When you finish your match, the winner should send me a message over PSN to give me the result. I will then update the bracket accordingly and I will try to let you know who your next opponent is over PSN.

Branta, I’m gonna go ahead and add you for one good reason: this tournament is not so much about giving some people a tournament experience but more about bringing back together PSN HDR old timers and we have some very very experienced players. I’d much rather have an experienced player join to make things more interesting. You are IN! I insist.

I like the motivation behind this contest. HDR is Street Fighter perfection and the online scene is dwindling, thanks to SF4. Maybe this will bring back some of those who now play SF4, full-time.
I already mentioned that the tournament will last a week! So it doesn’t matter if you can play at all today, you have until Monday evening to play your first round, so no need to give up your spot
As for BeautyinViolence, someone told me in a different post that this tournament looks like serious business from the names of some of the participants and I said: “Oh this ain’t no joke brother. It’s for fun but I meant it when I said it was going to be an old timers’ reunion cuz SF4 really divorced everyone from HDR. Maybe this will bring everyone back at least once a week.”
That really is my intention. HDR is a classic and SF4 is only a temporary replacement for it. It’s only a matter of time before people realize how casual friendly SF4 is and how much more “technically raw” HDR is.
Hey mustain, can you add str8crazy87 to the mix? He plays against most of the guys here and wants in on the fun. He doesn’t post here at SRK yet. I directed him to this thread for rules, etc. He’s also sent you a message via PSN.
Oh yeah, str8crazy87 is awesome. Great player. If there’s no spot left, I think you could team him up where sir_papacha’s spot got ‘‘byed’’.
Added. He’s lucky too cuz Sir_Papacha has some hardware issues so he’s dropping out. str8crazy87 can take his place. I’ll update the bracket right now. Also, a couple of people pointed out that they’d like it if I could extend the tournament for an extra week. If more people want this, then the tournament will probably have to last for 2 weeks instead of one. I thought 1 week was lenient, but maybe I was wrong.
1 week is plenty of time. I don’t know what these peeps are doing that they can’t play one set over 4 days. On that note = ) , marcoxd’s FL is full, sent him a msg, no reply yet. If you’re extending the tourney to 2 weeks, is the deadline still Monday?
It definitely is no joke. I looked at the list and know that most of those guys are full-time HDR/ST players.
I told Moogleot that whomever gets to the next round has a hard road ahead of him! We’re both mainly SF4 players now, so it’s going to be a “fair” fight.
On another note, I hope this can inspire something like an “HDR day”, where SF4/HDR players are encouraged to play HDR for most of the day. This would certainly give hardcore ST/HDR players some variety of competition. (I see the same 5 names pop up in the GG’s thread!)

If it’s two weeks then the deadline would become Wednesday, BUT I do NOT want to go there because this whole thing will go to vinegar if we make it two weeks. Some people can’t play within a week but most people can and probably won’t take the tournament seriously if we make it two weeks. So I’m with you on this one Blitz. This is a democracy so unless more people want this to be a 2 weeks tournament, everything continues as planned. Congrats to VOLTECH and djmassif on their victories. The bracket is up to date. Don’t forget to send me a message on PSN updating me on the results when you finish your matches.

15th to 18th is not one week, it’s 4 days(unless I got the dates wrong).
we can’t make this thing a FULL week? you know til like next Friday(22nd)?
or at the very least 5 days(19th).
I might not have time this weekend at all, including Monday… granted I might get knocked off the first round but still would like to participate. 
One week to play the entire tournament, not just the first round.
