I have yet to see anyone with the rage factor that old school Marvel brought out in people… I can’t remember the last time I was sitting next to someone who I thought “Man if I beat this guy, he might just kick my ass for real”. I’m not hating on MVC3 but the communities don’t compare “OH SHIT… THIS 8 year old is about to beat me down”.

The people that played MvC2 have grownup a little now, and maybe realize in their old age that fighting over a game is stupid. I’m sure if MvC3 was in the arcades and teenage kids were in there, then fights would break out.
But this is mostly conjecture since arcades don’t exist anymore. At least not like they used to.

I didnt actually see a fight for mvc1 but it was super close to happening, and I remember the extreme rage I had when I got dq’d from the mvc1 tournament. I hated “jeff” (spaceport worker) for months lol
