He Loves You - The secret invasion of the Super Skrull thread

  1. It is DP + two attack buttons.

  2. It is QCB + attack button

  3. You do the Skrull Torch after the ground bounce from Tenderizer.

I’ve completely avoided all mvc3 discussion (I assumed pre launch talk would be like what happened in sf4 forum) but I’m curious to ask what does skrull play like? any videos that show off what makes him worth playing would be appreciated.

SKrull hard to explain but has good reach, a little slow without air dash. He pretty much works like this.

Combo/Command Grab xxx L Tenderizer xx Inferno or flaming torpedo. The Low tenderizer hits them while they are down doing a good amount of damage and sets up OTG for his level 1 hypers.

Where does The Invisible Woman fit into his gameplay?

pushblock and blocking animations…

I know the assists are listed several posts above this one but is there any video of all three assist for Skrull?

Do you guys see Skrull being more of a point character or an assist character?

Alright, Skrull thread needs an overhaul, who wants it?

Im curious, how is “He loves you” akin to “God is great”?

I’ll do it if it is ok

Question on his command grab if anyone knows.

So there are three versions:
-Short
-long
-AA

If you use the long version from close range, will you whiff (reach behind or something)? Just curious, if there is a point to using a grab with shorter range if the alternate can reach much further.

Please enjoy the new improved Super Skrull thread.

Skrull/Phoenix Reset Loop

Has anyone else discoverd this? Basically after landing an Elastic Slam you can do the following and i believe its unstoppable and requires no meter.

Dash in -> Phoenix(3rd assist I believe)->Piledriver-> once the assist hits dash in-> crouching M -> Heavy Elastic Slam on the reset. Rinse and repeat.

The trick is to piano the dash and phoenix assist so that the assist hits right after the piledriver OTG. I don’t have the proper recording devices but if the instructions above don’t make sense I can find a way to record it. The only character I’ve tested it on so far is Magneto.

The assist is the one that brings up the bird shield thingy.

Can’t they air tech forward or air dash/double jump out?

Trish’s Hopscotch assist has similar properties to Phoenix’s ground trap assist, would this work with her too?

when you say “piledriver” do you mean, meteor smash? Cause I cannot find a skrull move called “Piledriver” :\

edit: is it :d: + :h: ? seems others are referring to that move as piledriver…hmm

Turns out this doesn’t work the way I thought but It can be a decent reset if the opponent doesn’t expect it. Yes I do mean the down H.

Turns out you can air tech this up forward but not backward.

Isedelica Loop help?

Hey, if anyone out there has this one down pat… i’ve got some questions and would like some help:

I understand you have to air dash after doing AIR :s:, now… when i hit the ground (both hits connecting of course), i have to dash in and :s: again… this is where i have my trouble with the loop… should i be wave dashing? cause i never feel like the :s: gets off in time, and they end up falling before i can reach them and hit them with the :s: .

if anyone’s perfected this, and has it down pat, and could help me with it, i’d be infinitely grateful… thanks.

Edit: I also have tried wave-dashing, to no avail, same result.

It’s a regular dash but it cancels into an attack. The timing is a little tricky at first.

When the Skrull Smash hits (:d: + :h:), dash as soon as possible with :atk: :atk:. After that, you’ll want try to cancel that dash into an attack as soon as possible (in this case :s:).

:l: :m: :h:
:s: :a1: :a2:

With this button layout, I just hit :l: :m: and slide my :l: down to :s: quickly. If I want to get a :m: to hit after the Skrull Smash, I simply just hit :l: :m: and then quickly hit :m: again.

Dashing with S is pretty easy… just remember to input the S early enough, since the dash gives you momentum.
I dash with f,f BTW

Can someone type out or point me to the entire loop please?

Also, a question about wave-dashing. What exactly is it’s purpose besides making your character look funny? I figured out how to wave-dash but I have no idea when or why to use it.
