Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

Ladder was pretty fun this morning. A lot more control decks than usual… Very refreshing.

Good ol control.

I ended up stopping at rank 7 this month with a lazy mid-range’ish Hunter with a Gladiator’s Longbow for the surprise factor. Feasted heartily on slow decks, and had pretty good matchups against zoo.

I bought another 15 packs and got 2x ice block I needed. Really need alex, and thalnos, for my mage. I’m running the old school twilight drake/ mountain giant version lol with no alex

I wont spoil the details of the last match and honestly, its worth the a full watch. Even if its like a hour and a half.

Ah I need to watch that when I get home! I watched for a bit, up until someone 3-0’d with a freeze mage. Such a fun tournament.

Cards I’d like to see explored in the upcoming expansion:

Minion which causes Death Rattles to cost 2 more mana to play (like the current Battle Cry version)
A mini loaetheb (2/2 for 3 mana that causes spells to cost 2 more on opponents turn)
Minions which cannot attack, but instead have an activated ability (0/2, activate -> Deal 1 damage)
Minions which cannot be targeted with an attack (i.e. 2 mana 2/2, cannot be the target of an attack)
Spell Taunt mechanics like spellbinder (Grounding Totem 0/2, when an enemy spell targets something, instead target Grounding Totem)
Taunt Bypassing (2/2 tunneling: can ignore taunt)

Hero Buff Mechanics,
Warrior: Iron Skin, your Hero gains a permament 1 armor at all times
Mage: Arcane Insight, Gain +1 spell power
Rogue: Stealth, your hero cannot be the target of spells

Hero Debuff Mechanics
Crippling Poison: Whenever a source deals damage, it deals 1 extra damage
Slowed: If a hero attacked last turn, it cannot attack this turn
Stunned: Hero cannot use their hero power

And to go with it, a new Purge keyword, that can remove hero buffs/debuffs
Cleansing Priest: 2/2, battlery: purge target hero of all buffs/debuffs

Something to shake up the gameplay and give each class multiple viable options

I watched the whole thing last night. Harrison Jones OP. I’ve been using it on my warrior deck and wrecked people’s lives who uses Hunter with it.

Trying to do my 5 win Warlock daily on NA without Naxx cards, lost 3 times in a row to the infamous Shaman 1/4 into 1/2 flip on turn 5 each time…

I have a 5 win and 2 win for warlock, so Im trying to double up, using my shitty handlock (no jaraxxus, missing 1x molten giant). And man I had like 4 wins in a row wtf lol at rank 17 no less

Baron has been worth its weight in dust. I’m very happy with the decision to craft it. He wrecks shaman and hunters.

The only problem I have is if I have both baron and hogger in my hand. It can get a little clunky. But those 2 cards eat removal all the time, which makes sylvannas, ysera, and rag so much more deadly.

So there should be some new news on the expansion this weekend? And the world championships should be awesome.
