Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

In a Handlock vs. Pally Giants fight, I feel like Pally Giants should come out on top, since they have FOLLOW DA RULEZ, Equality, and better heals. Then again, this is all provided that you are able to get Tirion to do his damn job.

Yeah after facing handlocks a couple more times, I feel like I have an advantage over them. Peacekeepering a giant instead of trading with them is vital

I am now thinking hammer of wrath is pretty good actually. If you combo it with wild pyromancer it’s like a swipe with card draw, much better if you combo it with coin

Got myself a Cho today.

In regards to the Paladin Giants deck, I’m thinking about adding in 2x Blessing of Wisdom. It’s not so much to facilitate my own card draw, but more so to discourage rush decks from repeatedly attacking my face when I have nothing on the board. Slapping that shit onto a turn one Leper Gnome would definitely take the wind out of their sails, I’d say.

Pulled a leeroy out of a arena pack, proceeded to make a rogue aggro deck and go from rank 17 to 13 in less than 10 games. Think I’ll go for legendary this week while i wait for 2.2 in ff14.

Got my first golden legendary yesterday, a Millhouse. He’s been putting in work though since most get too mindfucked to know what to do. Played a druid who burned through 5-6 cards to buff a druid of the claw only to have him poly’d the next turn .

Why are you using a leper gnome in a Paladin giants deck?

I don’t think blessing of wisdom is a good idea, I actually like people to rush my face so I’ll drop a free molten giant then board clear then heal myself back up

Blessing of Wisdom gives you the card draw, even if you cast it on your opponent’s creature. Therefore, it’s a pseudo-removal card that costs 1 mana, since very few players will want to attack for 2 or 3 damage, while giving you a card.

Come on homie, there’s no way I’m running Leper Gnome in a giant deck.

OK ignore that, I’m thinking of blessing of kings

Are you getting beat bad by rush decks?

I thought I was, but not anymore, haha. Must have been a bad streak of getting hosed by zoo.

After playing ranked with the BoWs, the verdict?

FUCKING SMART.

Nothing like casting it to stop a Harvest Golem, Flame Imp, or various other cheap creature dead in its tracks, if the opponent knows what’s good for them. I dropped it on a dude’s double Innervate’d Turn 1 Chillwind Yeti, and he conceded after I slapped it with turn 1 Wisdom, followed up with turn 3 Aldor Peacekeeper.

Also, it really helps to thin the deck and pump out your Mountain Giants quicker, if you play it on a uncontested Silver Hand Recruit (or you are fighting a particularly stubborn rush deck).

Additionally, I treat it as a 1 cost way to give your minion taunt and spelltaunt, since no one wants to let that shit live. It’s great for a BoW to draw a silence, so that there is one less to hit Tirion, Cairne, or your Twilight Drakes.

Glad someone else is using BoW as a tool to deter the opponent from attacking.

Yeah, I remembered doing it a lot in Arena, so I was like ā€œwhy the hell am I not doing this in ranked?ā€

Someone used BoW on my Raging Worgen when I was a mage when I played it early, but unfortunately for my opponent, he kept that worgen alive and I had the opportunity to buff it to high heaven and used him as a finisher. Another time in arena I threw down Venture co and it got BoW’d and at the time I didn’t really have something big to trade with it. Fuck.

but yeah works pretty alright as a cheap delay tactic regardless or psuedo taunt. Can be pretty annoying when used on a Argent commander in the right situations.

Since my quest for today was for Warlock, i figured I’d throw together a zoo deck and try my luck. The game I just played was ridiculous.

I was one point from lethal on the board, so i dropped three small minions hoping the knife juggler would finish him off. That dumbass knife juggler hit a temple enforcer three times. Then I managed to get enough taunts on the board to hold that berserker off. Eventually I had just enough stuff on the board to do one damage short of killing it when it was at 30/12. I ran my Harvest Golem into it, hoping the knife juggler would finally help a brother out and hit that berserker for the finishing damage. Did it happen? Of course not. Knife straight to the dome. Why didn’t you do that two turns ago, you stupid gnome?

I think I like this discard/taunt deck I created. Super annoying for the opponent. For a discard deck, you want to drag out matches as long as possible, and I think this combo works. Gotta get Cho out as early as possible, though. I love how he just stops people in their tracks.

Millhouse is golden! Get it?

Looks like everything came up Millhouse!

LOL that BoW is hilarious, maybe I should try it so I can buff my twilight drakes more

Edit - Damn I am currently liking it. Helps me cycle through my cards faster. Made me drop the Black Knight though cause I don’t have anything else I think I can drop. I’ll start having problems with slots once I get that Avenging Wrath, Tirion, etc lol

Edit 2 - BoW just won me a game, I fought a mage who buffed his mana wyrm to 3/3 on turn one. With no clear play for a couple turns I just put a BoW on him and he was forced to attack me so I was able to draw all those giants and was just putting out my massive creatures every turn due to having a full hand while going low on health.

Okay, be sure to watch from 2:25.
