Not to be a dick, but I’m going to be a dick. There is a huge difference between playing instinctively and being random and getting lucky a few times.
That’s not being a dick. That’s just stating a fact.
Exactly. Daigo does random dps and hits people with them pretty often because they aren’t truly random. He does them when he thinks it’s likely that the opponent is going to try some attack, and he knows when those times are from his huge amount of experience. That is totally different from throwing out complete random dps that never hit anything.
Finally got a chance to see the vid.
Can’t believe you made a thread about dude, let alone even gave two thoughts about that match. Are you serious?
I’ve faced players just like him on a few occassions.
They’re nothing but blindly aggressive, trying to think that they’re the next Daigo. It didn’t look like he really had any logical reason for doing some of those FADCs - he was probably just doing them to make him look hardcore and intimidating… (oh… wow…).
I would just wait, bait and punish. The one thing I find with quite a lot of players in G2, is that they don’t know how to punish missed moves.
I’m also inclined to think they probably watched and copied too many Japanese matches featuring aggressive play. So they end up doing stuff, but they don’t know why they’re doing it.
lol @ how many times he was trying to get off the SRK > FADC > ULTRA combo in the 3rd round
My favorite part is the hadouken that was focus cancelled for… no reason whatsoever. Dude just likes to look flashy I guess.
probably was button mashing and hit that by accident. Fuck probably. Thats what he was doing. :arazz:
At least wasn’t just fireball spamming? I can’t say much though. I am a scrub too.
My sf1 Ryu is better than that lol. Its true he wasnt playing safe at all. My boy Rick played this ryu that was doing combos continuing off fireballs, looked flashy as hell. You should play him a little bit more so you can punished missed moves and get that aspect down. I wouldnt play him long tho cuz no one plays like him cuz they learn to be patient.
I would’ve been more impressed with fireball spam.
He did won though,But I was wondering when r u a good Ryu player?
I thought i was a average player but i really suck if i see some video’s on this community or Youtube…Wtf Can someone train me please send me invitation or Add me Psn Exvitermini23…
Thnx
Wow this ryu was good, he easily link his moves into shoryu!!
from the comments and such, i think so too that this ryu is bluntly doing ‘random’ moves or just being flashy… after all he did 11-2 that sagat if u watched till the end lol maybe he was fooling around??? So then his careless aggressive style leads into play which wow i do thought it was quite entertaining still lol maybe its just me heh
wow round 2 or 3 he did 2 focus cancels in 3 seconds… which lead up to nothing but a cross-up followed by combo. never seen a better spent super meter in my life.
Also “random style” could just be a person button mashing with some consideration of direction.
i don’t think mashing is a right word here… and preferably describing his ‘sense of logic’ would seem more appropriate rather than on his executions/performance wise because directional follows into one of the main factors in execution(correct me if i’m wrong).
He just plays differently regardless of how good or bad he is in general. I still have high hopes in this Ryu and if he improves his gameplay lol i’d just like to see more of it. And maybe hear some more from the SRK community if anyone has actually came across this player via the PSN. We’re all too based on just one match of his(which i don’t blame at all because there is only 1 vid of his Ryu).
why is this thread still open?
its for public knowledge for guests and members… so why not ? and if you were to argue back like you usually do… knowledge is pretty much anything in general really as of reading/learning.
This is the best Ryu i think ive ever seen. OP , awesome idea making this thread , we need to bring SRK’ attention to this beastly Ryu. Do you know him personally? Is it ok if I can get a signed autograph from this guy? Or tell him to add my PSN I could use some Ryu training. PS are you the Sagat player? because your honestly almost the best Sagat ive ever seen , but I think Mago is slightly better then you. Good shit
Flattery will get you nowhere in life kid.
