Also i got a question, is this a main character tournament, or it is ok to counter pick?? if its ok to counter pick, im going to enter USING RYU, im not good with Ryu, but i dont want to lose miserably to any Sumo Wrestler. :sad: LOL just Joking.

Ok, the first tourney was cancelled due to ppl not being able to join. True_Old_School was able to join, but he was the only one. Others were getting “room full” error messages. Plus a couple didn’t show up. But it was cancelled anyway so nevermind. I ended up creating 4 different rooms with different settings, and a couple of my ppl on my FL made it as well as some non-SRK ppl, but others were still getting error messages. I think it had more to do with server traffic than buggy issues.
But anyway, if anyone wants to try again tomorrow, I’m starting another tournament. Hopefully the traffic will be less in the afternoon than the evening. Eto, Akuma will not be banned and there is no counterpicking, unless a majority of the signed up ppl vote to have it that way.

Question: Wouldn’t it be a better idea to hold the tournament ourself (ie not use the tournament mode)? Example: First 12 people that sign up get in. The host (So you blitz if you did it for example) will randomly match up everyone, and it will be best of 3 rounds, or best of 3 matches. Then we report the victor here, and after all victors for round one are determined, move on to round 2 and so on and so fourth (I’m positive that this is either called seeding, round robin, single elimination, whatever, but honestly I NEVER learned which is which 
Never bothered to ask).
Anyways just my suggestion, since it seems like it’ll be hard to get everyone together in a room since it’s buggy?
Thanks Greench, that’s not a bad idea. I’m already having a lot of fun playing against SRK’ers like you and others. If someone were to organize an online tourney though, I would definitely get behind that.
We’ve done tournies like this on SRK before. Not using the tournament bracket, just everyone playing matches with each other, individually, and communicating wins and losses. It works out pretty well. I think the last one I did was on GGPO? We did one on XBL, for third strike, too. It was pretty fun.
i don’t see why other people need to be in the room during the matches… we’re all pretty friendly here and there isn’t really anything at stake… i wanted to participate as well but i was at an OFFLINE hd remix tournament lol
Alright, if anybody’s still interested in a tourney, this is how we’re gonna do it:
Say we have 8 players signed up. I’mma randomly assign matchups (names from a hat) and post them here. If signed up ppl are not on your friend’s list, add them before the tourney starts.
When the first round of matchups is completed, the winner will text me (most ppl don’t have voice chat, so we’ll go with text). I’mma randomly assign all the winners to matches, and whoever I text should create the room and invite the other player.
Once the tourney is over, I’mma post the results in this thread.
