I know right? i’m about 30 min. away from hollywood where loads of tourneys go down, so i’ve heard. Lots of pros though. I go to an arcade and there are just a bunch of elitist staring at me when I get on the machines. A bit intimidating. :xeye:

I think there might be a couple of instances where the combo counter doesn’t turn black properly. But, yeah, no xbox to test my suspicions.

Someone should just hop in to training mode with all the quickest techs turned on and try it out. He attempted it twice, so it’s probably legit. But honestly, regardless of what anyone says, I’m going to be wary of it in till I can get my hands on it.

Oh god i just fought a terrifying litchi. Well she got me in the corner (yet again…)
and she saw in the previous round i was throwing out counters.
SO INSTEAD. she starts jumping back and dashing forward and whiffing throws.
Okay i’m sure you’ve all heard litchi’s weird (oh ho ho!) moan thingy majigger when she whiffs throws and air throws and what not.
anyway, the player did it SOOO fast. the sound was making me go INSANEEE so i just did a super counter and he combo’d me for the win D:

BUTT in the first round… i was down to 20% and she had full hp still.
I landed a 2d and then did 5c -> renka(1) -> zantetsu -> 5c -> zantetsu -> 2c -> jump -> 2c -> 2c and our hp evened out! and then i won from random pokes :3

EDIT: anyone know when your title as hakumen main changes to lion?
I just hate being called “ogre” it’s like wth.
My “sub” is arakune if that matters at all… :X

(I’ve only tried this on Ragna, so may only work with big chars)
(Corner) 6A>6B>214B(1 hit)>236A>(Wait until char flies over Haku-men’s head)5B>JC>j.B>JC>j.B>214B>JC>j.C>214C

Your pretty much gonna want to jump cancel in the 9 direction for the entirety of this combo, unless the 214C won’t hit, FYI
Think it does around 5K damage, and takes around 5 magatma’s, but not exactly sure.
Also, the 6A isn’t really necessary, but it cancels into the 6B, so if the your opponent blocks the 6A high, you can surprise him by canceling 6A into 6B, which hits low.
Overall, it’s a good corner combo, but there may or may not be better ways to spend magatma in the corner.
EDIT: 4r5, bring back the old avi, brown Haku-men FTW

butt if it does work you can skip out on the 6b since it adds uneeded proration. (renka > guren bounces just the same i believe)

Lol, yeah, I shoulda changed my avi when my Xbox RRoD’d on me about a month ago, but wth. When I say JC, I don’t mean jumping C, I mean Jump Cancel. So it’s 5B, jump cancel, j.b, jump cancel, j.b ect…
Yeah, I mean, 6B can really be substituted with any poke that links into renka, I just like to use 6B in the corner, people tend to not block it

k well it works but lemme just put out some pointers.
The renka isn’t very necessary. Either do 6a>renka or 6a>6b > guren <-- ignore
6a chains fine into renka
after the wall bounce 2c works instead of 5b.
after the first 5b and then jump cancel using 5c works to chain to hotaru.
I personally would stick with 2c x N but this combo definitely adds to cool points :3

EDIT: oh wait what am i talking about you need the renka for it to go over you. woops x_x

more edit: also while messing around with hotaru i noticed it’s a MUCH better launcher in terms of damage than enma is. it’s about 700ish damage difference i think

Just found out something else, if you do (Corner)5B>214B>5B>JC>j.b>JC>j.b>214B>JC>j.c>214C>falling B>5b>JC>j.b>JC>j.b
I think after that, your opponent techs out no matter what, or you may not have enough stars to launch them with 214B, but haven’t really put it through a ton of tests yet. Basically, I neutral jumped throughout the whole combo. When you knock them out of the air with 214C, right before Haku-men hits the floor is when you press B, which re-launches your opponent, and your able to hit them with 5B.

jesus christ that’s a long combo string that doesn’t have 2c in it :wow:
i wanna test it :3 ( don’t think i’ll get it that fast this time…)

EDIT: okay well after you re-launch 'em with 5b they automatically tech. ( i haven’t been able to land a j5b)
nevertheless though this is an awesomely fancy combo and i love whoring out B XD

but uh let’s see you could try this

B>214B>2c>JC>j.b>JC>j.c>214B>JC>j.c>214C>falling B>5b
but i don’t know how much this anchors on the tech window so… i’ll try it out a few times
EDITTT: okay i found out that replacing it with 2c and j.c does not affect the tech window
it totals out to 5194 dmg for 7 stars (blehh) but you get a bunch of cool points :stuck_out_tongue:

i’ve been playin around some more and i saw that
5b > renka > 5b > JC > j.b > j.c >214 C > falling B > 5b > JC > j.b
works. thing is i didn’t get past that part. i’m gonna continue messing around see what comes up…
though that combo above did 4700 or something already, so it seems promising :3

also on a side note. whenever i do j.b JC j.b it looks like hakumen’s posing for a model shoot and it makes me laugh and mess up :crybaby:

I think the last combo only works if your opponent techs a certain way, like if they quick recover or neutral recover it might not work. But still, it’s a good thing to throw out after the 214C just in-case your opponent DOES in fact tech the correct way for the falling B to connect.

Can I just say that I LOVE this Haku-men!
Dude doesn’t have the best execution, he frequently misses some Shippu opportunities(Unless he’s just trying to conserve meter) but the guy has UNPARALLELED mind games, and is VERY creative. I mean, using Tagers Magnetism against him in order to extend his dustloop combo??!?!?!

Easily my favorite Haku-men, more fun to watch than Buppa

Tager’s magnetism only actaully pulls you in when he uses certain attacks. Those combos worked not because of that, but because Tager’s hitbox is GIGANTIC.

what mind games are played? i’m watching this right now and still have trouble grasping what’s going through there heads and the games being played back in forth in their minds.
