Its actually Voltron, hence why it summons V-07-TR-0N
@blufang may I ask what you donât like a bout secrets?
I for one really love them as a mage player, the one thing I didnât like before was the strength of Flare, only hunterinos being able to simply remove secrets.
Making hunters insta-concede thanks to Kezan is so lovely. <3
Looks like in the new build, the announcement was lekaed. New Adventure, naxx style, focusing on Molten Core!
Molten Core contained Rag, so maybe a new rag legendary?
Excited for next weeks announcement
Donât know if it is a new Rag legendary or card back from the information.
As long as it doesnât replace current Rag Iâm cool, worked hard for that. If I can double up Rags for fiery romance thatâd be a winner.
Maybe the cards will make Core Hound and Fire Elemental not suck.
Its a cardback, but Rag is the boss of Molten core, so heâll be the last fight. Maybe he just wont have a new legendary card.
I can see them doing alternate rags, though. Other card games do this. More than likely he will just be the last boss and not have a new legendary card named after him.
If they go with the blackrock angle, we should get more Nerubian egg type cards, as it was the place where Leeroy Jenkins took place
Unfortunately I only really did MC one time in wow, we were a smaller guild so we did ZG mostly before TBC. We did raid it once and had fun, but getting 40 was too much for us. The 20 mans were more up our alley.
But expect lots of fire creatures, and elementals
FORM BLAZING SWORD!
I only ever did MC after achievements were put in place (never raided in vanilla). So itâs all just a blur to me. They could do something else instead of a rag card.
I wonder if UBRS or LBRS will be part of it? That could add a lot of fun stuff.
I was reading, that place had like 3 dungeons and like 3 raids, theres a ton of content to tap intoâŚ
Also this is only mildly hearthstone related, but I made this picture for another forum where Annoy-o-tron is my avatar and I figured Iâd share it here lol
Spoiler
I wouldnât mind a neutral 9 or 10 cost Rag that replaces your hero and power with the Firelord. That would be a fun way of handling it.
Mostly I just want Elementals to have their own type now, similar to Mech and Pirate.
Then next build up Dragons since a lot of types are underutilized.
I really want dragon synergy, elemental synergy would be awesome as well. Anyways I hope they announce the release date soon, so with that I can know when to stop buying packs/playing arena and just saving my gold for the adventure.
Secrets are a part of the game, and should be. I just personally find them annoying. You have to figure out the secret, and you have to play around it, sometimes there is no way to effectively do that.
Since most copy/paste figuring out secrets is pretty easy.
About all you see normally are:
Hunter- Snake, Explosive, and Freeze.
Mage- Mirror Entity, Duplicate.
Freeze mage mixes it up a bit with barrier and block, no sane Paladin runs secrets.
Well yeah youâre right, it isnât so much the figuring out since the choices are pretty limited though Iâve seen just about everything from mage. The dealing with it effectively is the annoying part.
Letâs say a hunter puts up a secret. If it is freeze one of your minions is gone forever and it triggers when your minion attacks anything, now sure youâll use your lowest value minion on board but that could still be very valuable. If it is explosive and youâve cleared the board you only have the face which will kill all your minions with 2 or less health on the board. If it is snake trap and they have a juggler out, you are screwed unless you go all face in which case youâve probably screwed yourself anyways.
I usually dont have that issue, hunters are pretty predictable in what traps are what and you just have to minimize and deal.
After about four-six turns the typical hunter runs out of draw, and just playing around some of the nuisances early isnt a big deal.
If its freezing I just use a damaged minion to replay, snake is whatever if they have a naked juggler, and I usually keep about three minions out until explosive is burned.
Unless you get shit hand and draws just wait them out.
You probably know all this just donât want some people thinking secrets are all doom and gloom.
Hereâs the thing about secrets, even if they are predictable, they tend to be very, very strong cards in their own right, especially the hunter ones.
A early game freeze trap can just be GG.
Sane logic can be applied to a early mechwarper drop that cannot be answered, which outside of Mage and Warlock is a real struggle to deal with, and that is before they put a Annoy O Tron out with it.
Its a card game, you have to learn how to adapt and deal with this stuff unless there is something inherently wrong with the system as a whole.
As is secrets are strong but they have never been a auto win condition unless I just have shit card draw and board control. Same canât be said about other popular cards, and experience dealing with them has helped my yomi tremendously.
Right now I would just want a mechwarper one health less or one cost more Nerf. Another weird issue I see more and more often is the Dr. Boom, BGH, Dr. Boom counter meta.
Whoever plays the boom first is usually screwed. Since the second person can BGH the boom and drop their own fresh with its own set of bombs. BGH will likely die but not boom unless they also waste removal, which means less mana to build back the board control.
I would say BGH could use a one cost more Nerf, Iâd still use him myself. But I donât think that will necessarily solve this really weird but interesting removal and legendary meta happening currently.
Boom himself getting a Nerf I donât think is really necessary. I can count on one hand the amount of times he has actually done something, and its more of me using him as a removal drain with the added perk of RNG bomb tokens right now to play other cards safer.
Also Foe Reaper in Control Warrior, oh my god its amazing.
I donât think secrets are too strong or need to be nerfed, just a personal thing. Some people donât like weapons, some donât like aoe, etc.
I definitely donât think BGH needs to be nerf, it is very specialized and could be useless in many matchups. Its stat distribution is as it dies to 1 drops.
I think Dr Boom could use a nerf but Iâm no expert, yet he is an auto include in every deck and even BGH which is the best counter and so prevalent nowadays doesnât deal with him effectively. There is no way to deal with Dr. Boom effectively, you lose out every time value wise. Not to mention the 9/9 stats (in separate bodies), with a possible pyroblast worth of damage from the boombots. He also in the only representation of straight up power creep in the game.
Still will let the experts at Blizzard with all their data analysis and such make that call.
BGH isnât that bad to me, just thinking about it it feels really strong for the cost.
The cards I can compare it to off the top of my head are Crush and Shadow Word Death. Crush needs to have a damaged minion on your side to be a good comparison. In either case you are simply doing removal whereas BGH wraps it up with minion value on top of that.
The cona are death can just kill something 5 attack or up outright, and Crush can kill anything while BGH is specific to seven attack or up minions.
Iâve come to expect BGH at this point myself when I play something big, bit he still gives you tremendous value for three mana if he is allowed to go off.
I donât think he needs a Nerf, but with all the outcry I could see one down the road.
Double post but fudge it.
Play a mech rogue, donât get fiery win Axe. Chow and taskmaster take care of one warper then he clears to another.
Iâm twiddling my fingers, play my sludge to buy time. Runs shredder into it for another mechwarper after iron sensei buffs the other to a 6/7.
Yeah I donât feel that bad conceeding right about now.
Yeah I think the big thing with BGH, is the if. Crush, shadow words will always go off and be useful in just about every matchup. A lot of aggro decks there will be no target for BGH as before dr boom they usually seemed to run zero 7+ attack minions, now they have a boom and thatâs it. I also think the outcry and how common BGH is now, is actually due to Dr. Boom. If there wasnât a dr boom, BGH would be much less popular (though certainly still used). I think Dr. Boom, makes BGH a must include especially for some classes who donât have good removal.
I do have 2 BGH though, so if it is nerfed, that is a lot of dust. I am missing a lot of cards.
The problem is, people donât run 7+ attack minons BECAUSE of the BGH. It makes a lot of really cool, fun cards dangerous to use, and it makes a 6/7 better than a 7/7 which is just silly
Kibler explains it best (Not sure if this was posted yet?)
The best solution I saw was to switch Hemets ability with BGHâs
