Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

Just say it’s a smaller Ragnaros

So I had the most batshit insane idea for a deck. Try guess what it is.

HOLY SHIT someone tried to pull nearly the same deck as me. Too bad I couldnt archive it. The dude had the naturalize + coldlight oracle + Nozdormu and tried to deck me out. I was discarding cards after he played his oracle at turn 4-5 and I was like HERE HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF YOU DISCARDED YOUR SHIT AS WELL -> plays some cheap spells to clear my hand and his board and naturalized his oracle -> played my oracle -> he had to discard Nozdormu.

I threw out cho behind illidan and 3 spawned 2/1s. Cho ate a swipe but it was worth it. Cuz I had 2 + the stolen swipe in my hand and a Azure drake on the field and a thalnos in hand.

It was hilarious we were both trying to deck each other out and I had to spend some extra cards without a combo because of the sheer card draw we were getting.

I just wiped out a handlock deck with my discard deck. Giants got discarded, stealthed Cho, and I assassinated his Rag. He conceded after that.

Besides Mukla, I’d also like to have a Kidnapper for this deck.

Just for shits I’ve been in the lab tinkering with some deck ideas and came up with one that is surprisingly successful for me right now.

I call it peek-a-boo druid. I went down to level 18 testing different decks out…and since playing peek-a-boo druid last night went up to level 15 fairly quickly; its performing well at 15 too (which is about where you see more and more legendary cards, deck archetypes like handlock, and better play).

Here is a link to it. Check it out. I’m sure we could have some people tweak it with better cards (my legendary’s are limited but I’m sure that people could test with different fatties).

Never thought of a rogue discard deck. Very interesting.

Rogue is the best class if you want to do the most damage with a discard deck.

I just immediately went to druid and naturalize when i made my deck. I was thinking of trying my peekaboo deck with rogue/stealth on alarm-o-bot

You know you guys wanna do this…

I almost died to the sickest setup. I took my Hunter opponent down to 7 health at the end of my turn, and I had 5 minions with 14 damage on the board. I had 14 life, so I was feeling fairly safe. His play: hero power, Leeroy kill command for 13 damage, taking me to one life. Then finally, leper gnome.

Did I mention I had a demolisher on the board? Naturally he positioned the gnome right in front of it so that my heart could jump out of my chest as that barrel went sailing over its head at the start of my turn.

So I have to show you my final game in the 15 rank playing peek-a-boo druid vs mage. I was on the draw (coin).
Turn 1–Innervate. Robot.
Turn 2–Ironbark. Coin. Robot.
Turn 3–Ysera. Robot.
Turn 4-- Rag. Robot.

You saw where this was going.

Just fought a Druid using a discard deck. I lost that match, but I feel like he cheated. I saw him use a coin when he had 0 mana, and he brought out a coldlight. I wish I had recorded that match so I could look at it again to be sure. The opponent’s name was Kuraned, by the way.

@owattjacob This guy used brewmasters, you should use them if you’re going to go with a discard deck.

Probably in another druid deck since I have very few cards aside from the oracle and ancient of lore/azure drake that is worth sending back to my hand. I have too much card draw already, and that deck is quite tight on slots. Any more adjustments and i’d probably have to scrap half the deck and make it go full on discard

Though I have a thought. Oracles give both players 2 cards, paladins has divine favor that can benefit from your opponent having more cards. Paladin zoo with cho? Murloc paladin is another but eh I dont have much of their cards. I’ll see what I can come up with for fun.

I got Divine Favor recently, and I thought about making a discard deck with a Paladin using that card + oracle + Cho. Basically, my idea was to try to make the opponent kill himself by giving him Divine Favor, then use the oracles to dump more cards. I think I’m gonna try to make a deck.

Question: does anyone know why people use Mad bombers? They don’t seem worth it to me. You’re basically throwing him out there, hoping that all 3 bombs hit the opponent or his minions? I’d rather use Knife Jugglers.

Bombers have immediate effects. You get a 3/2 on the board and a chance to take out or damage an opposing minion. Knife jugglers are better in general, but if you don’t combo them, they may die before they ever get to use their effect.

Speaking of bombers, though, a guy I played last night dropped one and it immediately threw three bombs at his own harvest golem. He then used naturalize on the damaged golem and conceded.

Kripp sure loves those bombers

Holy mother of god I just had the most stupid draw against this Handlock as Miracle Rogue. Going second, 2 Coldlights and sap + some other cards, he does the usual tap on turn 2 and 3. I play Coldlight on turn 3 and he tops at 10 cards and discards a Mountain Giant on his draw, but he also have one in his hand and plays it. Coin + Coldlight on turn 4 making him discard a Molten Giant and then I sap his Mountain Giant destroying it. I kill him on turn 7 after that.

I have things I should be doing tomorrow, but I’m really tempted to just grind and see if I can sneak up on Legend before the season comes to a close. I’ve gone from rank 14 to 7 today alone, so curiosity may get the best of me.

Also speaking of mad bombers, some of these are too good. http://imgur.com/laZaDGC
