Not really a full match vid, but I’ve been secretly capturing casuals player matches when I play with my very emotional cousin. I then made a compilation video with some of the more amusing highlights of him flipping out in party chat while he played against me or other people in the room on XBL. Didn’t pay too much attention to some of the gamertags, not sure if it features anyone from this forum.
For the record, the game engine treats getting hit by the Lightning Legs or the Hundred Hand Slap differently than blocking it. If you get hit, the moves don’t auto-combo and, as Thelo’s video points out, it doesn’t hit again until you’re in a neutral state. This is what allows for invincible reversal special moves to hit and/or escape those moves if they’re still going. On block, however, every hitting animation of the move makes contact, so there’s no opportunity for the opponent to get to the reversal block stun frame until they’re out of range of the move. This is easily noted by simply listening for how many times the move makes contact when you get hit by it versus blocking it.
By the way…this has been true since World Warrior. I’m kinda shocked you all didn’t know this.
So when I first heard this, I almost thought it had to be some sort of joke… but that kind of anger isn’t just something you ‘do’. That’s real right there… and that’s what makes it so lulz worthy.
For the record, I could only watch this in 60 second intervals otherwise I might have choked to death on my own laughter… Also, does he still have a voice?
wow. i died from laughter about 3 times during this ^^^
im not gonna lie…i make up new curse words playing this game sometimes ha ha. never ever screaming into the mic tho. it only comes out when im all alone and the match is one of those nail biters where you lose by a sliver of life.
There’s a lot of aerial and jumping Special Attacks that can be blocked low. In fact, there are only 4 Special Attacks that must be blocked high: Flying Kicks (CW), Head Stomps, Overhead Crazy Kicks and Sumo Splashes. Everything else can be blocked low: Air Tatsus, Air SBKs, Devil’s Reverses, Condor Dives, Wall Dives, etc. And except for Overheads like Guile’s f RH, all other Command Normals can be blocked low too: Drills, Knee Drop, etc.
