Has anyone come across this player?

I saw this video and wow I must say this Ryu style that he plays is so entirely differently imo. I mean he’s like the miniature version of poongko’s ryu, so fearless and yet mind fking somehow. These two are amateur levels but the ryu is something else that I believe have somewhat potential. Any other opinions about this particular ryu?

What amazes me is that when he’s playing vsing a sagat, yet some of the times he rushes in w/o blocking and i mean… you gotta block a sagats combo string or maybe he figured the sagat was scrub and was playing around with him maybe… lol but wow!!

Guys when watching this, i must say, you have to pay attention to the first round right about 0:59 - 1:03, lmao that is so wack in many ways.

That is one awful Ryu player.

^This.

I’ve fought Ryu’s 10x better.

The one on the vid is average. (and the online average is crap)

What’s worse is that the Sagat player is losing to him.

I hope poongko finds out so he can slap you for even considering a comparison.

my bad then, i shouldn’t be even comparing with poongko’s mad technical skills, lol but he plays so differently though, ive never seen something being pulled so RANDOMLY…

but hey, maybe he wasn’t trying as hard as he would so screwing up or not confirming his combos fully didn’t really matter much to him. What if he played that particular sagat but played seriously against others and probably better. No way an amateur would do something so random of that lol. I am quite interested only because i think his play style is really unique in a way, and it’s entertaining to watch too.

It’s unique because it’s horrible. Haha. You like this style because half of his attacks are totally random unsafe SRKs that never connect? Come on man. That guy is not good at all.

Random enough to win him rounds. o=

even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Hey, as long as it’s right depending at when you look at the time. It depends on which opponent you face and so we can’t all be so judgmental on this one or his ryu video.

It takes in most of the time, full combo hits etc to maximize dmg to increase the chances/percentage wise to win. But it would be unusual and skillful to outwit your opponent with just simple pokes/footsies and some random other shit and whatnot. Still win at the end heh…

Yeah against scrubs. I can do nothing but srk’s in a match and beat a total scrub, that doesn’t mean it’s a good way to play. If I was playing that dude I was punish the shit out of those random srk’s. At least 35% of his life bar would be gone every time.

but you compared him to poongko. the fuck is wrong with u man? :nono:

Yeah lol i realized what I have said and took back what I have said earlier already and now I will be apologizing to the sf4 community if I had ripped a whole in anyone’s heart and poongko’s fan. I realized and understood how fail it was comparing such contradictory and for example, comparing myself to Daigo and I don’t play Ryu at all?

well I did say it all depends on who you play and as long as you win.
Regarding to what you have said about punishing and what not, he still won.

I would still after many posts have to point out that this Ryu intrigues me with his “random” play of style and I would like to see more because it is very entertaining in a way in which I don’t see in any other Ryu’s game play that random nor does it take much randomness to win anyways.

Pretty much anything is possible, that’s if you’re skilled enough to pull it off… and when to pull it off but this guy… is for show LOL

I have never played SF4 yet so I’m a newb to SF4 in that sense…, but that Ryu player really sucked bad. There is nothing special about random SRKs, tornado kicks and jab/short combos, IMO.

You can’t summarize his level of play by only judging with only one of his vids with him being ryu. Though it was only a few mistakes or in any case. Yet again, it takes whatever to win from being cheap to random as hell, just anything as long as it produces the result of winning in that matter.

Again, I can’t argue much either since Ive been complaining about wanting to see more yet there is only one of his vids of him using Ryu so I’ll take partial of your comments into consideration. I would still like to see more in that regards even though he did miss few of his combo strings.

Hasn’t anyone here in the PSN network ever played this guy? I wanna know more and how the fight was and so on and if possibly any feedbacks lol. It’s like first watching poongko playing as ryu, you would want to see more coz again, i stress myself over and over coz it’s very entertaining and interesting haha.

why not? you did
:wtf:

Goddam that was a bad ryu lol…

I’d rape that Ryu.

i dont need to see anymore of his vids to be honest. ive seen a ton of SF4 vids and a ton of older street fighter game vids to know when i see a good player or not.

this guy was just a random scrub, nothing he displayed was good enough to be compared to a high level player.

are you new to fighting games? i could see how this vid can make a new player go wow but seriously this shit is garbage lol.

maybe the OP is the ryu.

yah im fairly new to sf4, just something out of the ordinary that i saw
