That’s a meh one, the real showoff is this one.
Thinking about a Hunter legendary that would be a hero from the Warcraft series, who could it even be? I mean Rexxar is already used as the playable hero… who else is there? I don’t really remember many relevant hunters in Warcraft lore that could be used.
Ooh wildwaker is a common as well, so very easy to acquire.
But honestly, most of the cards revealed today (and there were more than on Reddit) are…pretty meh at best.
King’s Elekk has MASSIVE potential though. 2 mana 3/2 draw a card?
There aren’t many left.
Rexxar as hero.
Sylvanas already legendary.
Alleria as hero.
Hemet as legendary.
Only one I could think of is Veressa Windrunner, sister of Alleria and Sylvanas.
[e] Ok, maybe that one bloodelf guy, don’t know his name.
But luckily there are lots of beasts to chose from… hooray.
Huh, Hunter got 2 Legendaries.
Sup guys. Haven’t played this game in ages. Thinking about starting again, but I want to know if any of the new cards work well with discard decks? I haven’t played any of the expansions after Naxx.
Yup. Yet hunter is still the only class waiting for a good legendary, I guess maybe next expansion.
BTW as cool as most of the cards are, I really hate Heckler and Ice Rager. Like seriously WTF, they could just adjust the stats of magma rager and booty, instead they release 2 cards that are PURE power creep.
I think keeping them around is fine since it helps newer players understand why the cards are simply bad.
The biggest issue is that even power creeped both cards still suck lol.
I don’t know, it screams lazy design. It also makes new players go wtf, when they see their starter cards have versions that are straight up superior. Not good for the reputation of the game, as one of the card games that actually doesn’t do stupid power creep stuff.
that new rogue card the summons nerubians seems good for milling.
Oh it’s definitely lazy lol. But meh.
Starter cards nobody uses anyway, no big deal

this card stands out for me
Aside from that, lots of interesting cards but this one by far…
Spoiler
HNNGHH

that new rogue card the summons nerubians seems good for milling.
Debatable. We need to see if those cards allow a draw or not. If it’s like Iron Juggernaut the card really struggles.
If it straight up denies a draw it’d be so amazing… or maybe better if it didn’t for mill rogue. Not sure.

Starter cards nobody uses anyway, no big deal
Hearthstone was one of the few card games, that didn’t balance by rarity. That didn’t have straight power creep. Those are virtues of the game. One of the many reasons Hearthstone is so popular is it doesn’t look as ptw as other games, it doesn’t appear that way at all.
That is partly due to those 2 virtues of Hearthstone I mentioned. I hope they have changes planned for Magma rager or BBB, cause in a digital card game, releasing straight up better versions of existing cards (1 less mana, 1 more health) should never happen.
I disagree, and I dont see it as a big deal at all. I feel like people just feel entitled, and want any reason they can to be upset.
Those cards were never used, not even really by new players. The new cards are commons, and easy to attain. It gives them a sense of progression, and understanding, and even the new cards probably wont see play anyway
Hey they could gain a Elemental tribe tag in the future
edit I love how Black Knight subtlety gets a moment to shine because he was featured in this tournament in WoW.
Smug knight and black knight synergy
I think the principle of releasing new cards that are just objectively better versions of old cards is pretty bad when you could obviously just buff the old cards, even if either of those cards don’t see any play post buff.
It’s a ridiculous move by Blizzard because even if you personally don’t think it’s a big deal, others do. Releasing Evil Heckler/Ice Rager is just giving ammo to powercreep complaints and general begrudgement to Brode’s design philosophy.
