I actually just dislike the Boom Bots for the massive amount of variance. Hits one random opponent upon death with 1-4 damage can be such a difficult thing to plan around.
However, if I can afford to, I just normally murder/remove the good doctor himself, and then let my opponent deal with Boom Bots. Say I have a Belcher out, or I can just take a potential 10 damage to wherever, like when I play a Weapons/Oil Rogue.
Yeah I donāt care about Dr. Boomā¦whatever a 7/7 war golem. However the boombots which can add a pyroblast worth of damage, is ridiculous. First time ever Iāve actually had questions about a card being seriously imbalanced.
In this meta? Good luck with that. Iāve been having some major issues with all the sticky minions. I feel like if I donāt get a win axe vs a mage it might as well be an auto loss.
Edit: Iām not being facetious either. Good luck and if you find something that is consistent with the warrior, let me know.
If I do I will, I want to make my own control variant. Since like you said if I dont get win Axe or a early brawl on the abundant rush decks its usually GG.
I never like to just copy/paste so see what I come up with. Foe Reaper had been one interesting replacement.
I am trying combinations of shredders, bomb lobbers, and other gvg cards. I feel geddon is an absolute must, and Iām tempted to try double brawl. KT is nice but with a lower curve in just not getting huge value consistently. Might throw in Sneeds to get potential value⦠But that hurts the early game.
Stream of consciousness there, but thatās the spot Iām in right now, going in circles.
TBH I canāt really see the point of playing control at high ranks, you just kind of waste time.
Play aggro, get gold faster, rank up faster, then play control as you get to lower ranks and can gameplan more around the decks youāre likely to see there.
A couple of seasons ago when i decided Iād try to hit legend I ran from rank 18 to rank 6 playing hunter over 2 days, then played druid mostly to get to rank 3 or 4 before I got bored and decided Iād rather play more arena. The real game doesnāt really start till rank 5 or so.
Yeah⦠I actually went to make an oil rogue to do some ranking up, but somehow I doubt have violet teachers. Not sure how Iāve managed to get 0 of them.
I may just go face hunter for a few days at the start of next season to see if I can get to lower ranks.
I keep on getting distracted by other obligations. I get up to rank 8-10, but then I donāt bother to grind out the games to get up that far. If only the ranks didnāt reset every month.
I get up to rank 17/16 or so and then dick around until I get my card back.
I run control because I like it, I run decks that I enjoy playing or created. Even when a deck idea interests me I usually just take the shell of it and build from there.
I never enjoy running the all the same win decks and I like to see how I can counter them.
Post my Murlocs later, even after all the asses Iāve beat with it in ranked and normal I donāt see anyone running it. Only shamans Iāve run into are mech trying to get zip o matic shenanigans
Nice. I think creating your own deck and playing it, seeing how it does is just about the most fun one can have with the game. I wonāt lie, sometimes my creations fail bigtime sometimes they do really well (though one can never tell unless they are in the high ranks against top competition) however it is all fun and a learning experience. I also get a kick of trying to make unusual or uncommon cards work.
Whether I go for legendary or not depends solely on the popular decks I might face.
Didnāt go for it this season, dailies in the ~5-8 region - or donāt really play at all.
Will strive for legendary in March once again, secret Mage once again.
Iām literally so close to putting a 2nd Kezan into my deck, god I love that girl. D :
So far the deck does really well even against Hunter, which is⦠nice.
