Hakan Video Thread: Ready for Action!

Yeah I tried it out via some lab work and no luck. And even if it did work the degree of difficulty would probably prevent it from ever being a viable option. I could definitely use some reps against Fuerte so I’ll make some room on my friends list so we can get some matches in.

another cody match

That’s funny because I did it to my friend on his wake up and it worked. He used the EX version if that makes a difference at all. I will need to erase someone off my friends list to add you so add me in like a day or two.

The very first match of this video made me feel better. With match after match of trying to get better with my Hakan and trying to get some more BP and experience, I play an Adon. Nowhere near as good as the one he’s fighting, but I have half life, a fantastic lead, and I catch him on a jump with Ultra 2. Only to get mix-upped, cross-upped nine ways to sunday and my jabs even oiled coming out slower than molasses pours out of a jar in january. Learned some interesting things though. Like sweet sweet buffering.

Wilcat VS Blanka

There’s some very nice use of FA.

The type of fighter we all strive to be.

Very impressive. Looking forward to seeing Wildcat repping Hakan on a tournament stream in the not so distant future.

Wasn’t Gen supposed to be nerfed or something?? Could have fooled me.

Nothing spectacular, but I wanted to show that there were people repping a little Hakan at EVO.

I got caught by random ultra during the second fight…that clearly wasn’t on reaction, since I was like an inch off the ground when he activated it. But, it’s all good. It happens.

There was another Hakan player in my pool, too. Though, I never got to play him. I got bored and left the tourney. Pool was taking way too long. I hate tourneys in general, anyways. Much prefer just playing and learning.

Pad warriors unite!

Aw, you missed a lv1 focus combo in round 3 I think it was.

And rofl, was the air throw to punish block random ultra for lulz or what? lol

LOL he’s nerfed to a degree where most of the Gen users from Vanilla no longer use him.

It doesn’t matter if it was ‘spectacular’ or not. You were repping Hakan! That’s the important thing. I don’t neccessarily blame you for getting bored, but I dunno how the big tourney pools work so. Nevertheless, it was good to see you wampa stomping one of my most hated characters. Two thumbs way up from me.

Did everybody get out their pad and pencil? If you did, you’ll see Longshot’s use of jumping short is exquisite.

I think I’ve watched that dude’s (stylz’s) replays on the replay channel before. I was like, “I bet this guy reads stuff at shoryuken.com” heh heh.

Decent Hakan from droms comics’ tournament: Drom’s Comics SSF4 Singles 21 Aug 2010 TOP 8, ssf4 dromscomics on USTREAM. Gaming Entertainment

It’s the first match. Air throwing Bison out of a psycho crusher was pretty great.

Sikwidit got put down. I am going to clown his ass tonight. Good shit to Hiro.

Yeah, Blanka’s ground recovery after ultra is SO short that I didn’t want to mess around with f+mp xx slide. I can’t count the number of times when I either hit a couple frames too early (reset Blanka into the air) or too late (he blocks and punishes). I had a good enough lead, and I didn’t want to give myself a reason to be pissed if I ended up losing beacuse of it.

If I were losing, I woulda gone for it, though.

I probably should done 360+HK, now that I think about it…

Lol, thanks.

Why 360K when you seemed to always have Super?

I can’t count the number of times I’ve tried to punish blocked blanka ultra with super just to end up whiffing instead… drives me crazy. lol
