Hell On Wheels

I didn’t think the moral fuckedupidness of this show could be beaten by last season’s finale, but lo and behold this season final was the most fucked up thing I’ve ever seen on cable television.

They dangled Lily Bell’s fate in front of us for 2 hours, then once the smoke clear ends her in a deranged and lengthy revenge plot that’s unrivaled since Eric Cartman made Scott Tetherman eat his own parents.

I knew “the white spirit” created that rouse in order to cause anarchy inside and out, but I could’ve never imagined the extent it would reach plot~wise. Man I hated his character.

What a hallucinogenic experience the last 30 minutes were.

Virginia Madsen would get it all day erryday.

Man oh man oh man. Season finale was EPIC.

Man this episode got me sooooo emotional. Too moving. I musta cried like 3 times in the span of this episode.

Just gotta say Suede’s walk of glory was fucking BAWSE

woooooooooooo

Also, Lily bell is hot when she lets her hair down. Surprising how much hair changes one’s looks

S3 Preview:

S2 Recap:

I don’t even know what to expect anymore. With Lily dead the show doesn’t feel like it has a soul anymore.

Lily Bell is hot. PERIOD.

R.I.P.

Hell on Wheels - S3 E1, S3 E2

Spoiler

E1 - highlights

The winter landscape scene was pretty interesting.
‘Wild Man’ Bohannon trying to get clear in the remnants of the burned out train car.
Did he punch a wolf? Yes… he most certainly did.

Bohannon meeting up with Elam was fun to see.
The train scene was good.

There’s, Durant, who is enjoying his new quarters.
Welp, no help for Bohannon there for job stuffs.

The suit-outfitting scene had it’s moments:

 • Which way do you dress?
 • Bohannon telling/showing Elam what was up, lol.
 • “Burn it (the old clothes). No… Shoot it first.”

Bohannon stay claiming his railroad job with that vision/plan.
Yes, gentlemen… Bohannon has experience dealing with wolves and Indians.
The exchange of lines between Bohannon and Elam afterwards was a cool moment.

With things going somewhat awry at the meeting with the Irish guy, I was hoping for a round two of Bohannon and Elam fisticuffs.
Bohannon to Elam with that line about freedom/equality were some choice words.
lol @ the stoppage, though.
Congrats, Elam. You are the father.

Bohannon meets his competition from the Central Pacific Railroad.

And, there’s everyone else: Sean and Mickey, Psalms, and Ruth.
A new journey westward continues…

Summary:

 • Bohannon has a new job as the Chief Engineer of the Union-Pacific Railroad.
 • Elam deals with racism everywhere he went with Bohannon.
 • Durant is freed.

E2 - highlights

Bohannon getting stuff done via his ‘vision’.
The new railroad stuffs looking quite efficient, for starters.
Female reporter trying to get the info scoop stuffs on the railroad and Bohannon’s venture.
I liked the tour of the ‘new’ Hell on Wheels.
There’s a mention of one Ms. Lily Bell… Sad moment, there.

Oh, shit. Conflicts:

 • Bohannon encounters a hurdle in regards to the railroad in the form of a Mormon homesteader.
 • Elam meets his new ‘boss’: a white guy who is in the lead/chief law position.

Meeting with Mormons - 1
Things are somewhat peaceful between Bohannon and Hatch.
Dinner and lodging for Bohannon was a nice gesture… As was ‘dessert’, lol.
Bohannon stay getting some with the Mormon girl… until the interruption.

Psalms tells some interesting stories, lol.

lol @ a ‘broke’ Durant trying to pitch/hustle with his ‘vision’ for railroad stuffs.
What are you doing, Sean? Meeting with Durant like that and giving him money/info stuffs.

Reporter woman has an encounter with some strange guy…

Meeting with Mormons - 2
Things are not peaceful this time around when Elam and the police chief go to visit Hatch.

Damn, that sucks. Was hoping that guy would stay around for a while.
Welp, Elam. You got the job now.

Meeting with Mormons - 3
Bohannon and cavalry, plus one female reporter.
Things start out okay… until that moment of reckoning (for the boy).
Really, Hatch… You gonna still say something after the fact?

Bohannon is all business, yo.

Hell on Wheels - S3 E3

Spoiler
[]Bohannon personally deals with some cattle rustling and ends up striking a new deal for cattle with a cattle rancher named Maggie Palmer. He also likely has to deal with some Indian stuffs because of Bendix’s actions.
[
]Elam has issues with Declan Toole (Gregory’s brother) when the Irishman proposes that he take care of Eva and the baby.
[]Durant is starting up his railroad venture with Maggie Palmer, besides keeping tabs on Bohannon’s venture, via one Sean McGinnes.
[
]Some awkwardness between Sean and Ruth.
[]Mickey runs the bar and the pleasure house.
[
]Reporter woman is still adjusting to life in Hell on Wheels, besides writing her news story.

The Swede lives… as a Mr. Anderson and appears to travel with a family.
• Toole’s brother, Declan, is an interesting addition, mainly for Elam/Eva story stuffs.
 • Bendix is a peculiar individual, with his words/speech being quite choice at times.
 • Maggie Palmer is playing at something; she sells cattle to Bohannon and apparently signs on to Durant’s railroad venture. The Mrs. Durant might not take so kindly to the business the cattle rancher does with her husband, lol.
 • “He” is still alive… lol.

Forgot to comment on last week’s ep.

It was a strong season opener, and a welcome change of pace. Reporter gal aka Lilly Bell 2.0 (but not as hot) is the obvious love interest.

The polygamist dude definitely won’t be winning any “Father of the Year” awards anytime soon. What a selfish douche. Even if the boy did shoot the guy, which it’s strong hinted that he didn’t, the father should’ve claimed responsibility for the sake of his family… but NOOOO…

Irish dude being snitch is a disappointment, but well within his character. Durant is as sneaky and conniving as ever, which means he’s sure to regain his fortune by this season.

Congratulations Elam, you’re the father of a mixed baby girl in the 1800s, good luck to you sir!

I just hope I get to see more of Mrs. Durant (who probably divorced her poor-ass husband by now)

Started watching from the beginning because I was just wrapping up other shows on Netflix and Kurokun mentioned it in the Dark Souls thread. I forgot how good the dialogue is in this show, wow. Durant is played perfectly, Bohannan is still a G and Joseph is WAAAY better than I remembered. I’m only on S1E7 but man I’m glad I picked this show back up.

DEAD

Cold blooded.

Edited in right name

Hell on Wheels - S3 E4

Spoiler

It looks like Bohannon and Elam are on their way to deal with some Indians… and they need a guide.
Jimmy Two Squaws… interesting guy. Southerners know Southerners.
Elam is like, "This (white) guy gonna get me killed."
Bohannon replies, “That’s why you’re here. To not let that happen (to us).”

Oh, shit. Durant has arrived in the new Hell on Wheels… and he is greeted by Sean, but Mickey gives him some dirty looks.
Burnt and charcoal wooden ties. Guess that is what Bohannon is trying to deal with the Indians for.
lol @ Durant, "Fuck the New York Tribune."
Finally, a proper introduction to one Louise Ellison, who is a reporter for said newspaper.
Durant is like, “I have status, too”, and trying to save face with Louise, but it’s too late. No suite for you!

Declan making housecalls, and still trying to get at Eva and the baby.

Somewhere, Mr. Anderson (The Swede) is being rather nice.
The boy tells one Mr. Anderson about his dad’s job and status.
Interest is piqued. Anderson is like, “Tell me more, boy.”

Bohannon, Elam, and Jimmy arrive at the Kiowa camp.
Damn… Jimmy got KTFO, with Bohannon and Elam taken down.
Here we go with negotiations… Chief Red Bear wants Bohannon’s horse and he’s like, "You can have it."
What about the wood for the railroad ties?
Stickball? Really? And a third player, too (a non-Kiowa Indian).
These guys playing for keeps… and the Indian on Bohannon’s team is killed. Well, shit.
Bohannon (probably Elam too) is like, "Nah, son. We not gonna keep playing."
Fuckin, Jimmy is like, “Play or die is the rules. I told you guys, right?”

Mickey maintaining the status quo of the whorehouse, despite Eva’s defense of the sick whore.
And he makes a remark about Eva’s past profession, as well as about Gregory’s brother.

Eva talking to Durant, who makes nice and gives her some paper stock.
What is the paper ‘worth’ exactly, Durant?

Nice hat there, Mr. Anderson.
Hide-and-seek time. It’s Mr. Anderson’s turn now, boy.
This might not be good…

Round 2 of Stickball
Bohannon and Elam doing a bit better with the offense and getting some shots in… but Red Bear’s son does a knockdown > taunt to Bohannon.
Elam is like, "Yo, Bohannon. We gots to take these guys… with these sticks. Fuck, Jimmy."
Bohannon levels up when he is shirtless, while Elam stay getting beatdown and trying to ward off the Indians with crossed sticks, lol.
Damn, Bohannon pays back Red Bear’s son, with some interest.
Oh, shit… Bohannon about to do work… until the son starts with the ‘death chant’. That’s right, Bohannon could end you, but he doesn’t.
Chief Red Bear doesn’t like ‘shame’ that Bohannon has made him endure when he said "No."
Fire? Well, shit. Jimmy story about the Kiowa was right after all.

Elsewhere, one “Mr. Anderson” is journeying with another Mormon disciple.
Dude is like, "Brother, I will baptize you."
But “Anderson” knows better. For he has a plan in mind, in regards to religion stuffs.
“He” has awakened…

Durant still making his rounds and stops by to see the office and Sean, besides getting some info scoops about Bohannon.
Afterwards, Sean gets told off by Mickey who tells his brother that he is on his own from now on due to his stuffs with Durant.
The brother have picked their sides…

Bohannon and Elam about to get burnt, and the guys think about ‘bucket list’ stuffs.
One wanted to see the Pacific Ocean, the other wanted to get married?
Fire is going and Bohannon calls out to God. Did ‘He’ hear him? Maybe, cause the guys are freed.
There’s Jimmy with the details as Bohannon and Elam get their stuff back.
Wait… this whole thing was more-or-less entertainment, besides Red Bear trying to marry off his daughter, Buffalo Face?
Welp, Buffalo Face is explained and becomes Jimmy’s new wife, who now has to get a name change (upgrade?).

Ruth, Bohannon is trying to tell you a story about praying to God. Why are you laughing?
Oh, right. Jimmy and Buffalo Face saved Bohannon and Elam from the fire.
The whole ordeal was a test from God, with some weird punchline.

Durant trying to butter up Louise with some news about Bohannon, trying to tarnish his name.
Later, Louise tries to get the scoop from Bohannon, but he doesn’t say much about it.
Bohannon is like, "I got a deal for wood with Indians, for the railroad. Nobody did that shit before. That is railroad news."
Louise definitely taken in by Bohannon’s character, in regards to the story she’s writing.

Eva to Elam; "Read this to me."
Elam uses read
Eva is swooning from the nice words, but Elam doesn’t particularly like his ‘reference’.

Now they fighting about Declan being in the house and making Eva think about life in somewhere far away from Hell on Wheels.
Bad stuff happening? Well, it happened, cause the baby is gone.
What now?

poor Buffalo Face… she will never know the irony of her name

Started Season 2 this morning. Goddamn I can’t believe how much has changed…

 • Never woulda thought Bohannon woulda joined a raiding party, thought it seems true to his character.
 • Elam is a man alone  no Eva, no Cullen, obviously no white friends, and now no black dudes either. Just his cash and his smokes. Plus he must have started drinking, he was halfway through that bottle of whiskey with no visible problems.
 • Lilly is fucking Durant
 • The Irish boys are grimey as fuck.
 • Oh and  at the Swede and his fall.

Just finished S2 =>
+No fucking way the Swede is dead. His last words “Bid you… good day” <Note not farewell, just day he will see Cullen later.
+Man I hate Irish people. <says the mostly Irish guy>
~Toole killed himself. Mickey is an asshole. Sean is trying way to hard to fuck Ruth.
+As insufferable as Elam was this season I’m happy for him getting Eva back and not killing Lilly.
+I don’t like how Other Speaking Black Dude’s (sorry I don’t know his name, Imma google it real quick… Psalms, really that’s his name on IMDB) internal bleeding just sort of went away kinda unexplained. I’m happy he is still around, but that seems like something they did and just went, “Shit we can’t kill this character!”
+I still really like Bohannan. I like that they added the fact that he went to college and came from a good family and all that.

I feel like he is going to come back but HoW, or what ever the new settlement is called, but the railroad with no Thomas Durant is going to be really weird.

Hell on Wheels - S3 E5

Spoiler

A baby, gone…
A search for the baby is conducted; fingers are pointed at Declan, more racial tension.
A big rain is coming and Hell on Wheels needs to move.

Durant offers a reward for safe recovery of the baby (with what money, now?).
lol @ Elam’s comment to Durant after the gesture was made.
Bohannon is like, "When you showed up, (bad) things happen. GTFO."
Oh, look… there’s Sean. Durant gives him a pep talk.

There’s Anderson… and the Mormon family doing a baptismal.
Look at Anderson’s face. Something’s up.
Taking in the baptism rites procedure.

Elam goes searching… and Bohannon arrives to help. Camp ain’t moving without Bohannon.
Denver? That’s far.

Declan still coming around Eva when Elam isn’t home.
Psalms (and his posse) doing work and taking matters into his own hands.
The uncles are having a difference of opinion.

Eva is distraught and Ruth offers her support/comfort.
There’s mention of Joseph, a baby that didn’t happen, amidst religious talk.

Declan and Psalms with some small talk.
Psalms with the background behind his name.
Also, his life story… and the hate for the white man.

Welp, the guys find the baby… and it’s the whore and her man that had her.
Bohannon with the parting gift: a gun and some advice for the couple, along with a warning.

The conflict between the McGinnes brothers continues with some choice words.
Who gonna lose the money bet: Mickey or Sean

Bohannon’s got some skills, sourcing some nourishment for the baby.
Elam has a Lion King moment, besides claiming fatherhood status.

The men return and all is good.
Well, except for Psalms who’s like, “Damn it.” and begrudgingly lets Declan go.
Bohannon is like, “Show’s over. Rain is coming. Get shit done.”

Anderson with a voice-over alongside a montage.
Listen to his voice; that ‘conviction’ in the spoken words. Probably remembers some stuff from when he was hanging out with Reverend Cole, lol.
Awake from a deep sleep The Swede did.

The evil Swede wants to be a family man, and is learning the father’s trade to assume his identity. What a terrifying monster he is.

Man Elam just got beta maled so disappointing, raising a kid who’s clearly not yours genetically, which in the case of him being black in the Restoration Era is going to make her life unnecessarily more difficult. I disagree with his “noble” intent, it’s just selfish.

I want Virginia Madsen to pop up soon.

Hell on Wheels - S3 E6

Spoiler

Holy shit… There it is.
Anderson’s baptism? Nope.
More like, The Swede’s ‘awakening’ ceremony, complete with sacrifices/offerings.
Run, Ezra. This could very well be the last game of hide-and-seek you will ever play.

Bohannon not fucking around with the stuck mule.
lol @ the mule/jackass comment Bohannon makes when Durant appears.
Ulysses Grant? Bohannon is like IDGAF.
Durant being dirty with the injunction stuffs.

Durant’s ‘status’ reconfirmed with Credit Mobilier (which likely explains why he has money, lol).
Bohannon’s thoughts when he sees Louise’s article: “This bitch.”

Durant then going in with the competency (character) hearing of Bohannon.
Damn it, Louise… do you want the truth or a story?
Sean (aka: Durant’s bitch) is scared, while Durant regales him a story about his humble beginnings and destiny.

Elam notes some guy and finds out that he wants to kill Bohannon, who had killed his brother in a church, back in DC.
Dude is sent packing on a departing train, with Elam doing his job.

The competency/character hearing is underway, as Durant goes to work calling up people:

 • Louise: stories about Bohannon and her experiences with him
 • Mendix: the death of the Hatch boy and the situation at the time, besides some tangent on cranial behavior stuffs (WTF)
 • Ruth: the insight on Mormon stuffs
 • Mickey: the lost baby incident and Bohannon’s judgement call of the couple
 • Elam: Bohannon’s killing tendencies, as of late

Hmm… it appears that Bohannon is getting things in order, in the likely event that he is let go from his position from the railroad project:

 • He visits Elam (who apparently does coffee brewing tributes) and gives him a contract ensuring his job with the railroad.
 • He later visits Ruth and chats with her about some stuff. Nice comment from Bohannon about moving stuffs (“Sin takes longer to pack.”) Ruth imparts some words from her father about leaving the past behind to move forward.

Looks like Durant and Senator Metcalf are coming up with a contingency plan for railroad control stuffs.
Some sort of document that will have Bohannon signing away his job status.
Later, Bohannon is presented the ‘roundabout’ statement paper and is asked to sign it.
Bohannon makes a speech, that is partially addressed to Grant, and is like “Nope. I ain’t signing this.”, then leaves.

Bohannon stops by the saloon and asks Mickey for a drink (the good stuff) cause, apparently, he quit the railroad job.
Elsewhere, Durant celebrates having his job back, with Louise, who is there for story stuffs.
Durant questions Louise’s status at present, with Louise replying about some incident, and Durant remarking about some 'unrequited indiscretion.'
Wait, what? Louise… Really?!
Didn’t expect that.

Later, Louise stops by the saloon for a drink, but is refused service from Mickey, but Bohannon says it’s cool.
Bohannon is a man of many talents, which include two-step dancing stuffs. He’s also pretty drunk, lol.

Elam comes home to Eva and tells her that he has job security and thoughts of a future life with her.
Welp, he proposes to her and she accepts, complete with a ring, too (package from earlier on, apparently).

While pissing, Bohannon notes a guy in the train/rail yard (the guy that Elam sent packing earlier).
Bohannon gets the drop on one Jasper Prescott, via stealth/sneak tactics, and finds out that he had killed Prescott’s brother in the church back in DC.
Bohannon then offers Prescott a life-or-death choice, Prescott refuses, Bohannon then shoots him dead.

Back in the saloon, Mendix is talking about more cranial behavioral stuffs to an uninterested Grant, who is denied good drinking stuffs by Mickey, lol.
Bohannon comes in, offers some good stuff, and drinks/talks with the General.
Snipe hunt? What?

The ‘transformation’ of Mr. Anderson/The Swede is complete with the Mormon outfit.
And there he goes… off on his new journey/calling.
Hmm… I don’t recall seeing Ezra’s body among his parents in the river. Maybe he survived?
IMO, I think this should’ve been the ending scene to the episode.

Elsewhere, Bohannon and Grant are talking like old war buddies, besides indulging in drinks and smokes.
“That shifty sack of shit.” The opinion of Ulysses Grant on Durant.
A Northern General/Southern Soldier venture to unite the US is an interesting venture.
Grant is pretty cool: He supports Bohannon and dislikes Durant (he even renames the town of ‘Durant’ to Cheyenne, lol).

Back at Hell on Wheels, the town is moving again.
lol @ the railroad employee train boarding scene. Bohannon fires Sean and denies him entry/passage. Sean stay losing, while Mickey stay winning.
Bohannon then sees Grant nearby, who is apparently telling off Durant and Sen. Metcalf, before the General acknowledges the Southerner.
Fun scene at the end of the episode as Bohannon (via train car) sees Sean being left behind and the look on Durant’s face as he passes him by.

Random thoughts:
Mendix is quite learned, cultured even.
However, he kinda makes me think of Bebop from TMNT, were he to go back in time to this era, primarily for appearance stuffs.

Drinking story stuffs with The Swede, Reverend Cole, and Major Mendix, would probably be interesting.

Hell on Wheels - S3 E7

Spoiler

The hell is this?
Strange piano BGM opening tune… Bohannon appearing worse for wear in an outdoor furniture showroom… and some kid looking kinda fierce with a knife, before he runs off with some stuff.
Water is good for recovery stuffs, though.

Hmm… It appears some sort of sickness (cholera) outbreak is happening in Hell on Wheels.
Crossed-off names is serious, as is the tainted drinking water being part of the problem.
A ‘rat’ causing problems? Not Durant this time around, lol.

Bohannon deals with the workers, with one big guy not liking the terms: work without water or check-in to infirmary if sick.
lol @ Bohannon’s look/face at the screen/camera when the big dude said shit.
Elam with the sneak attack from the big guy’s back/shadow to put him down.
The bald guy is happy that he got a promotion.

There’s Durant, trying to ‘sell’ his dream/vision with no real finances, lol.
Looks like there’s fallout/disagreement between Durant and Metcalf… which ends up being fatal for Metcalf, when he goes for Durant’s paper with 'value.'
lol @ Durant to Sean, “What did you do?”, besides ‘blame shift’ stuffs.

Bohannon visits Durant for a water deal:
Bohannon: "I’ll take it (water) by money or force.
Durant: "I will dump that water if you try anything.
No deal, here.
That, and Durant in rare form, being semi-disenchanted about railroad prospects from his POV.

Sean looking all sad-faced, visits Mickey and addresses him formally (Michael).
Mickey is like, “Welp, WTF happened to you?”

Ruth stay handling sick business stuffs, while Eva looks on.
Eva visiting Declan and saying she wants to bounce with the baby? Damn.
Declan’s pretty happy about that.

Workers trying to GTFO of Hell on Wheels since Bohannon wasn’t able to get some sort of water deal in time.
Mormon settlement/fort offering shelter and stuff? This is besides riders spreading the good word about their lifestyle.
Bohannon is like: "You fools walking. Ain’t none of you getting a ride there with the horses and carts."
Afterwards, Bohannon goes searching for water stuffs, and leaves Elam in charge to get a windmill project underway.

Bohannon goes to check out a possible water source.
Offers his horse some water instead, despite his own worsening condition.
Horse has a Hidalgo moment and finds water… Unfortunately, it turns out to be a literal 'death pool.'
Bohannon continues his search for water, and without a horse.

Psalms in ‘story mode’, talking about all types of heat states with Elam, besides telling him that things will be okay.
The ‘nameless’ baby has a name for consideration by Elam: Rose.
Elam goes home to Eva and his baby and things seem all right from his POV, while Eva tries to cool down with some folding fan action.

Mickey to Sean, “Yeah… No,” with Sean being all like, "Come on, bro. Don’t leave me hanging like this."
Apparently, something happened with the McGinnes bros back in Boston.
Afterwards, Mickey confronts a somewhat frazzled Durant, who calls Mickey a ‘saloon pimp’ in so many words, lol.
Mickey sends Sean away so that the big boys can talk business, and he proposes that he can help out Durant with some magic tricks.

Bohannon channeling Naked Snake with MGS3 survival stuffs, but he comes up a bit short on sustenance from a foraging point.
Eerie piano tune kicks in and Bohannon finds himself in the episode’s first scene stuffs.
Bohannon gets water from the boy and rewards him with some beef jerky rations, besides asking him where he got the water from.

Eva has a moment with her baby. What could it mean?

Durant has a moment to himself, likely in regards to what has befallen him.
Elsewhere, the cholera victims are in the process of being eradicated via fire stuffs.
Mickey and Sean have a ‘contribution’ of their own to make to the corpse pile, before it is lit ablaze.
Sean is relieved, but Mickey is like, “I’m done with you… forever.”

Bohannon finds a water source and appears to have regained a better health status level.

The Swede encounters a Mormon who is scouting for the missionary family.
As he is about to possibly end the Mormon scout’s life should the story not hold, the scout earns a reprieve and says that he’ll lead The Swede back to the settlement/fort.
Chances are that The Swede has some sort of direction to where he is supposed to go, but to be confirmed as the new identity is likely better in this case… unless someone over there at the settlement knows who was actually supposed to show up, anyway.

Bohannon and the boy bring news about a possible water source to Elam and the others.
Things turn out well as the windmill strikes water.
Back at Hell on Wheels, Bohannon makes an acquaintance of the (silent) boy as Ruth looks on, seeing Bohannon in rare form.
I was like waiting for the boy to say his (own) name, or something. But, I’m thinking that some event later on has the boy reuniting/meeting with The Swede again.

Eva finds Declan on the last train that is leaving and gives him the baby…
…However, she doesn’t join him and tells him to take care of ‘Rose’ as she decides to stay in town instead.
Welp, no more baby for Elam to be a father to?

Hell on Wheels - S3 E8

Spoiler

Cholera barbecue is still going on.
Elam returns home and Eva tells him that the baby is with Declan and on their way to New York for a better life.
Elam gets mad and tells Eva to GTFO and go back to whoring.

Durant stay getting his morning shave and drink service at the barber’s, where causes of death is the topic for a brief convo.
Holy shit… Bohannon with the interruption and impromptu business proposal (Mormon stuff) to Durant, with a razor’s edge.
Missed opportunity for something with either man.

Elam is hella drunk about the baby being gone, but Bohannon is like, "Can he ride? (for work stuffs)."
Elam: "Son of a bitch! Is that a threat?
Bohannon: "No, it’s a warning."
Work more important and Psalms is asked to do something, regardless of Elam’s condition, cause Bohannon has a deadline to make with railroad stuffs.

A stagecoach appears, and with it, a Detective Malone from Boston, who inquires about the missing Metcalf at the hotel where he was last at.
Sean overhears, and tells Durant about what had happened afterwards with Metcalf. Sean is sweating, but Durant is like, "IDK what you are talking about."
Malone stops by Durant’s room and asks about Metcalf, with Durant acting like nothing is wrong.
After Malone leaves, Durant isn’t that worried about stuffs, but Sean is like, “I’m gonna bounce.”

Apparently the boy is causing some trouble for Ruth, but Bohannon lets the boy know what’s up.
Looks like Durant wants to tag along with Bohannon (and the boy) and help him to deal with some Mormon business.
The boy is put to work to carry a saddle, but it’s heavy and Bohannon helps him out.
As the trio travels to the Mormon fort, the plan is to get the railroad worker deserters back, with Durant as the negotiator.
Also, something about returning the boy, besides the fact that the plan is pretty desperate if Bohannon needs Durant’s help.

Malone stops by to see Elam, who is still drunk off his ass.
Sean stops by to talk to Mickey, who realizes that something is up, in regard to the Boston detective, and tells Sean that he’s on his own.

Near the Mormon fort, Bohannon and Durant encounter Collis Huntington, who is building the rairoad from the West, and is accompanied by some Chinese and Scoggins, his interpreter, who has an amusing comment in Mandarin, in regard to the dinner invitation stuffs.
Huntington invites the men to dinner, where they can discuss business stuffs.
At dinner, there is talk about the Chinese and Brigham Young’s beliefs, besides the actions of the Mormons.
Durant takes the opportunity to ‘negotiate’ with Huntington, in regards to Bohannon’s situation, with the railroad building deadline terms of who is in charge. Bohannon gets mad when Durant makes a move to offer himself to Huntington and is like, "WTF are you doing?"
Bohannon leaves, but Huntington says that he also has an offer for the Southerner.

Eva tries to get her old job back with Mickey, but he says “No” cause he doesn’t want to deal with Elam.
As Elam staggers to the saloon, Mickey gives Eva some cash to get her on her way, then he deals with Elam by running interference.

Eva and Sean are at the train platform, waiting for the train to take them away from town, tomorrow, with both of them having their reasons for leaving town.
Sean spots Malone and overhears him at the telegraph station as he inquires about some info regarding a 'Sean McGinnes.'
A train pulls in and Louise returns to town. She sees a sad Eva and offers to hear her out on what has happened lately.

That evening, Scoggins approaches Bohannon and tells him about the 411 regarding the fallout of the Mormon boy hanging, where there are two POVs depending on who you ask: Mormons might not take to seeing Bohannon right now.
Scoggins apparently is a white guy from China, who is learned in the language and likes the clothing, lol.
Huntington appears and sends Scoggins away, then talks to Bohannon about offering him some job stuffs with him, besides a vision of an ideal dream. Bohannon declines Huntington’s offer and says that he’ll make his own way.

After Huntington leaves, the boy ‘speaks’ to Bohannon and introduces himself as Ezra.
The two of them briefly talk about stuffs, until Ezra goes silent again, and Bohannon voicing his thoughts aloud.
Kinda fun bonding moment here, though.

Elam (who probably has still been drinking) tries to wake up Psalms, saying that they need to go to New York to find his baby and get her back.
Psalms is like, "That baby gone. She gone."
Elam is sad as fuck, but Psalms offers him some words/advice on his situation.

The next morning, Bohannon, with Ezra in tow, approaches the makeshift camp outside the Mormon fort, which isn’t paradise according to one of the deserters. Working for Bohannon is better, compared to what the Mormons are currently offering.
A Mormon group approaches Bohannon, who says that he wants to return Ezra, but they are not taken with Bohannon’s appearance, despite the Southerner keeping a low profile.
Ezra pulls a knife on the lead Mormon guy, apparently not wanting to go with them.
Bohannon quickly withdraws and leaves with Ezra and apologizes for his actions, then tells the deserter to ‘man up’ and leave despite the threat of supposed Mormon harm.
Damn, Ezra is pretty brave. Like, everyone was probably like, “WTF is this kid doing?” He was ready to cut some fools up.
Ezra will need the fight training for the likely inevitable ‘boss’ encounter…

Sean meets with Mickey and says that he’ll do something about the situation, something that Mickey doesn’t agree with.
Despite Mickey’s warnings of what could likely happen, Sean is like "IDGAF. I’ll be free from all this running."
Sean then goes to see Ruth and tells her about his past life, but Ruth is like, "I can’t help you."
Things get a bit intense, and as Sean is about to say something about Mickey, he is shot - by Mickey - who says that he is saving Ruth’s life, with Ruth looking on in shock at what just happened.

Later at the church, Mickey explains what had happened to Malone, regarding Sean’s death/actions.
Malone’s work appears to be done here, but a brief convo between him and Mickey, says otherwise. Boston is a dangerous place.
Wasn’t expecting that to happen.
The real question though is what is up with Mickey?

Durant gets dropped off by Huntington, who is confident that he’ll get to build more of the railroad, compared to Bohannon.
However, Durant spoils the moment and notes Bohannon returning with the deserters, Huntington giving the Southerner props.

Mickey meets with Durant to talk business and tell him what’s up.
However, Durant stands his ground against Mickey’s position against him and even goes as far to ‘eloquently’ give the surviving/remaining McGinnes brother a ‘another time, another place’ speech.
Durant is done dealing with everyone’s shit.
Those words… Durant pretty much tells Mickey about his version of the ‘Slap Game’ from HIMYM, more-or-less.
Need a YT version of that quote/scene, lol.

Later, Mickey and Bohannon bury Sean, and Bohannon asks about what happened back in Boston.
Mickey gives some insight about what happened: two other incidents with girls.
Maybe there will be a flashback to those past events in Boston, with the McGinnes brothers?

Bohannon goes to see Ruth, who is saddened by Sean passing, as she cries on Bohannon’s shoulder.

 • A “Western” version/scenario based off of Lone Wolf and Cub, featuring Bohannon, Ezra, and The Swede, would be pretty interesting, I think.
 • Fallout stuffs: Durant/Metcalf and Mickey/Sean. Unexpected, but strangely fitting?
 • The preview for next week’s episode look quite interesting.

Two more episodes until the end of the season…

shit is gonna go dowwwwwwwwwn next week :wow:
