Hakan Thread: I love my daughters, they are so pretty!

All Homo. Get it.

Would’ve preferred a suicide bomber, but he’s damn awesome.

Speaking of normals, the jumping kick he does in the trailer is the exact same as Wario’s foward air in smash. It is obvious Hakan will be Capcom’s Wario, as was already speculated…

Well, very Darun inspired, and it seems he can hit downed opponents or I am seeing things.

I would bear his children.

100% homo

And to think I wasn’t going to care about this character. Capcom got me. I’ve been sold. I’m not going to main him, but I’m definitely learning him. The perfect troll character.

Ok, so when i first watched this guy i absolutely hated him, mainly because I strongly dislike the turn towards the silly cartoony style that SSF4 is taking with some of the attacks, ultras, and costumes. Eg) Akuma’s tazmanian devil ultra, Zangief’s retard robot costume. This guy embodies that style somewhat with his attacks, but humongously with his super and ultras (at least his costume is cool, but I’m sure Capcom will make something retarded for his alternate costume like having him run around in a giant soiled diaper).

But now he’s grown on me to be tolerable. I think it’s pretty endearing that he has so many daughters; it kind of makes his character seem less like a joke and more like a real person, although he’s obviously still meant to be comical.

My one question is: Why is his hair blue? Is it even hair? It looks like it might be metallic or something. Does anyone know?

would be funnier w/ sakura, lol

Hakan he’s… BEAUTIFUL (His daughters are pretty too)

Good shit on the title change.

Okay guys,

I took a few notes watching the Juri vs. Hakan match. Here’s what I got:

without oil

jumping short or forward:
instant overhead? Hit Juri while standing on his way up.

neutral throw:
4 hits, throws opponent towards the side he’s facing.

jab/strong/fierce? bearhug:
two hits, there seems to be a dash before he actually grabs the opponent

slide:
not sure if it’s with kicks or punches, but goes a good distance. There seems to be a follow up splash afterward, a source has told me that the follow seems to be automatic, however in the match against Juri Hakan does not follow up with a splash.

low roundhouse?:
does a drop kick similar to el fuerte, but much faster and it knocks down.

focus attack:
decent range, comes out pretty damned fast for a grappler. Charges up to do a headbutt which launches himself forward a distance.

low fierce? command normal?:
looks similar to his focus attack, charges forward with his head. It seems to hit low.

backwards throw:
launches opponent far away

air lunge command grab?:
does the same as with oil, howeve does not seem as quick. Slips four times before lunges at his opponent, while EX he slips only twice.

oil douse:
effect unknown at the moment. Seems like it changes some properties of his normals. It seems that his backdash becomes godlike, or maybe it was already like that. Check 00:42 into the IGN video with Juri vs. Hakan.

super:
Hakan lunges at his opponent. It looks like it has grab properties.

with oil

standing short/forward?:
looks like Honda’s standing short/forward, but reaches a great length. Not very fast, though.

low roundhouse?:
similar as to the one without oil, but seems faster.

jumping roundhouse:
his jump seems very high, jumps in the air and lunges his lower body towards his opponent, like a body splash, except with your back. A back-splash I guess. DOES A HUGE CHUNK OF DAMAGE.

air lunge command grab?:
Only EX version was shown. Hakan tries to run towards his opponent with arms flailing in the air, but stays in the same spot as his feet are slipping from the oil. Slips twice before lunging at opponent. Then lunges at his opponent and launches both of them to the other side of the screen. Not sure if you can delay the lunge, or if it has any charge properties.

bearhug grab:
Can’t tell if there’s any difference. Interstingly enough, at 1:56 with his match against Juri he loses his oil after whiffing the grab.

I will be posting some pictures up to go along with these notes.
What’s most interesting is that he loses his oil after whiffing a bearhug.
His normals seem pretty solid, they do good damage as of now however they don’t seem as fast. They seem somewhat quicker with the oil activated.
Currently, it is hard to say what the effect of his oil is. We haven’t seen anyone attempting to throw Hakan yet. But it does seem that his normals are a bit faster when he is oiled up. What’s also interesting is at 42 seconds you can see Hakan perform a backdash, which is curiously quick and covers A LOT of range. This occurs when he has his oil activated, his backdash without oil doesn’t seem as good.

His air lunge where he slips on a ground for a few seconds seems gimmicky, if he has no control over how long he slips on the ground for.

That’s it for now.

Guile can learn a thing or two from this man…Eastern European parenting > American Parenting.

Man and he’s got all those little girls. Arcana players should feel like they embody him or somethin when they play this game.

It’s just that one grab, if you’ve played KoF at all Clark has a similar grab where he pounds his elbow into them after he throws them down. I don’t know if it’s a follow-up command or not though like Clark’s.

Hakan has some of the best music in a SF games, EVER. He also looks incredibly hilarious… I can’t wait to play him!

I would’ve preferred Eagle, but whatever. A new character is a new character.

Someone for everyone, I guess.

hahaha hilarious mental image…

When I first saw Hakan it reminded me of this:

Oil up and be a family man.
