By the way, is it only one match, per match-up? Or do you get to play your opponent 2/3 (2 rounds to win match, 2 matches to win match-up)? I’ve never played a PSN HDR tourney, so I’m not sure if that’s already built in. It just that the usual rules would be the winner has to keep the same character, but the loser can choose a different (counter) character, and so on.
It’s gonna be 1 match, best of 3 rounds. If a majority of ppl signed up vote to have best of 3 matches, then that’s fine with me. My vote is 1 match.
No counterpicking unless a majority of ppl signed up vote to do so. My vote is no counterpicking. Win or lose, you stay with the same character. You can only change characters in a new match.

I say best of three match if single elimination, if double elimination just one match…just my two cents 
Double elimination might take too long. Let’s keep it simple for the first tournament, if it even gets off the ground, and if it’s a success, we can go to double elimination next tourney. But yeah, maybe 3 matches is better for single elimination…I’mma stick with my vote for now, we’ll see what the rest of the peeps say.

I would vote, best of three matches, and traditional character-switching rules, like in the arcade. It’s just been beaten into me. It makes matches more interesting. This may not be a big deal to people who pick well-rounded characters, but there are some pretty drastically bad match-ups in this game.

Alright, we got a full sheet. Rugedman, thanks for volunteering as a backup. Kendrick, you didn’t specifically ask to sign up, so I assumed you were just posting. If more ppl wanna sign up, please do so. There’s still a whole day before the tourney starts, and a 16 player matchup would be even better!! And if there aren’t enough ppl, at least you’ll be already signed up for the next tourney. = )
Since not everyone has voted yet, and I think the majority want more than 1 match with counterpicking allowed, that’s what it’s going to be. If you disagree, post a comment.
If any disconnects (or other problems) happen during the first match, please restart the match. If it happens during the 2nd or 3rd match, the results of the previous matches still stand, just replay the 2nd or 3rd match. If too many disconnects occur, say more than 3, the matchup is invalidated, both players will be passed over, and your next matchup gets a free pass to the next round.
We’re gonna communicate by text on PSN. I’ve done the random matchups (names from a hat) and posted the first round. If you don’t have your 1st matchup on your friend’s list, please add them before the tourney.
