Correct, we played on PS3 (that’s why I think Sirlin missed some Rekkas, timing on that version is fucked up) in 4:3. We used 4:3 because Thelo and Sirlin had to play in the finals the next day.

Both Dark Gaiden and Vintage couldn’t find a comfortable way to situate the controller there.
They ended up not even playing Remix the next day during the official tournament because of that.

Ya I could see that. I still haven’t found a comfortable way to play at home. Nothing beats a stand up cabinet.

Prior to Evo, I haven’t touched a portable stick in over a year…trust me…there is a difference between playing on the floor/random chairs then using a stand you had built to your specifications. I applaud CigarBob for bringing his own cab. I wanted to bring mine, but it would have been way too inconvenient.

Oh no doubt man. I wish I could play standing (arcade style) but I don’t have much to work with at home. Right now I’m using a small table/setup that’s really half-assed. Watching the videos of your games, I could tell something was up with the way you were playing. You’re still the toughest I’ve faced on either platform

In this vid Nohoho does a crossup and Mavrick does psycho crusher and ends up getting hit out of the air. He lands right next to Blanka and throws him. Is this because of the reversal frame after getting hit out of the air by a non-knockdown move?

Standing there and doing nothing while an opponent you just hit out of the air is landing next to you has been a no-no since Champion Edition…if not World Warrior.
But that happened to me too and I mashed throw like there’s no tomorrow but always loose.
Maverick executed a wake up throw and threw nohoho out of his meaty. Nohoho was too close and a little late on his meaty. I don’t know what he was going for there but it appears to be some sort of crouching punch. It only sticks out for like a frame before he gets thrown.
Ya, this isnt SF4! There is a period of time (13 frames or whatever) that you can’t throw an opponent while they are waking up.
Omg I’m such a noob. Didn’t know these 13 Frames are after getting hit out of the air too.
And on these it seems that “Maverick” just OCVed the entire Midwest teams which had on it 3 very good and well known players. I have personally seen Wes Truelson and, NKI play and, there awesome. Is Maverick a new player or is it that I just never heard of him befro because i’m just out of the loop.

Recording that night made me nervous, and I only used fei like twice. I used ken mostly and lost mostly. To gnx’s bullshit chun li and enrichedwheat.
If I ever have time record again I’ll try to use fei, but I’m taking a small break for batman and school.
