Ya, I peg me vs Megaman in drinking about 6-4 in my favor. But him toking up vs me is 10-0 in his favor. So, it evens out. LOL! Looking forward to Evo!
^ To be honest, I’ve found that there’s a sweet spot. For me, somewhere between 3~6 beers I tend to play more fluid and mix things up better. I’m less rigid and play less pattern based. However, it’s a give and take between fluid mix-ups and execution deterioration. At some point, I definitely go downhill with the quickness.
Still, its not like I take casuals at the end of the night at tournaments seriously. For me, it’s more about partying and having fun with my SF2 brothers than it is about proving some shit or something. Good times FTW!
Ah man I wish I would have gone to the NCR, I totally forgot about it I agree with Johnny I can hit a sweet spot with just a few beers (I think I proved that at WCW) or glass of wine but my execution starts to fade quickly if I go over my limit. But who cares when your having fun right.
Hey Fudd Thanks for the vids, it looked like you guys had a good time P.S. I need to fight this Jason Cole
So who’s going to the AZ for Devastation besides DGV? I’ll be there looking for some casuals after I take that prize money
A couple matches from ECT2 in HDR are up on the FADC youtube list. A couple with Thelo, a couple with Damdai playing Ryu, and a bunch of commentators who don’t know shit about HDR, with the exception of Damdai who should really turn in his card at this point and say he’s a convert…
That’s right Damdai, I’m jokingly calling you out! lol
I do enjoy the part though during the Thelo / Paul match right around the conclusion of the first round Honda v. DJ where some guy asks Damdai if Thelo plays SF4 and Damdai is like “Yeah… he tried Honda in 4, and it didn’t feel right, so he hasn’t given it the time.” and the other guy is just like “huh? Well… he should!” That’s when Thelo should have turned around and said “No thank you, I like games that don’t suck my will to live!” PS… good showing Thelo.
SSF4 is a kids game HDR is for the men I’ve been putting some time into it and my only motivation is to beat the living Shit out of these kids even though I really cant stand the game play. I do get some satisfaction when they tell me I’m pretty good and I reply “yeah but this game sucks, I’d rather be playing HDR”
OMG more lulz from the commentary on the ECT2 Grand Finals. This guy who’s watching doesn’t know what attacks are what. Seems confused by what Ken is doing. Literally says “I didn’t know this game had mindgames! I thought it was just pressing buttons!” Can someone tell this idiot WE INVENTED MINDGAMES??? At least Sanford was like “Nah man, there’s mindgames.” After that, its just a damn shame to see all these people who came in with SF4 and don’t know anything else…
Oh I know Sanford can play some ST/HDR. I hope my comment didn’t come across as attacking him, more so I was thanking God for him for at least educating whatever know nothings were commentating those matches… if you can do what Sanford does in Marvel, you can play anything… That man could probably hop scotch in style.
I’ll tell you what, I do appreciate them putting up some of those matches. That was good. When I host a tournament, I will personally do the HDR commentary and I’ll bring the hype.
I mean a live tournament not an online one. I don’t have the ability at the moment to take recorded videos and record my commentary over them… although that would be awesome with a good broadcast partner…
I’ve been thinking about it for a while. But if I were going to do something, it’d have to be big and it’d have to give back. In Indiana we have a world class children’s hospital, Riley’s Hospital for Children. I’ve thought about running a larger event with some help here in the midwest and maybe bumping up the venue fee or something to provide a nice donation to the hospital but that’s a way’s off.
But in short, yes, its been on my mind for sometime. Planning something like that, finding venue space, putting it together, would be work.
But rest assured, one day, the World Warriors League Tournament of Champions in Indianapolis will happen. Or maybe it’ll be called beatdowns for Riley or something, I have no idea, but I do want to do something like that. The nice thing about working to help a non profit for kids is you can usually get some form of assistance from larger companies that could use the good PR like a Lilly Pharmaceuticals or something.
Oh and one more thing, HDR WOULD BE ON THE DAMN STREAM WITH SOME REAL HYPE COMMENTARY! REAL TALK!
