Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

I guess that vs the meta (hunter/shaman) it puts out something that has to be dealt with immediately. If it eats removal, that’s one less worry for your threats. It’s a more defensive option than cairne, and definitely worse vs other classes.

I’m just trying to figure why he added it. It’s won me a game vs hunter, and lost me a game after the spawn was stolen by a cabal. In every other situation I’ve played him, I’d rather it have been a cairne. I’ll probably start next season with hogger, and switch back to cairne at some point.

Geddon on the other hand completely stole a victory from a shaman for me earlier. First time I actually drew him too.

Sjow is also the undisputed king of control warrior. Dude makes every matchup look easy.

And it bothers me because I’m struggling using the deck. I’ve got to get better at recognizing my options and playing a little slower.

He put it in specificly not to get boned by Freezing trap, just happened to be good enough in the other match ups as well.
Fuck Freezing trap

I’ve played control warrior without Alex, and it’s not really. Alex is a great safety valve in a pinch and obviously can put you in a great shape to win suddenly, but the overall threat density and power of the deck means that your threats are sort of nebulous in value. Anything that will win or almost assure the win within a few turns is about equally as valuable.

I think before naxx it was more valuable, but you have more options to go to the face now in the midgame and can actually get in racing situations when your opponent stumbles.

I had plenty of games where by the time I would have had Alex mana my opponent was already at 18 or 20.

I use him in my token druid deck. He gets pretty good value, especially late game. Even better if I can get Kel’Thuzad on the board with him. The main thing is that I typically want to play him when my opponent has one or fewer minions on the board. If people burn their Soulfires, Eviscerates etc. to kill him, that’s pretty good news for my Kel’Thuzad, Sylvanas, shades, violet teachers, etc.

I only think he’s good if you play him with Belchers, they usually soak something that they’d want to use against Hogger especially aggro decks.

Isnt Belcher and Loatheb auto include in every deck nowadays basically?

edit:

Had armorsmith, acolyte, and double frothing on the board. Opponent played pyromancer nova. dont think he thought that through very well, and insta-conceeded lol

Ggs Kim, thanks for kicking my ass

LOL, ggs. Especially that Priest Warrior 45 minute game

Geddon has been working out pretty well so far. In no situations so far would I have preferred Alex in my hand, but it’s admittedly a small sample size ( less than 10 games).

I also made the horrible mistake of using Harrison against LORD JARAXXUS and drew myself to death.

Opened up a golden bane of doom (aka 400 dust) and a cenarius in a pack yesterday. If only I had some ancient of lores I might try out a ramp druid.

Popping mirror entities with zombie chow vs aggro mage as deathrattle priest

yaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Why do I always run into that one motherfucker on ladder that plays MC tech?

I think they’re slowly getting into certain meta decks. Forgot which.

This was a dumb priest deck though. Felt like I was playing against a Shaman, you know losing the game to a 1/4 flip and being really salty about it.

Always assume the MCT until proven otherwise.

I almost lost to shit brawl luck. Dude had out Sylvanas, and I had out a Savannah Highmane, Haunted Creeper, Sludge Belcher and Leokk. Brawl leaves Savannah alive, the tokens are made (since Sylvanas was played last), and the ho steals my Highmane. Much salt.

Reached rank 6 last month, now I’ll try my luck in laddering hopefully I go far
