In arena it’s pretty fucking dangerous when your opponent has a bit of board control. 7/6 for 5 mana is huge. It’s worth the debuff if played right and occasionally your opponent just goes out of his way just to clear it. Like trading all his minions, wasting a big removal etc…

So yes, I want to win, but I also don’t want to just use the cards that everyone else uses. Where’s the fun in that? The whole point of TCGs is to come up with interesting combinations, right?

Now this is a creative deck. Where saps become assassinates and vanish becomes twisting nethers or equality+conc .

I drafted an arena Mage that has 5 flamestrikes and a Pyroblast. Basically I just need to stay alive until turn 7

I started using Venture Co. Mercenaries myself for the reasons stated above. The drawback isn’t that bad considering how fast the opponent will want to deal with it.

That’s what I want to see. I think I’ll try to build a deck like that, but I don’t have some of the cards he’s using. I said before in this thread that I used to have Magic decks that forced players to discard cards.

So I have been playing Hearthstone the past few months (haven’t touched Magic The Gathering at all–intentionally) and recently checked up on MTG again–i’m sorry, MTG still gets me way more excited than Hearthstone! Not that Hearthstone isn’t fun (Easier to play and less expensive) but the interaction in MTG is SO UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING! Hearthstone needs that little something extra.
