I love seeing different styles.

I’m trying to go with several different art styles, but I have a few people that I like the best and will probably stick with them.

I also have a few of the suggestions from earlier that will on the site soon. Like the SF overlay, etc.

Did either of you see Unleash the Demon?

darkness model is definitely preferable. Akuma looks young (even teenager), and more feminine in this one, and the legs are really uneven. I think the biggest problem i have with the art style stems from his head/face though. its what makes him look…un-akuma?

Also, whatever happened to posting ps2 models?

Yeah, sorry about that. Back log of 360 sticks needs to get finished up. Then I can concentrated on some other stuff.

I’m making a big dent in the 40 or so I have to do this week. I should be caught up by the end of next week.

Ed

by the way, i appreciate the art samples a lot, even if i dont like a few of them. Putting some up for display was definitely a good move.

Thanks MidgetT, I really appreciate that.

Artwork isn’t cheap :). Many of the artists are gettig paid by commission of how their stuff sells, so that helps take some of the burden off.

I liked the art on the SF Anniversary pads a lot. Maybe your artists can do something similar to those?

Also an idea for the Capcom and Astro City templates, since of course you can’t use the Capcom and Sega logo on it, how about you modify them to say Arcade-In-A-Box instead. Like you take the yellow with blue trim Capcom letters and make them say Arcade, then In-A-Box in smaller letters under it. And for the Astro City replace Sega’s logo with Arcade in the same style, then put In-A-Box where the words Astro City would go.

Wow. nice, I bet Sugar would love this

I think the new artwork is pretty good. If “likeness” is an issue, you could just darken a lot of the pictures with Akuma and I think some of the details would sort of disappear. MORE DARKNESS!!!

I actually think the copyright issue is overall positive because the new art is always cool to look at.

I agree. Though it’s a little tough on the wallet at first, but that’s ok. I don’t mind paying for it at all. It’s just kind of like crack, I could sink my business buying artwork :).

I am probably going to order from Ed once SSF2T: HD remix comes out if I decide to get an American or Sanwa stick, which is not a given as I want to use it for SHMUPS too which means I should probably get a Seimitsu. Ed can you mount Seimitsu LS-32s flush with the top of the control panel? They are not supposed to have about 8-9mm of stick shaft beneath the panel like Sanwas. All of it is above.

By the time HD Remix comes out, I hope to have my CNC fixed. So yes, I can.

I’ll have some time to get it fixed after this backlog of orders is finished up, then I can concentrate on a lot of the other stuff I want to do. Just give me a heads up before you thinking of ordering (a couple of weeks) so I can get a stick in for testing and create a cad file for the CNC.

Which reminds me, I am still suppose to send Backbone (Developers of HD:Remix) a stick for testing. If IGN would ever send back their review model maybe I could get one too them. They have contacts with some of the worlds best SFII/III players and I want them to give some feedback on my sticks :).

Any word on my requests Ed?
