HDR Wiki

This is very much a work in progress, it’s pretty much empty right now, but I plan on adding a lot more to it. I don’t have a lot of time to devote to the Wiki right now (it’s a miracle that I’ve come this far even), so I think the work will go very, very slowly. Hopefully other knowledgeable HDR fans will contribute and make it a work of quality. The SRK Wiki has always been a community effort, and I can’t do it by myself, so all contributions and suggestions are more than welcome.

For the first thing, I’m gonna focus on getting the frame data and the hitbox images up there. After that, I wanna add Thelo’s consensus matchup chart, all character matchups, strategies, etc, and a lot more stuff. As soon as the Wiki allows me to upload images again, I’ll be back on track. Next is the frame data. :tup:

I can definitely put some stuff from the Honda thread up, like Thelo/Megaman’s matchup synopses and his moveset analysis. What would be nice is a rip of all the HD Remix colors for the HD sprites, like the ST wiki has for each character for their ST sprites.

Agreed Mad King. I wanna see all matchup info, as well as HD sprites for each character’s colors, as well as an introduction, a summary of the overall Remix changes and a lot more. I’m at work right now, so I can’t upload anything to the wiki, but I’ll get on it as soon as I get home. Hopefully the Wiki won’t give me the same error it was giving me yesterday. = J

I also added an introduction and setup the character strategy pages, but they’re empty right now. That, plus a lot more, soon. whew = J

I’ll have to contribute the little I know about Guile… some of the stuff that was in the ST guile thread should be included…

There are some Feis way better than me here that can give what strats that they know to the wiki… we have to make this the best we can…

What’s the best way to help contribute to this blitzfu? Request our own Wiki accounts?

What I really want to see is the information in the character threads selected and edited into proper sections per matchup etc, so it’s easy to read rather than digging through the massive sprawling threads. I actually did this myself in text format for DeeJay.

Yes Remy, the best way to contribute is to request your own Wiki account, or post a link in here to a thread that you think deserves to be in the Wiki. I haven’t been working on the Wiki much other than adding EVO 2009 results. As soon as I get more time, I’m gonna add a lot more.

I got mine in a couple of days. And I didn’t post anything for like a month. I wanted to think about what would be the best way to do things, and also I was trying to learn the Wiki’s html, or whatever that language is called. It’s not that hard to learn tho, and this is coming from a guy who hates computer languages. = J.

I’ve been working on a T.Hawk guide for HDR that I’ve been procrastinating for a long ass time. It’ll be posted on GameFAQs when its finished. Blitzfu, you are welcome too use it anyway you want for the Wiki when its completed, so long as credit is given.

Added Ganelon’s tests Comparison of HDR Versions (PS3 & 360 & DC) . Added fireball recoveries and frame skipping sections by Rufus.

Besides the jump from 0 to 1, the number of skipped frames per 32 visible frame increases by 1 per turbo setting. So to match up with the other settings, ‘Turbo 0’ would be turbo ‘-5’.
The game runs the skipped frames, so you can’t miss because of skipping. However it doesn’t accept separate input for the skipped frames - my guess is that it uses the input from the prior frame.

Charge times are mostly 60 or 61 turbo 0 frames - that’s 48 or 49* frames at turbo 3. I haven’t tested Vega (claw) or Balrog(Boxer)'s charge times, but the only exceptions so far are Guile’s new super - possibly an input issue - which appears to charge in 58 frames and the scissor kick which takes 78 turbo 0 frames (58-59 frames at turbo 3).

*It may be possible to get this down to 48, but I don’t think it is.

So is the speed in HDR not anymore dependent on the stage, like it was in VST?

All of the stages are apparently identical gameplay-wise in HDR. (They also all have the same width.)

What does the “O” in between the dashes exactly specify? In Turbo 1 for example, you have the O between the 1st and 2nd frame. Does that mean it is possible for either 1 or 2 to be skipped? I thought turbo always skipped the same frames.

While I agree with you about gameplay being the same, I haven’t seen any evidence that stage lengths are the same for HDR. Since it’s based on the DC version, which had varying lenths of stages, Blanka’s being the widest and Claw’s being the smallest, I don’t see why HDR should be any different. Unless you know something I don’t.
