Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

Either you have spent a shit ton on packs, or you do have the best luck in the world lol.

Honestly, Commanding Shout is better than Battle Rage in just 1 instance, and thats them having a big taunt on board and you have no other way through it. Otherwise, I feel like the 3/1s that stick around actually anti-synergize with keeping your board full of 3/2 grim patrons. And Its not hard for battle rage to draw 2, and its game winning when it can draw like 4

Well, I just got a golden Blingtron.

Time to go to work on my Blingtron Druid Savagery deck.

I’ve bought the $10 seven packs a few times, was getting like 1-2 legs every time. I originally only wanted a few packs, but when my luck kept kicking in, I couldn’t see why I wouldn’t snag another pack. I was basically buying 7 packs to open while I was on break at work. I’ve spent more on the adventures than I have on packs, I think.

Average is 1 leg per 20 packs

lol yeah, so I’ve been told.

Its okay, when you eventually buy 60 packs only to get no legs, your reckoning will have come!

lol i kept looking at that 50 dollar bunch of packs, and thinking ā€œif i buy that, I just know I will get proper fuckedā€

I bought 40 packs once, got cairne in the first five, then no legs until my second to last pack.

I was angry, and then with 2 packs left, out comes rag. Proceeded to go all in and craft control warrior.

i need to figure out what to do with the warrior cards I got now. I’d like to do a powerful version of the grim deck. I’m having trouble figuring out what I should take out, or keep in…

Still tuning dragon pally… had a hard time vs hunter, I’d stabalize and then just die. Removed Sludge Belcher and added x2 healbots. Added blessing of wisdom to help get through my cards, and for chromaggus synergy, removed muster for zombie chows. Much more stable early game now. Zombie Chow into Minibot is so annoying to deal with. I actually completely removed equality, because I am running big guys and it hurts me too much… though when I faced a warlock who traded his board and dropped Kelthuzad, I had no way to deal with it lol.

I have yet to have Rend Blackhand actually kill anything, but Im at high ranks still so all I see is face hunter or budget decks with no legs outside of loatheb. And I couldnt get it on the turn I needed to kill KT : (

Chromaggus is so awesome, one game I got 2x the deal 3 damage battlecry guy, and played both after drawing them, serious damage. Hes not as easy to kill unless the opponent is running hard removal. I just love getting double cards, and if you can get off a Lay on Hand or a solemn Vigil, holy shit the value!

Tirion is in there just because hes so strong, of course. Most likely I will end up dropping Rend for a BGH or something, hes just not cutting it yet. Will have to post my decklist later.

I already dropped volcanic dragon, even though dropping it post consecrate for free can be nice, it just wasn’t cutting it.

Turn 2 mini bot into turn 3 coin hungry dragon, and killing off the 1 drop for the opponent, is so strong though. Blackwing Technician and Blackwing Corruptors puts in some serious work. Technician laughs at Piloted Shredder, and Corrupters really deal with them well too.

Its definitely fun, for sure

Lol, oh hearthstone, you never cease to amuse me

Yeah I’m not bothering with rend. I think I’ll be cutting volcanic also, I think the 4 health is the deal breaker. It’s a shame because when it works it’s great, but too often it’s dead.

I really like the look of dragon warrior, too.

cashed in some quest gold and did an arena, got a shit deck and got slaughtered in three awful rounds

get a legendary (Toshley) in the reward pack as a consolation

That’s the same for most people. For some reason you tend to get better packs if you do horrible in Arena.

I played a lot of Dragon Pally today…

I think its just not good. Still need to try a few more severe tweaks… Its like, the main reason for playing pally dragon is consort, to get a 2 mana discount. Then you have to make that 2 mana really count, which is hard to do. You can get a 3/5 on turn 3… but then what? Its hard to make it valuable, it makes 1 trade then dies easily… turn 4 you can’t run hungry dragon unless you have a way on board to deal with it (likely the turn 3 technician), which ok now you’re ahead on turn 4 with a 5/6.

How do you close it out? With a turn 5 5/4 that can deal 3 damage… nice swing temp, but now it dies to so much.

Its like, I can eke out an edge midgame, but then I have no way to come back and close out strong… definitely needs tweaking for sure

Dragon Pally will be fine if the game switches back to midrange-control rather than face-midrange meta.

Also, Blingtron is not being a bro right now. 0-5 on decks with him in.

I got a 12 wins run in Arena, the mvp was Mad Scientist, a total rockstar, I got 3 of them, the 11th victory was so close against rogue( I got rid of his micro machine on turn 2 unstable portal>SI7 Agent:

And the rewards!

I’ve lost a grand total of 1 game against Dragon Pally…as a Mill Rogue that didn’t draw any of my Milling cards. So far it seems very underwhelming.

@Korbidon Blingtron tends to give me really bad weapons compared to my enemies, but normally it doesn’t matter as I use him either as an endgame piece or a Weapon of Choice ruiner.

Rogue does really well against Pally, because of sap. Oh, you played hungry dragon? Sap. Whats that, chromaggus? Sap.

Plus, since they dont run a lot of creatures, we dont get to use our cost reduction cards efficiently (like solemn vigil).

Of course they do have a problem with Nef, because they can’t sap him lol. We run weapons so cards like deadly poison just give me a 7 attack truesilver!

Overall I think I won my last one in a war of attrition, double healbot + lay on hands allowed me to just outlast him, and a timely consecrate solved my voilet teacher problem

So I’m pretty terrible at Grim patron warrior. I don’t quite understand when to hold for combos and when to push the board.
