I dont see it as that big of an issue, its not like botting/ais in something like a RTS or a FPS. Here, they’re not able to do anything a non ai can’t do, so it’s irrelevant if you’re playing a bot or not
I’d rather play against bots, since they don’t BM.
I don’t like bots because I CAN’T bm them. Shaman bots won’t tell me that the Elephants will destroy me. No fun.

Seriously, if I knew someone who did that I would punch them in the mouth for being such a fucking loser.
They need to change the dragon, Nozdormu or whatever, to have an actual useful effect. The master of time needs to do better than make you play faster.
Now it made me double think all those players that has golden heroes. You must like that class too much to play them forever
Bots in general is just killjoy for me. I go on to play against people because I enjoy it. Bots don’t look through their cards after being on the receiving end of a strong play, they don’t try to act smug before throwing down their heavy hitters, you don’t get any of that player interaction at all from a bot lol. Even the assholes that try to run the timer can get shook at least.
Also I like trying to guess what cards they’re holding on to when they highlight them often. A generic bot doesn’t really give you that.
It’s likely that some of them want to sell the account since being within Legend is worth something and there are buyers out there that would be interested in something like that. Similar case in WoW where players would sell their accounts if they were Glad/Rank 1 in arena, except you can’t really bot in those cases but there were plenty of cases of exploits. Those accounts would go upwards from $500-$1000+ and there were a fair amount of buyers that would bite for the title or the mount, well before when the demand was much higher.
Easiest way to identify one the more common bots:
• The play rhythm is always the same, takes exactly the same time whatever it does
• It plays mana perfect. Not always the smartest/best plays
• Some have priority on enemy hero, once you have taunts you see the same arrow movement pattern over and over
• Usually doesn’t care about own hero’s life. Hi @ Flame Imp/Lifetap etc.pp
Decks are usually, as mentioned earlier, zoolock/Mrglglglgllock and rarely(?) Shaman.
Started this season’s ladder run on a hunter, my worst class. By far. We’re not meant to be.
Midrange is fun, deck w/o any traps or Eaglehorn… but boy, I love my Webspinner.
So far only Scavenging/Maexxna/Scar/Stranglethorn/Kodo draws.
Creeper/Webspinner are a blessing.

The only BM I can’t stand is timer stalling. I have a short time to play, when people pull that stuff it drives me nuts.
I don’t pay attention or turn off the volume if they are emote crazy.
Can’t wait for the upcoming wing. Finally going to invest in a priest deck… annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd ill probably have to find a deck to counter the influx of priests.
Just run 2x Mass Dispel and 2x Shadow Madness if you really want to win the priest mirror.

edit Having fun with a secrets mage deck i made up based on my experiences with duplicate in arena. Not exactly optimal or anything might swap out black knight since it’s likely not needed, maybe 2x sunwalkers and trade it for cairne and TBK but it’s fun. Might try to make a molten giants variation.

Basically the entire gameplan is to just annoy the fuck out of my opponent and make plays based on if i got duplicate or counter spell from mad scientist and depends on the matchup.
•Trading with argent commander with duplicate on board is legit
•turn 4 Ethereal arcanist with Counterspell on board can be VERY disruptive. Especially if i got board control due to trading the mad scientist with a 1/2 drop or from using Kirin Tor. Usually the 5/5 buffed Arcanist gets immediately answered with something like a hex/poly and then boom, wasted turn for the most part.
•Replaced cairne and TBK with 2 sunwalkers. I’m annoying the shit out of control priests. Lots of 4 attack minions *Kirin tor on my side on turn 3 with board control is actually pretty threatening. Trades well with the new Dark cultists and outside of smite range.
I played against a rush warrior vs my mid range war this morning. It was so weird. It took me a while, but I got board control with 10 health left and he just bailed.
That patchwerk fight was real fun, and grob seemed interesting too. Didn’t have time to finish the fight, excited to get to it tomorrow
