Jumbo Deal was most satisfying. I purchased 3 yesterday at around 9:45AM. The rest of the day was a blur. At one point, I had to visit the Group Health branch on Capitol Hill. But it was probably not related to the JiB food. Not sure whether it’s really a better value than 3 items off of the budget menu. But it’s about damned time that some place offered a drink-less value deal. Even better if they subbed the fries for a chicken sandwich or something. But that would be wishful thinking.
Is there any real meat in JiB tacos? Looking at the diarrhea tinted mush, I couldn’t figure out if it was supposed to be imitating beef or horse.
Most likely low grade shredded beef. Tasty low grade shredded beef, let us not get it twisted. I actually commend them for going this route, because we all know real tacos never have ground beef in them. Again, JiB is on some next level shit.

Seriously awful. The filling is a light brownish paste, minimal lettuce, some locations apply a kind of cheese while some skip that step entirely, and the entire thing is deep fried resulting in an oily sheen on the shell that gives me flashbacks to the Jheri curl days of yore. That said, they still appeal to my backwards immigrant sensibilities. 2 for $.99 can’t be beat. I’d do JiB taco matches against Pablo any day of the week.
Wtf? The deep fried part is the best part! And who cares about lettuce. Meat. No homo.
Question is, do they deep fry the entire taco with the lettuce? I would find it difficult to do this after the frying for fear that the shell may crack. Great, I won’t be able to sleep tonight because such a question will haunt my dreams.
