Baiting out a EX Seismo isn’t really a matter of prognostication: You neutral jump, spot their reaction or anticipation, then maximize if you can. They could do a number of things that require reaction to take care of. Nothing really specific to EX Seismo.
EX Seismo is no more of a threat than normal seismos at full screen.
I think Grapplers have been stigmatized that they all will try to grab at any time when they’re close enough to try it. That is bullshit. When I play Hakan, I definitely do more normal throw attempts than command throw. I usually save command throws for punishment, or when oiled, for the more advanced and less predictable tick throw setups.
That’s not a stigma. In a Capcom game, that’s more like a DEFINITION.
Sure, you can rely more on normal grabs up close. But, that basically makes you a slower, gimped Viper with a huge hit-box. It’s not like she doesn’t have normal grabs and pokes, too. You basically end up fighting Viper on her own terms then, which sucks.
EDIT: I think Hakan’s problems with Viper stem from two simple issues:
-A lot of Viper’s offense is aerial. Hakan has difficulty consistently countering fast airborne attacks, especially on wake-up.
-A lot of Hakan’s offense is ground based (footsies, grabs, DNC). Viper has a single move that effectively counters almost all ground offense.
well I really had to grind to get up there, I’ve had numerous losing streaks and still do which keeps me in the same BP range for a while. I’m gonna guess it’s gonna take me a while to get to B+ but I’m not gonna give up because I keep getting losing streaks. so don’t give up, just learn the match ups and have fun.
you did beat me lots of times pretty good so I’m sure you won’t have a problem. so yeah I’ll stop chatting this thread up >.> good luck with your Hakan!
Great find indeed. Seems like the timing is kind of tight after the oil dive making it a bit more difficult to execute than I thought. And even if they can find a way to escape you still get a free jump in so it still has its benefits.
New clip for you guys including a match against a tough Rog and really tough Guile. One thing it proves is that you can’t necessarily go by BP’s to determine the skill level of your opponent.
Did you know you can ultra 2 DJ’s forwards kicks because you can if you didn’t know. I would also like to play you with my fuerte if you have xbox live.
Not really salty just shocked at first and then a brief moment of despair as I hung my head in shame upon the realization as to what had just happened :shake: Fortunately I managed to get over it quick before the start of the 3rd round.
