THX i assume you didnt watch the S.Kill vid? becouse his Super(and Special ) Jumpgrab is a grab that Catchs STANDING/Jumping opponents but misses Crouching ones^^(well at least the Special so i assume that the SUPER has the same advantage(jump) and disadvantage(crouching)

i wonder if the opponent can HIT this grab BEVORE Hakan Grabs the opponent or if he grabs the opponents hitbox right away! (i assume the first one and so its not as solid as it would be)

and for the OIL it seems it takes REALY REALY LONG so its nothing you could possibly buffer in some Videos it was Punishable at Longrange (hopefully the low kick version is much faster!!)

towards strong is cancellable?! that’s his charging shoulder isn’t it? that is fucking sick… i didn’t expect that one of his command normals would be cancellable!

i put up a moveset and attributes thread, so if you guys find anymore info about things like cancellable normals or move properties just jot it down on the thread.

also, are those combos the trials for Hakan? If so, does anyone want to put up a thread for combos?

That tells me that U2 is fast enough to use against anything that puts your opponent in the air on reaction. Scary.

Ya, I’ve wonder what input shortcuts will be available to Hakan for his ultra 2. The the big question is if db, d, df all count as three independent down motions. If so then you can do ultra 2 by simply riding the stick on the bottom of the gate… lol that’s stupid easy.

Even if you have to do it twice (ie db,d,df,d,db,d,df) that’s still a super fast input.

Standing HP reminds me of Oro’s stand HP, which could not be cancelled. Still hope Hakan’s can be though!

Is this from the first Meristation video where Hakan is in his alternate costume? Because that’s not slide into OCH, that’s FA x2 crumple into OCH…

If I’m a Rufus player and my Hakan opponent is throwing out random bonos in expectation of my dive kicks, I’m feeling ok. Random guesses like that don’t deal with dive kicks very well. Think about how often you see characters with good get-off-me moves use their moves against Rufus: almost never, since it’s just not worth the risk that he won’t do a dive kick or will evade the move. Dive kicks are too fast and guideable to react to.

Whether you can use u2 on reaction depends on how fast the bono starts up and on whether anything beats it, since after all lots of other ultras lose free to many special moves, even counter ultras. I’d love to use it that way, hope we can. But using it randomly imo is a waste, just like using most non-instant ultras randomly is a waste.

If it’s true that characters who can’t change their jump trajectories can’t jump on Hakan when he gets his u2, then that’s clearly pretty badass. His stand roundhouse dropkick looks like a sick antiair in some videos too. Wonder what else he has, maybe regular standing fierce from certain ranges? I haven’t seen most of his normals, especially his crouching ones, so I don’t know if any of them look good as antiairs. I wouldnt mind if his non-ultra antiairs were situational normals. Anyone know?

Well, standing fierce looks like Honda’s standing fierce, which worked as an anti-air in most cases. I’m hoping Hakan’s standing fierce can be used the same way. Hakan seems to be lacking in the anti-air department. Other than that, out of all we know so far he’s got his air-to-airs and his normal air grab. Here’s to hoping we’ll see/find more anti-airs in the weeks coming up to release.

Does Blanka’s Coward Crouch have the same properties as well?

Yes, it looks like it is very similar to Blanka’s coward crouch. Blanka’s version of the move can only be hit by moves with hitboxes very close to the ground, as well as throws. Generally, he can be hit out of it with any cr. kick attack as well as certain DPs up close (since the hitbox is so low on those). Some interesting stuff Blanka’s CC can avoid are pretty much all focus attacks, Chun’s cr. HK, Sim standing and jumping HP (stretchy versions), among others.

As far as anti-air moves, his drop-kick move (I think d/f+HK or maybe just crouching HK) is surprisingly good. Not sure how it fares against any kind of jump in but in my limited experience it seemed fairly solid. Seems to hit further than it looks, I know that in earlier builds some of Juri’s blocked pinwheel kicks could be punished with the drop-kick.

we can all thank the people at Giant Bomb tricking the scrubs and retards watching the stream, cuz apprently they think Hakan is horrible. This is all coming from people who just want to see ultras, colors, theme music, and taunts:wgrin:
